Kayla's existence in this area ruins my mood eventually. From the moment when Clerence bumps into her until the moment when the others catch up, I can't describe how desperate I've wanted to squeeze her to death as if she is a random bug.
Although I don't talk much to her, I won't forget to keep her annoying nature in mind, which is being busybody, judgemental, demanding and also mean. Not only due to the fact that she'd bullied me a week before, it's because this nightmare had long started since my first month of college. Needless to say, her bullying skills become better each time I encountered her.
Thus when the boys are talking, I begin to observe Kayla's face, though I hate staring at it for a long time.
Apparently, curiosity makes her brace her ear to eavesdrop about their topics. Before my mood darkens, my episodic memory begins to play the moment when I wrote down my fourth wish - seek revenge on Kayla in every form.
If she's foolish enough to appear here, why not I grab the chance and have a double-wish granting night?
With the thought shining bright like a bulb in my mind, a smirk eventually creeps across my face. And without a second thought, I put out my leg and successfully trip her when she's about to catch up with the boys.
Just like how she had done to me on my first day of college.
"I thought you said you're coming here to play?" I mumble to her with my hands crossed when eyeing the boys' reaction - Greg and Dominic are suppressing their laughter while Hansel and Clerence are hiding their laughing figure behind their stony cold faces.
Yes, I can hear their extremely loud laughter ringing in their minds. I know it is impolite for me to invade their privacies, but this has become one of my talents as a supernatural being - I can't stop hearing extra sounds which normal humans are unable to hear.
"Ow..." Kayla's whine pulls me back to reality when I notice her gaze on the four. She's obviously expecting for one of the guys' aid but ended up being helped by a random passer-by. "Thank you," she says with a little reluctance to the man who helped her up from the dirty ground. The guys are still standing there, looking at her like dumbfounded statues.
As the man begins to concern about her current condition, the boys decide to leave as awkwardness is slowly dominating. As for Kayla, she panicks when the only thing she can do is to watch them leave her with this stranger.
"Don't let me see you elsewhere again, bitch," I cast her a scorn before floating off to the sky. As I have lost track of the boys, I need a high place to search for them easily. "Oh, there they are."
Intended to locate myself behind the four, I dive down from the sky and land with a gust of wind. Cold wind, which sends shiver down their shoulders and spines. However, they choose to ignore when the person-in-charge of the roller coaster station opens the little metal gate for them to enter.
Clerence's face shows all kinds of reluctance and unwillingness as he enters with the other three. But as soon as they are seated on four of the blanks, two-by-two, I can see Kayla and her gang of girls approaching the gate with tickets paid. Once she walks pass the little entrance, the other girls follow with their hips swinging from side to side.
Their faces brighten up with grins when they notice the boys. Rolling my eyes, I watch as they begin to greet each other and chitchat after taking their seats. Since there are three girls in Kayla's group, this spares me an empty seat where no one will ever sit on beside Kayla, the lousiest leader I've ever seen in my breathing life.
Yes, I am still breathing since I'm in coma, but not dead. Touch wood.
Aiming at the empty seat, I dive down after hovering over their heads for minutes and take it. "You're not going to have the boys alone here, bitch," I blurt out nonchalantly. But strangely, Kayla bulges her eyes in shock before turning to the back angrily.
"What did you guys just say?" she questions with her eyebrows furrowed deep.
"What do you mean?" The girl with chocolate brown hair asks. Confusion is written all over their faces. "We talked about Dance Club, and the song we're going to perform next," she admits without stuttering, meaning she's not lying.
"Are you okay?" asks the blonde one with concern. She appears to be the shortest among the others in Kayla's group, yet she has the most admirers comparing to the other two.
One minute of hesitation ticktocks the time away while Kayla eyes the two with suspicion. "I'm okay," she turns back to face the front, where the boys are sitting. Due to the seatbelt, she finds herself unable to lean forward and talk to them. Soon, the roller coaster jerks with metal screeching underneath after the roaring announcement for psychological preparation.
"Oh my gosh, it's moving." The shaking voice belongs to Clerence while the others snickers. Perplexingly, his heartbeat vibrates through my ear drums and it is accelerating alongside with the speeding roller coaster. "Oh god, it's going up!! It's going up!!!"
I giggle before turning to see Kayla, whose action fumes me with annoyance again because she is trying to film everything happened to the boys in front. Almost immediately, my hand acts faster than my brain because in only a blink of my eyes, this girl is already gasping in shock due to her falling phone from the higher ground.
"My phone!"
"Oops?" I say playfully when she widens her eyes again and starts to look everywhere. I think she can hear my voice.
I need to shut up.
But how am I supposed to keep myself from yelling when I'm seated on a roller coaster?
I know you're gonna suggest me to get down before it is too late. But hell, I wanna ride on it so much!
