Chapter 3:
Scrooge threw the door of his mansion open with the boys and Webby trailing behind.
"So, you never answered my question, who's Webby? And where are we? And who are you? And~" Webby's annoying questioning was interrupted when Louie finally cracked, "Oh just shut it already!" Webby's smile quickly faded into a frown. After all, is wasn't her fault she didn't know what was going on, that sort of bump on the head could have given anyone amnesia, possibly even Scrooge.
"What our brother, Louie, means to say is umm..." Huey paused, trying to think of a reasonable explanation for Louie's sudden outburst when out of the corner of his eye he spotted Mrs Beakly heading towards them.
"I see you actually managed to get the children back unharmed. I'm surprised." She teased.
Mrs Beakly then turned to the boys and Webby, ignoring the fact that the boys were sweating and smiling awkwardly, she knew straight away they were up to no good but thought it was best not to interfere in the trouble they were going to get in.
"Webby, how was the trip?" Webby didn't reply. She just stared at the strange lady in puzzle. Who was she? Was she a friend or foe? Either way she seemed oddly familiar.
"Haha, ooookay, Webby didn't you say you wanted to play medieval dungeons of eternal screams?" With a fake smile plastered across his face, Huey grabbed Webby's hand and pulled her up the stairs, Louie, Dewey and Scrooge following behind.
Mrs Beakly thought it was strange of them wanting to play such a game with Webby but, nonetheless, was glad they weren't leaving her alone.
Once the boys reached their room Scrooge told them to take care of Webby while he searched for the 'incurable' fate Webby had landed herself into.
Before he could walk off an angry duck bursted, "What?! But Uncle Scrooge why can't we search for a cure on the internet? I spend my life on it I would know where to look!" Louie complained. Scrooge put his foot down and claimed he was the one who always asked Webby join in the adventures the family shared while looking for lost treasure or hidden cities, if she didn't come it wouldn't have happened.
"I got her into this, now I'm getting her out!" Scrooge stated as Louie just rolled his eyes and let out a long, complaining sigh, "uuuuuggggghhhhhh fiiiiiiiiiiine" Scrooge walked out of the boys room and into his office where he began searching for the 'unknown' cure.
The boys figured to pass the time they would play a game of Jenga. They sat Webby down on a bean bag and began setting it up as she innocently looked around.
Finally placing the last block on top they turned their attention to Webby. "Okay, Webby you go first." Dewey insisted, sitting down on another bean bag to her right. "So...what do I do?" Webby asked, innocently. Huey, being the one with the most patience, took a deep breathe and explained the game to Webby. "Just choose one block to pull out but don't push the tower down." He explained.
Webby slowly grabbed a block. The boys, expecting her to pull it slowly moved their heads closer to the jenga tower and underneath her hand to see as suspense lurked around the room.
Webby quickly pulled the block from the tower as it all came tumbling down onto the boys heads. "Ow! Webby!" They all yelled, annoyed.
"What? I didn't push it down, it fell down itself." Webby claimed with an innocent look on her face. All three boys sighed annoyingly and slapped their hands to their heads.
Giving up on trying to teach her anything more they packed up the Jenga game and sat on their beds.
Louie played his phone, Huey read over the junior woodchuck guidebook for what must've been the one millionth time and Dewey, being the most concerned triplet for Webby's case, went on his phone to search for a cure. He thought it would go faster if Scrooge wasn't the only one searching.
Webby started pacing back and forth asking annoying questions. The boys tried there hardest to ignore her because they knew it wasn't her fault. Every time they felt like yelling they would think of all the times they've annoyed Webby and all the times she's instantly forgiven them, like when they left her on the beach all alone while they went canoeing.
Although, the boys were all doing there seperate things they knew how each other felt. They all felt bad for yelling at Webby, deep inside themselves they didn't mean to yell at her. Not only were they guilty but they were also worried. Was Webby going to be like this forever? Stuck with no memory of who she was or who the boys were?
What have they done?
