Third Person POV
Two months have gone in a flash. The funeral is full of people dressed in black and white suit. Matching to the gloomy mood of all the people here, the sky is full of grey clouds. Low, faint thunder roars occasionally before tiny, cold raindrops begin to shower the place. Resultantly, black umbrellas with different sizes are opened.
Hooking her arm around Clerence's, Sasha rests her head on her boyfriend's shoulder as a sign of consolation. "He won't wish to see you like this, Cler..." her voice is cut off by lightning and the following thunder.
"I agree with your fiancé, my boy," Clerence's mother chimes in. With a big black umbrella held in her hands, she is shielding all three of them from the invasion of cold rain water. "Your father would not want to see you like this. Neither does your sister too."
The fact that he is extremely upset is not only because of his father's death, but also his sister's disappearance. After hearing the news of their father, his sister had told them about returning on time. However, the news last night struck the family harder than Mother Nature's lightning bolt. Unfortunately, his sister will not be able to make it due to the plane crash. Before they lose all of her contacts, she sent her brother a message saying how much she loves all of them. And how much she regrets upon the bad ways she'd treated them with before.
"We will find your sister, Cler," assures Sasha with certainty burns in her eyes. Clerence sighs while his vision never leaves hers. Both of them are facing each other under the umbrella, with Clerence's mother watching them silently and wiping her strayed tears before gesturing the two to leave together. "But to find her, you need to fight against your negative thoughts so you can think rationally, just like what we've always wanted."
Clerence nods upon her advice, but he remains quiet. The three of them, including Clerence's mother are now walking back to the car. The heavy rain has turned into a drizzle. Yet, there are still tapping sound caused by the falling raindrop, reminding them about this place full of sadness and despair.
Soon, they are back in the car with Clerence's mother as the driver. To see her own son brings his girlfriend home makes her feel proud, because she still has the chance to see her son become a man like her husband. It should be a happy news which is worth celebrating, but destruction is bad at choosing timings. Aside from facing her husband's death, she has to endure the pain of losing one of her children at the very same time.
As they are heading back, none of them are talking, only silence which sometimes holds the most words. Words that are swallowed back to the deepest part of the heart and never to be spoken aloud. Words that one chooses to keep to themselves for not to affect the other. "We are here," says Clerence's mother with her shaky voice after parking her car by the metal gate, cutting the couple out from their own reverie.
Hopping out of the car, the pair follows the woman's pace into the double-storey terrace house with their fingers interlocked but their expressions serious and show no trace of happiness. Once they are all inside the house, Clerence strides towards his own room upstairs with his hand still holding on Sasha's. He is half-dragging her up but he is not aware of it. Not until Sasha's voice enters his ears.
"Clerence." Her voice sounds alarmed but cautious. "There's nothing to rush about."
"There is," whispers Clerence as he closes his room door for the sake of their privacy. "You see, life is so fragile. It can or cannot be yours. I wish to spend the rest of my lifetime with my family and you, Sasha. I don't wish to regret upon the last thing I have done to you all before I die..."
"Shhh...shhh..." soothes Sasha as she pulls him into her warm hug. Her soft shush vibrates by his ears, sending hot breaths that could make him quiver upon. "Fate is not the thing you can control, if you deserves to have the thing or the person, it would always be yours," adds Sasha before both of them succumbs into each other's kiss but a brief one. "I am yours, and you're mine."
"I love you, Sasha." Although this isn't the first time her boyfriend has said such romantic words, Sasha could still feel the rush of adrenaline through her veins. Her face flusters when she smiles upon the proposal. "So much."
"I love you too, Clerence," she replies before placing a feathery kiss on the boy's cheek. "Now, we should probably take some rest." Though with their eyes still watery with tears, the idea leads out their smirk before the boy carries the girl bridal style without her consent and throws her onto the bed, giggling but with occasional sniffles.
Snaking her arms around the back of Clerence's neck, Sasha stares straight into her boyfriend's light green eyes, smiling longingly before they kiss again. This time, it is a passionate one. Aggressive but careful. Occasionally, low moans can be heard when they begin caressing each other until their clothes become scarce. "Wait," breathes Clerence as he catches his breath, his muscular chest rises and falls rapidly. "I'm sorry I-I just..." While rummaging through his brain for the most appropriate words, he couldn't stop raking his fingers through his tousled hair.
"Just what?" asks Sasha while Clerence lies by her side apprehensively. His eyes unreadable.
Before continuing his unfinished sentence, the boy's sigh breaks the short silence. "I just can't get over with my own self." Clerence's excuse is vague, but Sasha gets the meaning. By putting herself into her boyfriend's shoes, she knows Clerence would feel the guilt for enjoying in the midst of his sister's abscondence.

Sasha Shadows
I hate the way everything goes between the two of us now. Bad luck keeps knocking on Clerence's door these days and there's no doubt he is always moody. "Maybe I'm really a vacuum cleaner," mutters Clerence gloomily with a little sense of humour.
"Why?" I ask while lying sideways to take a better look at his jawline. The weak light penetrated from the white curtains outline his angular face as I admire his sideways beauty.
"Because not only I attract girls, I attract bad luck too..." I force myself not to snort or giggle upon his statement as Clerence doesn't seem fine for now. No, he is not fine at all.
"You're just having a hard time, Clerence. No matter what happens, I'm always there for you." I take hold of his hand and he lets me. Both of us lie side by side with our fingers intertwined. Views fixed on the plain white ceiling. "Let's just get some sleep, okay. We'll discuss the plan later."
"There's no use, Sash..." breathes Clerence as he faces me. His protective arm encircles my waist while smelling the scent of my hair. His chin rests on top of my head before he continues, "The only thing we can do is to wait for the Search Team to contact us. My sister is reported missing. Her body is missing. The least I can do is pray for her body retrieval, so that she can... at least... have a place to rest..." Clerence's voice cracks when he mentions about his sister. This is just too much for him to handle.
First, his father. Then, me. And now, his sister, which he even assumes her being dead during plane crash.
"There is no such thing as miracle, Sash. Unless you are lucky enough to have it." He is starting it again, as if he can hear my mind. His voice is muffled when he presses his dry lips on my neck, inhaling me again. His tears drip-drops on my skin as I lie still. Heartbeat accelerating.
Knowing that I can't give him hope about his sister's survival pains me the most, especially my heart. "I'll pray with you, babe," I utter dryly while feeling my own tears brimming on my cheeks as well. "You are not going through this alone for this time." Upon hearing my words, my boyfriend retreats from the crook of my neck and both of us eye each other again.
This time, his green eyes shine with hope and appreciation, which is what I've unexpected. "I'm lucky to have you, Sasha Shadows."
Finally, he has spoken the very word I wish to hear. Lucky. And I will make sure this thought lasts as long as it can be.
By giving him the courage to face his fears.
