Rue continued to let Dazai take her over to his workplace, just so she could be around him. To her, this was much fun! Not only because she was near Dazai, getting a front row seat to his ridiculous behavior, but because she made friends of the Armed Detective Agency. 

"Hello Miss Suzuki!" Kenji greeted her happily, waving. "Hello, babies!" He waved at her stomach, kneeling down. That little boy had a pocket full of sunshine. He was an honest, polite, and cheerful young boy. 

Rue really admired that about him. She also liked how Kenji enjoyed being around her so much, how he enjoyed being around anyone. He had a great outlook on life. That boy made the pregnant woman feel much better in the face of certain doom! "Hello, young one!" She patted him on the head.

Then, Atsushi came to greet her. "Good afternoon."

Other members of the agency greeted her when they came by. There wasn't anyone there who didn't really like Rue, they were good people. That day was pretty tame, not much work. 

Yosano ended up coming by, asking to go shopping with Rue. "You! You're the pregnant one, yes? Come shopping with me, we can buy you some new clothes too. You as well, Atsushi, to hold our things!" She almost demanded, a smile on her face. 

Rue was mildly disturbed by the woman in general, since she was drawn towards violent things. "Alright." She accepted anyway, thinking the idea of shopping sounded nice and fun. 

"Good. Come, Atsushi!" Yosano called, walking out of the building with Rue and the boy. 

Rue was right, shopping with Yosano was much fun! She had forgotten all about everything. Suzu, Eliza, even Dazai! "Ah! I like this dress, do you think it would look nice on me?" She held up a red dress her size, one from the maternity section. 

"Mm... I think so." Yosano nodded, actively picking out articles of clothing she wanted to buy and throwing them onto Atsushi. 

He was far too nice to say no to her, and also mildly intimidated by her. Plus, Rue was pregnant, and couldn't possibly hold the things. He struggled a bit, trying not to drop the things. 

"Perhaps I can hold some of my things?" Rue offered, feeling a little bad for Atsushi.

Atsushi shook his head no. "You're pregnant, you should take it easy." He insisted. 

Rue sighed, trying to figure out what favor she could do him. "I could buy you something... or give you some yen? Whatever you like." 

Atsushi agreed timidly, smiling. "If you really want to, I guess." 

Once done shopping, they made a trip to Eliza's apartment to drop off the things. 

"Eliza! I went shopping with two of the members of the agency, and need to drop off what I bought." Rue informed, a wide smile on her face. She hadn't been this happy in a while. 

Eliza came up to the three of them as they walked into the shop. "Alright. The door is open, head upstairs." She went back to tending to the customers. 

The three of them went up the stairs, and into the apartment. 

"Thank you for doing all this, I truly appreciate it." Rue thanked Atsushi and Yosano, helping them put the bags of clothes down. 

Yosano smiled back. "I enjoyed shopping with you." 

Suzu came into the living room, confused as to what was taking place. "Who--" She started to ask, before staring at Atsushi for a very long time.

Rue gazed at the two of them staring at one another, almost like they were both hypnotized by something. Then it snapped, she finally understood. "Oh?" Rue couldn't help but snicker just a bit, because it was far too funny to watch her sister develop a crush on a boy who was random to her in real time. "These are people from Osamu's work, I went shopping with them." She answered, not needing Suzu to finish her question. 

"Okay..." Suzu's face was almost completely red, and she speedily left the room. 

Atsushi looked very confused, and was also red-faced. 

Rue let out a bark of laughter at that point. "What a sight to see!" 

Yosano seemed mildly amused as well. "Huh..." 

"W-what? Why are you staring at me?" Atsushi was obviously becoming more and more self conscious. 

Yosano and Rue said the same thing in unison. "Oh, nothing." 

The boy was extremely flustered, and just decided to let it go as not to embarrass himself further. 

Later that evening, after the two ADA members left, Suzu asked about Atsushi. "So... do you know anything else about that boy who seems to be incapable of cutting his hair correctly?"

Rue smirked, liking this conversation already. "Well, his name is Atsushi Nakajima. He's a kind boy. A bit of a pushover, I suppose..." She trailed off, looking into the distance. "He also has an ability, one where he can turn into a tiger. He's quite the selfless one, from what I've seen. Very polite, well mannered. He also has his wits about him." She continued to praise him, trying to make him sound the best as possible without lying. 

Suzu seemed more and more interested. "Oh..." She went silent for a moment. 

"Why?" Rue asked, as a way to poke fun at her a little. It was obvious Suzu didn't want anybody to know she was interested in Atsushi.

Suzu looked almost panicked in her eyes, but hid it well. If Rue didn't know her personally, she would have been fooled. "Because I don't want you to be hanging around a bunch of weirdos. They could bring you trouble if you're not careful." This was partially true, but she also just liked Atsushi.

"The Armed Detective Agency is full of good people, they treat me well despite being a bit chaotic. I think it's fun to be around them. Oh! How about I take you with me one day, hm?"

Suzu was silent for a moment, skeptical to the idea. "Maybe, maybe not." She tapped on the table idly. "There's something I've been needing to bring to your attention." She said in a more serious tone, siting up straight. 

"What's that?" Rue inquired, a hint of worry in her voice. 

Suzu sighed. "You need to tell Father about those babies. You can't just not visit him forever, so that he doesn't find out. He will find out, this isn't something you should or could possibly hide." 

Rue knew Suzu was probably right, but was still afraid. "I can't, he'll probably hate me. Imagine, I walk up to him and say: 'Father, forgive me but I've accidentally became pregnant by a very suicidal man you might as well call a failure. I was trying to save his life. Please don't ask for details, I'm not sure how it happened myself.' I would look so stupid!! He wouldn't like Osamu either. I know for a fact he wouldn't tell me to abort the children... what if I did? Should I?" 

"What's wrong with you?! Don't abort them. Don't do that. If you'd like, I can go with you when you tell him so you don't feel as scared." Suzu suggested, trying to come off as comforting instead of angry.

"I don't want to go!!!" Rue exclaimed, beginning to become overwhelmed. 

Suzu got up from her chair at the table, stepping next to Rue and rubbing her back. "Shhh. It's gonna be okay, you have to go tell him." 

"No, no, no NO!!" Rue cried, shaking her head no to further emphasize her point. "I didn't-- I didn't do that. I'm good, right? I just want to be small again, I hate being grown. I don't want to! I don't want to!!! I won't!!!!" She sniffled, freaking out even more. 

Eliza heard all of the noise from her little workshop room, and came rushing over to Rue. "Rue, Rue, calm down. Nobody's going to make you do anything" She reassured, hugging her dear friend. "but we both agree you should tell your father." 

"What if he hates me? What if he disowns me?" Rue wasn't screaming anymore, but she continued to cry her eyes out.

"He wouldn't do that, I don't think." Eliza said as she ran her fingers through Rue's hair. 

Suzu nodded in agreement with Eliza. "Exactly, that's a ridiculous thing to think. He may be angry, though. Or just disappointed?" She didn't really know what his reaction would be herself. 

"Okay... alright... fine. Perhaps I will tell him." Rue gave in, hanging her head. 

Eliza smiled warmly. "And that's good, it will let you have more support through this. You shouldn't stress yourself out so..." 

There was a noise of someone entering the shop downstairs, and all of their heads perked up. 

Eliza sped off, opening the door and basically flying downstairs. "Wait a minute!!" She looked absolutely ridiculous.

Out of curiosity, Rue and Suzu went to see. They walked down into the shop area, standing on the last step together.