Soon, this long ass vehicle comes to a halt up on the 'cliff' before inching slowly towards the steep track. People on this vehicle begins to repeat the same words over and over again. Breaths are hitched and eyes are super wide with hearts beating frantically.
As soon as the track underneath is unseen, plus the atmosphere and height here is truly afar from the grassy ground, there slides the roller coaster down with the speed that makes us cry or yell like there's no tomorrow, needless to say about the boys sitting in front as well.
To be honest, all of us have become a great crowd of shouting messes. In fact, the situation worsens when the coaster spins 360° for two freaking times. Although I've promised not to yell or show any response toward the ride, I still find myself grabbing the handle tightly while my lips are agape because of non-stop shrieking.
The thrill is insane and the feeling is totally unexplainable with words. Boys and girls are all breathing heavily, their chests rising and falling with different sorts of expressions after the vehicle is stopped - terrified, enjoyed, happy, and also not to leave out the 'who-am-I-where-is-this-and-what-happened' expression plastered on Clerence's face.
The scene where Greg slaps his back and wakes him up from his circle of thoughts is kind of heart-warming yet hilarious. I can tell by looking at the way Clerence jumps a little upon the contact. "C'mon, let's play other games here, shall we?" he suggests while Clerence clears his throat before nodding nonetheless. Watching as the people begin to leave, I won't forget to hop down of the vehicle.
But before I'm about to follow the boys, I can see Kayla jumping out right after the roller coaster stops, searching for her dropped phone. Her tears almost crawl out and ruin her mascara face but the effect isn't good either after she finds it.
Because the phone has split into half and not to mention about the profoundly damaged screen.
"No," she sobs, smearing mascara all over her face when she wipes her tears. Seeing that there's someone patting her back to soothe her, I flip my hair upon my hard work before floating away to catch up with the boys.
"That serves you right for judging and humiliating people who are weaker than you whenever you like," I mutter with rage but with a little satisfaction as well while leaving those girls. My vision focusing to the boys as I don't wish to look at their disgustingly fake smiles and pouts ever again. Not even when I'm floating around as a soul.

Kayla
I can feel the strong pain invading my eyes when my tears become impatient. Holding my broken phone in my palms, mixed expressions are what flooded on my face – sad, angry, frustration, confusion.
"It's okay, Kayla. You can request for a new phone since your birthday is around the corner," Dyna the blondie suggests when I sniffle. My nose is red as I can see it through my peripheral vision.
We are now walking out of the roller coaster station in slow paces. My head is still lowered for the phone pieces. "But I love this phone so much..." My voice shakes as it comes out in a whimper. "My ex-boyfriend gave it to me..."
"Oh please, Kayla. Haven't you gotten over it yet?" Elina, the brown haired girl asks with her head tilted in disbelief. "What about Clerence, I thought you have a crush on him."
"Of course I am," I admit unwillingly through gritted teeth. "But this phone is super convenient though."
The two girls only shake their heads and roll their eyes skywards, speechless upon the illogicality of the words I've spoken.
My tears are finally dry after several times of wiping with the back of my hand, until suddenly, Dyna pulls my right one with the expression of shock written all over her slightly make-uped face. "Oh my god Kayly..." her voice shows how scared she is. "Look."
And she lets Elina examine the bruised marks on my forearm, which I had rested it on the chair handle. It shapes like... like a hand! Someone, or something grabbed me on the arm during the roller coaster ride.
And I was truly unaware of it.
The mark is fading, as if in a fairy tale which injuries can be healed without medicine and in an extremely short period of time. "Oh no, we need to go to church now," Dyna says hurriedly when I watch the boys leave without me once again. A part of me wants to follow them, but it is not a right time now.
Memories on the roller coaster comes flashing like the shutter of a digital camera. And what comes next is a shudder that runs down my spine. "We do need to go to church," I babble because of fear. "And I mean now."
_____
The three of us walk out of the church with guilt running past our eyes. I know it is a shame for me to ask for forgiveness every time after I'd bullied someone. But I just can't help it. The feeling of being stronger than anyone else is overwhelming and addicting to be experienced again, and that's what made me continue to do it.
The thing you need is not holy water, but the forgiveness from the ones you had offended, Miss Jennings.
The pastor's advice rings in my head even though I have reached home and slid into my Mickey Mouse pajamas.
Am I being that self-centered towards everyone? Even towards Elina and Dyna?
Am I that annoying until someone's soul wants to seek revenge on me?
The bloody scenes I've watched in movies begin to project throughout my head and I shiver in fright. "The reason why the people die was because they killed the victim, well I didn't kill anyone, so I will be fine, right?" I say, talking to myself which appears to be one of my habits to come out with a conclusion.
I remember myself bullying Sasha last week. And she didn't even attend her class today, so did Clerence. This would be weird because they usually won't absent on the same day, since they don't know each other well as I am towards the boy.
You're not going to have the boys alone here, bitch.
To be honest, that voice sounds a little bit like Sasha's.
