There seemed to be signs everywhere I looked, I was beginning to feel a little overwhelmed. I was surrounded by a bunch of random strangers everywhere. It was interesting... but I didn't feel like I was in any danger. I was starting to like these new experiences! The other place we used to live at was already old and messed up, but now we live in a nice two story house. Why was I always upset? My life was amazing!! I had a boost of confidence right then, I felt like I could do anything. I proceeded to aimlessly wander through the city, at one point I found myself in an alleyway with graffiti and posters on the walls. Graffiti is illegal, yeah. But it's interesting to see all of the things people leave. I walked into an interesting café, there were a few teenagers singing together in there.

"クライアント！ここで待ってて。" A girl with very long wavy hair that seemed to have stars in it rushed over to me. She was one of the teenagers who were singing. She wore a jacket with shorts, which was kind of funny to me. "おい！アンです、何が欲しいですか？" She greeted happily.

I stared blankly and blinked twice before informing her that I didn't speak Japanese. "I don't know Japanese... I'm not from here."

The girl's eyes lit up, she looked interested. I was starting to notice these Japanese people thought being American was cool. "Wow! That's so cool, maybe you could tell me about where you're from?" She turned to the direction her friends were, and called out to them. "アキト！トーヤ！こはね！この女の子はアメリカから来ました！なんとすごいことなのでしょうか？"

That's when I snapped, the two guys she was with were the cool ones from school! No way I was about to talk to them and make a fool of myself. For whatever reason, I felt like I needed their approval. She was also friends with this really cute blonde girl in a nice outfit. She had such kind brown eyes.

The ginger boy left me in awe as I saw him walk towards me. The closer he got, the more nervous I became. "Hello..." He was struggling to speak English and he had a silly little accent. "My-- いいえ... I am Akito Shinonome." He kept staring at me, making faces like he was thinking really hard.

I mustered up all of the confidence I had inside. "Hii! I'm Setsuko... it's very nice to meet you, Akito."

The boy with different colored hair smiled tenderly at me. "I'm Toya, it's nice to meet you, Setsuko." He said politely.

The shy blonde girl with the cute outfit blushed and looked down. "My name is Kohane... hi." She whispered. I could already tell I'd like her.

"And I'm An! We don't usually get new customers my age so there's lots I'd like to ask and talk to you about! But what would you like?" She smiled at me confidently and friendly.

"Ahh, I don't have any money on me. I'm fine anyways, I just wandered in here while I was exploring." I chuckled to myself. "I heard you guys singing... it sounded really good, could you maybe do it again for me?" I timidly requested of them.

"Sure, why not?! さあ、みんな！" An said as her and her friends walked back over to the little area where they performed.

When they started, I could feel the music vibrating inside of me. This is why I loved loud music and live performances. They all sang so well, I could probably learn a thing or two from them. Akito and Toya seemed to be getting cooler by the minute. I would try to silently sing along with them, but I was doing a horrible job because I didn't know Japanese.

When An heard me she stopped and pulled me next to her, she told me to sing along with the few parts that were in English. At first it felt a little bit awkward, but I ended up having a lot of fun!

"YEAH!!!" I cheered out of pure excitement. For once I felt like I was cool.

When we finished it looked like there was a fire of passion in An's eyes. "You sing great, Setsuko!" She gave me a pat on the back.

My face filled up with blush, I was proud of myself. "Thank you!" I giggled.

Akito jerked back in shock. "ちょっと待って！You're that girl who's always hanging out with Kami****head and giggling like he's tickling you..."

"Profanity!" This Akito guy was so rude... but that only made me want his approval more. "He-- He doesn't tickle me! That's just weird..."

Akito did a face like he was really annoyed and fed up with me. "It's weird that you even like him."

"I don't like him! Do you think I have dreams about kissing him or something?!" I swear I could feel myself heating up around my face and neck.

"Your face really is saying you do, きもい..." Akito rolled his eyes at me and had this horrible look of disgust on his face.

You cannot imagine how much I hated that body of mine for always blushing when I would get embarassed or something like that. I was convinced my face looked funky.

An nudged him hard in the side.

"ARGH!" Akito yelled in pain, he looked even more upset.

