Preface
During the summer of 1866, German anthropologist and archeologist Hermann Schrödinger and his fifteen students led an expedition deep into the Siberian tundra. It later came to be known as the Inchutsk Incident and was widely publicized by the Western media during the Cold War. The purpose of the expedition was to find the ancient City of Glass, purported by the myths of the indigenous people. The records of Schrödinger's diary proved that they had made a discovery of utmost importance. However, it wasn't what they had hoped for.
The following is a reconstruction and translation of Schrödinger and his team's journey and findings in the harsh tundra deep within the Siberian heartland, sourced by the diary obtained by the Russian police who were tasked with finding them once they had gone missing for 11 months without any correspondence.
