The people of the Great City of Chekhua are very humble and modest. The men wear jewellery of quartz, their eyes have been gouged out and replaced by quartz gems. I have asked them why they do this, and they have told me that it helps them see their gods. They do not wear any clothing, which makes perfect sense considering how unusually hot this place is, but they do wear quartz piercings in their ears, nose, breasts, and genitals.

The houses seem to be made of pure quartz as well, both the interior and exterior. It is truly magnificent in its architecture.

They seem to be preparing for some sort of ritual sacrifice. As expected, they worship a horse god, but there doesn't seem to be any horses around. Really, there is no sign of grass anywhere. I have enquired about the exit of this place, but all they do is laugh at me. I also asked some of the locals, who were cooking meat in pots of quite impressive quality, about where they hunt the animals from, but they start hissing at me. Jacob and the rest seem to have wandered off somewhere, I do not know where.

It appears I was wrong about the lead marbles, the people appear to be using them as food, which is quite intriguing. They have offered it to me as well, and after tasting it, I have come to appreciate the taste.
