That night I lay in bed....staring at my new ceiling......I can't sleep, I get out of bed. Walking over to my desk I turn the light of my lamp on. Light fills half my room. It's a good thing....I don't want my light to wake my parents. I go over to my boxes. Opening the first box I get to.....books.....I carefully put them in alphabetical order by author. By the time i'm finished with my books I have already emptied four boxes. I glance at my alarm.....it reads four... I have two hours till I haft to get up for school. I'm a bit tired....I get back in bed and close my eyes... after turning off my lamp. Sleep took over like a feather ....a light weightlessness.....dizzy yet calm..

   Feels like only a few seconds....my alarm goes off....I get out of bed and head to the shower. I dress and get ready...

             School went by fairly quickly...I made a new friend...Hannah......We met during lunch. I was looking for a place to sit. When I couldn't find one I started for the library. Right before I got to the doors a girl (Hannah) called to me. I turned to face her. Bright ; blue eyes , jet black hair. she is what you call mid popular...well known, friendly, but has her enemies...nice to the losers like me and cool with the preps. She seems to earn her respect. I go over to her. She tells her group of friends to make a space for me. They do; they smile and welcome me to their group. We talk all during lunch, they ask me questions. I ask them questions, before I know it my  phone goes from three contacts to twelve. When school ends Brett finds me and offers me a ride home. I take it. As we pull into my driveway he looks at me. 

"What ?" I ask smiling

" You're beautiful." My heart jolts. I tell him he's crazy.  And I tell him that I haft to go inside to finish unpacking. He tell me that he is going to help me unpack and I have no say in the matter. 

2 hours later

We finish unpacking. We take the boxes downstairs and into the garage. I tell him that he might want to go since I haft to head to the mall and buy a few things. He insists on giving me a ride. Walking through the mall I go into a bunch of different clothing stores. I buy a few things from each one. Brett grabs a few of the bags from my hands and carries them...no complaining once. 

"So if I might ask...why are you buying so many clothes?" He asks

" I threw away most my clothes when we moved....I need a new look...for a new me." I tell him a little sheepishly.He helps me put up all my clothes and accessories. I thank him and see him to the door. 

" So..Scar.....I want to take you out." He looks at me."I want to make you the happiest girl....I have only known you for a couple days but I feel like I have known you for a lifetime. That from the second I met you I knew I had to have you." I look at him...smile on my face tears in my eyes.

"What do you say? Will you be mine?" He looks hopeful. 

"Yes....yes........" He hugs me. He wraps his arms around me and I hug him back tightly. He kisses my forehead. Says goodnight and goes to his car. He leaves.....I feel like i'm seeing stars....in a good way. I feel like nothing can hold me back. I go to my room and fall back onto my bed ...I fall asleep with a smile on my face for the first time in a long time.
