"Start!"

"Alright, let's see how your shitty quirk compares to mine!" Bakugou yells as he fires a bunch of explosions.

I quickly tap my foot to open an immediate labyrinth.

He gets sucked and and wakes up on the top of a building.

(Ok, I can't possibly describe the entirety of false city, so this isn't en exact guide as to what happened, but this is to familiarize you with what it looks like.)

Bakugou wakes up and sees the witch destroying the city with the ribbons on her back. He looks around at everything and suddenly remembers what I said about my labyrinths.

He's just gotta attack and it'll destroy everything and he'll be released.

I made sure to explain to Midnight before even Tokoyami's match that this was apart of my quirk, and she ruled it legal.

Bakugou uses his explosions non-stop. He fires explosion after explosion, but it doesn't seem to be doing much. At first, they weren't attacking him, but soon the different creatures within the labyrinth started attacking. For everyone ten he took out, another thousand showed up. He was surprised how I could attack with a whole ass army—how my quirk was so powerful in a way no one expected. How I so cleverly exploited the loophole in my quirk and turned it into a major advantage. 

I had what was going on in the labyrinth on display on a faux screen made with my quirk so that things didn't get boring for the crowd, and so that I could display my quirk pros.

Bakugou has now been in the labyrinth for ten minutes and he's almost out of energy—and so am I. This is the most complex labyrinth I can conjure—it requires every last bit of attention and energy I have.

Meanwhile... Shinsou was on the edge of his seat, wanting me to win but also not wanting me to be in so much pain.

Finally, Bakugou was on his knees, and I released the labyrinth.

"Bakugou, can you fight?"

He grits his teeth and grunts before heavily panting. "Yeah, I-I can."

I know there isn't much left in him, so this should be enough.

A summon two illusions of me and have them run around Bakugou quickly—making him dizzy and lightheaded. 

He ends up passing out and is taken to Recovery Girl.

After I'm declared to be the winner, I stumble over to her office too.

"C-can I get some painkillers, please?" I clutch my head and start to scream—realizing how much pain I'm really in.

She gives me some painkillers and I rest a bit before my final match.

While I'm laying, I get a visitor—Shinsou!

"Hey, how're you feeling."

"Better, but my head is killing me—false city is the most complex labyrinth I have, so naturally it gives me the most pain to manage."

"Hm. Well, that was really amazing. I've heard Bakugou to be number one in 1-A, so that was incredible how you beat him."

"Heh, not really. That labyrinth is designed to withstand constant attacks. It defends—wearing down the person who's attacking, them attacks once they've weakened. It's easy to have strength in numbers for this labyrinth specifically, so naturally Bakugou was going to tire himself out eventually."

"Well, good luck for your next match."

"Thanks, I'll definitely need it."

"Hehe." He turns and walks out, and I continue to strategize on how to win.

I know I'm going to lose, but I have to actually try.

I immediately rule out Oktavia—I'd win with her, yes, but it's not fair to Todoroki. Not after the last time we fought. 

What about Walpurgisnacht? Not super complex, and insanely strong. That's my best bet here, but I'm not at full strength, so in turn she'll be far weaker than normal.

"Start!"

I open an immediate labyrinth and leave him to deal with Walpurgis.

(Ofc she isn't as strong in this as she is here. It's more to give an idea of her appearance and defensive strength.)

I display to everyone what's going on, and everyone watches in awe at her strength, can't wait to show her off when I'm at full power. 

Todoroki wears himself down fighting against her. Her only attacks are messing with the surroundings, never directed at Todoroki. He gets caught in the crossfire of shattering buildings and it injures his right arm. He is only left with the option of using his left arm or forfeiting. Even if he chose to use his left, he'd lose. Walpurgisnacht is immune to fire and explosions. Damn, wish I'd thought of her when fighting Bakugou.

In the end, Todoroki decides to forfeit and I release the labyrinth.

I go and rest while I wait for the awards ceremony—how in hell did I get first place? In all honesty what the fuck?

I'm brought out to the podium to accept my award, and Bakugou looks pissed.

I snicker.

"The hell you laughing about?!"

"S-sorry haha! You-your face hahhahahaaa! It just looks so funny! Hahaha!"

"Shut the hell up!"

I calm down and look at the people around us. It's a deafening roar—but among that I can hear the cheers of my classmates. And more than that, I can hear Shinsou. 

I smile at everyone around me, thinking about how I got so lucky to end up here.

All Might congratulates Bakugou and Todoroki—Bakugou throwing a fit.

Then he gets to me.

"Young l/n. You are new to U.A., but that didn't slow you down in the slightest. You are very strong and creative, and can't wait to see you become a mighty hero! Take this medal as a sign of your hard work!"

"Thank you, All Might. 

I stare up at him—almost crying—and he turns to face everyone.

"Well, they were the winners this time, but anyone could have ended up on these podiums. It's just as you saw—competing! Improving each other! And climbing even further! The next generation of heroes is definitely sprouting! So I just have one more thing to say! Everyone, please say it with me! Ready, go—

Thanks for your hard work!"

"Plus Ultra!"

"What?! It should've been 'Plus Ultra!' there, All Might!"

"Well, I thought everyone worked hard..."

"Good work. So there will be no school tomorrow or the day after. I'm sure the pro heroes who watched the sports festival will want to recruit you, but we'll consolidate everything and announce it when you get back. So rest well, and look forward to that."
