Chapter 37
Alton was faced with a guy no taller than six foot one. He was wearing a black cape with the hood up that covered to his nose. He had a mask that covered the rest of his mouth, gloves covering what his hands looked like and because of the mask you couldn't really make what his true voice sounded like.
Because of the fact he didn't have anything to protect himself with and didn't want to creat a full, not too mention he noticed there was more people waiting most likely with the man, waiting a bit further on not to be spotted. Alton decided to quietly leave with them, however he left the strong that was around his left arm and let the fabric that was wrapped around it too fall off a further on.
Lloyd's POV
As me and Cody was sat in the carriage the silence between could basically be cut with a knife. It was taken a while for Alton too come back. Me and Cody looked at each other and we seemed to have the same idea. We got out of the carriage and walked to the front.
When we got there the driver was on the floor passed out, Cody went over I him and checked his pules thankfully he was still alive he was just unconscious. "Where is Alton?! He's not here!" Cody said with a panicking tone of voice.
I looked at him and I think he could tell that I wasn't sure but a panicked and worry look was on my face as well. I looked around and that's when I noticed the string in the floor. I it up and looked at it. Alton was wearing this. . . He must have left it for us to find. .
"Cody can you smell this so we can locate Alton?" I asked him.
Cody turned his attention towards me and then at what I was holding, he looked at it for only a few seconds and then nodded his head. He got up and walked over to me taking the fabric out of my hands and smell it, he then started to smell around us as well.
I was waiting there anxiously while he was trying to find the sent. However, he managed to find it and started to head that way. I followed in persuit
Please hold on a little bit longer Alton. . .
Nobody's POV
As Alton was being tied up in the carriage he was forced to get into all he could see was pure darkness. He was gagged and the kidnappers made sure he couldn't even move at all as well.
This is just perfect, how am I suppose to get out of this now?
Cody and Lloyd will probably be looking for me as we speak, however, I don't know what these guys intentions are. If their good or bad I don't know. . . And I only a little of hand-to-hand combat so I have no way to help myself right now either. . . Who sent these guys anyway?
"Almost there young lord. . Don't worry." A voice said to him.
Alton moved a bit at the sound of the voice, he didn't recognise it but he also was suspicious of it as they was talking like they wanted to reassure him of what is happening to him. "I'm sorry sir. . . We had no choice but to do this. ." Another voice said.
They had no choice?
The carriage entered a bumpy road and each bump with the way Alton was laying down and with how small the carriage was he kept hitting his head. Making small "ow" noises every once in a while. The guys in the carriage with him tried to help him be more comfortable but it didn't work as well as they wanted.
This was when they finally got to the place they wanted to get too. Alton was released and he looked around.
He was sat in an abandoned building with the furniture all destroyed, the walls and floor boards all cut up. Moss was growing on the walls and some grass with some flowers sprouting up from the floor boards in some parts of the room as well. It was clear this building haven't been in use for a while.
Alton turned his attention towards his captures and noticed they was all men only a few years older then him as well. He raised an eyebrow at them all and just by once glance at them. It was obvious they didn't know what they was doing it what they was suppose to be doing.
"Why are you doing?" Alton asked them.
"It's a job. . . We was paid to kidnap you as you travelled down the the Faye Clan village." One of them answered.
"Is that so. . . What's your intentions then? Just going to hold me here?"
"Uh-" this made the men shuffle in their place, they didn't look like they knew what to do at all.
"You going to make me preform acts?" Alton asked them, eyes not leaving them.
"W-what-?! No! Look, we was just told to keep you from going to the Faye Clan village! That's all!" The guy said to him.
Alton's eyes never left the group of men that was standing before him, he sighed as his eyes shined like gems, and hair glistening like a starry sky with the small light coming from the broken, shattered window. The men looked at him in awe.
"Tell me something. . . Who ordered you to do this?" Alton asked.
However the bandits gave no reply to his words, he knew it wasn't going to be easy to get them to tell him who the one controling their strings was but he thought it was worth a try none the less.
"If you tell me I'll let you go and we can forget this whole thing ever happened."
To be continued!