An had a fake innocent look on her face and apologized to him sarcastically. "ごめん！あそこでは見かけませんでした！" I could tell she wasn't actually sorry. "It's okay Setsuko." She whispered to me.

Suddenly Honoka came running through the door, and grabbed my hand. "Come on, we're going home." She started to drag me away out of the door.

"NoooOOO!!!!" I screeched overdramatically. "I met some cool people!! All I was doing was exploring! I wasn't doing anything bad!" I gripped as tight as I could onto the frame of the door.

Honoka sighed. "Mom never told you that you could explore, and she didn't know where you were going either. I had to run around everywhere to find you here."

"Please..." I begged, making a fake sad face.

My sister reluctantly let go of my hand. "Say bye to them, and then we go back home."

I scrambled back over to them, I was sure I they thought I was dumb. "Sorry... but I have to go home. Maybe I'll come back here sometime soon!"

An waved bye to me. "Okay! See you soon." She smiled at me.

Honoka took me back home, I was getting the feeling I had annoyed her. "I'm sorry..."

"You need to think before you do, Setsuko. You need to stop." Honoka sounded disappointed in me.

When we got home my mother asked me a thousand questions, then I went up to my room and sat on my bed doing literally nothing.

"Doing nothing is boring, and when youre bored thats bad. It makes you sad." I sang to myself, my lyrics were trash.

My phone dinged, somebody had texted me. Like an idiot, I replied to the ding.

"No, I don't care. Go ding, ding, ding, all you want." I groaned as I turned over to lay on my stomach, my face buried into my pillow.

It dinged again after about five minutes. So I picked my head up, and grabbed my phone. I flipped around to lay on my back instead. It had been Rui texting me, I felt bad for not answering right away. He had sent texts asking if I was busy. I decided I'd just call him.

Rui answered the phone. "こんにちは？Setsuko?"

"Rui I'm bored out of my mind, I'm bored." I complained like a little child.

"Hmm... perhaps I can come over? I wanted to show you some things anyways." He suggested, then did that cute little giggle of his.

"Sure!--" He hung up the phone before I could say anything else.

It wasn't long before I heard him knocking on the door, I zoomed downstairs to let him in.

"Hehehe... hello!" Rui had two drones flying next to him. He flew one in circles around me while he giggled. 

I closed the door behind him, he was still flying the drone in circles around me. "Eheh..." I was starting to get shy and there was blush on my cheeks. "Where'd you get that drone?" I asked him curiously. 

Rui's eyes twinkled at me, I had never noticed them do that before... it almost made my heart flutter inside of my chest. "I made these, actually." He answered.

I was more and more impressed by him every day it seemed, he was so smart and talented. "Wow! You're so talented, Rui! I..." Now I wanted so badly for him to know I loved him, but every time I felt I had enough courage I'd back down. 

Rui smiled at me, each time he did I felt like I had just seen an angel. Every time I saw him I was at a loss for words. "Thank you, Setsuko. You're talented too, you should know and believe that." Before I knew it he was hugging me, it was almost like he knew that was what I needed. 

My eyes started flooding with tears of happiness, I appreciated him more than you could imagine. I always felt like I was nothing, but he made me feel like I was special. 

After the hug, we went up to my room and played with his drones. Flying them all around the house from my room was lots of fun, I had forgotten all about being bored. I was content with life, which wasn't something that usually happened. 

Rui landed his drone on my head and laughed. He was happy, I was happy, everything was perfect! 

I flew my drone close up to him, giving me a nice close up of his face on the camera. "Rui close ups. I should take pictures and sell them online." I joked. 

"ああ、なるほど。" Rui cooed. "In that case..." He steered his drone close up to my face, same as I did to him. "Setsuko close ups. Aren't they lovely?" 

I couldn't help but snicker uncontrollably, and I fell over on my bed laughing. "Lovely indeed!" I rolled over on my back and hopped right back up from my bed. 

Rui stayed over until it was nearly time for dinner. We were simply messing around together the whole time, racing the drones and talking about nothing. Right before he left he decided I could keep the drone I played with, I happily accepted this offer and let him be on his way. I love Rui Kamishiro.
