Shots in the dark
|•Inside the book•|
Virgil sighed, as he laid back, exausted, a bit of a black eye and bruises on his covered arms.
"Virgil, you look..." Roman started, as Patton rushed over to the last member to join.
"Debilitated." Logan finished, glancing over his injuries, lightly brushing the bruises that were forming.
"What happened, kiddo?" Patton asked Virgil, concerned.
"Well, the SD guy tried to take Thomas, and I set him down and tackled the guy, and we both ended up in the book, I think. 'm tired." Virgil said, yawning, laying down on the ground.
"You did that, hot topic?" Roman asked, astounded. Virgil was never the type, but these were sticky situations.
Virgil hummed in response, as he yawned again, closing his eyes.
Patton took off his cardigan and handed it to Virgil, who gave Pat a small smile and grabbed it, using it as a makeshift pillow. Virgil then decided to skip the middle man and just lay on Patton's lap, grey cardigan used as a makeshift blanket. Patton chuckled, but didn't say anything about it. He started running soft fingers through Virgil's hair, which was dyed purple at the bangs.
"Is Thomas alright?" Patton asked, softly. Even though he didn't know Thomas at all, he still cared about the boy.
Virgil once again hummed, as he fell asleep, his exaustion overtaking him.
"Patton, do you know why it's so dark right now?" Roman asked, glancing around the darkened room. Patton opened his mouth to respond.
"My hypothesis leads me to conclude that the book cover is closed." Logan chimed in, cutting off Patton before he could respond. Though it didn't bother Patton none.
"Well, who has the book?" Roman asked again, glancing back at Virgil, who was semi sound asleep.
"Rest assured, Roman. It would not be in the hands of....him. It is highly probable that Thomas has possession of the book." Logan explained, a sudden realization dawning on him. "It is also highly probable that my brother had taken him into the house, since his last location was on my lawn. Therefore, my brother would also be in possession of the book. We are in, litteral, safe hands."
"That makes sense..." Roman's words drifted off, as the real question started burning the tip of his tongue.
How were they going to get out of there?

Thomas sat at the brightly lit kitchen table with Lucas and a cup of promised hot chocolate, taking in how nice this house looked.
"So. Do you have a recollection of your address?" Lucas asked, seemingly distracted. "Or phone number?"
"K-kinda Mister." Thomas said, taking a sip of hot chocolate carefully. It was still hot.
"I see. Tell me, Thomas. Have you seen a tall teenager, glasses and a button up shirt, on this lawn recently? He is my younger brother, Logan. It seems as if he and his friends were waiting for me to arrive outside of the house, with the noticable picnic basket and crumpled blanket. But I have not seen sign of him recently." Lucas explained, and Thomas looked down.
That was his brother that Dee hurt?
Thomas didn't know what to do, Lucas's brother was trapped in the book, along with his friends.
"Um...maybe." Thomas said, not lying, but not saying the truth.
"I understand. It is quite alright, Thomas. Logan will show his face eventually. He could possibly be studying, holed up in his room. If you do not remember accurately, do not spread fabrications." Lucas said, as he patted Thomas on the head, who just looked guiltier by the minute.
What was he going to do?
