Afterword
The diary of Hermann Schrödinger was found by the Russian police in a cave inside the Inchutsk mountain of the Ural range. Despite what was written in the diary, there didn't seem to be any wall of quartz. In fact, there was no sign of any quartz at all, as the cave did not extend even twenty meters inwards. Only one body was found, which was presumed to be Schrödinger, however, it was frozen and in a terrible state of decay. An iron pot was also found in the cave, inside which were human bones that were stuck in ice. Experts believe that the frustration of not being able to find the ancient city, in addition to the harsh weather, most likely drove the team to madness, leading them to cannibalize each other.
