It was a beautiful and sunny afternoon in Viridian City, located in the Kanto Region. A beautiful six-year-old girl with short pink hair and green eyes was playing outside of a large mansion near the flower garden. She lived in this mansion with her parents, older brother, and younger brother.

As she was playing closer to the pond in the flower garden with her father's Water-type Pokemon a cry of pain was heard coming from the forest nearby.

"What was that?" Isabella questioned as she turned in the direction of the cry.

She then heard the sound of the cry once again and rushed towards the forest.

'I can't just leave that poor Pokemon to suffer alone.' She thought as she rushed towards the source of the cry.

However, she was unaware of a young nine-year-old boy with short blonde hair and blue eyes noticing her running off from inside the house from the windows.

Isabella walked deeper into the forest as she sound of the cry was getting louder and louder.

She soon came across a small, bipedal balloon-like Pokémon that is completely pink. It has a rounded tuft of hair on top of its head, a small swirl-like pattern on its forehead, and red eyes, and has small, stubby limbs.

"Wow I don't think I seen that Pokemon before," Isabella commented looking at the Pokemon and her eyes widened at its weakened state."Oh no, it's been hurt," She said softly walking closer to the Pokemon lying on the ground.

The Pokemon turned noticing Isabella and glared at her as it attempted to get on up.

"It's okay I just want to help you," Isabella says gently as she kneels smiling at the Pokemon as it begins to calm down seeing the human girl means no harm.

"Igglybuff," The Pokemon cried out.

"Igglybuff your name?" She asked carefully picking up the Pokemon and noticed its face was purple meaning it was poison.

'Oh no it's been poison.' She thought looking around for some Pecha berries.

As she was looking around for Pecha berry a rustling sound was heard from behind, causing her to turn around when she suddenly saw an angry Pokémon come out of the bushes.

It was a serpentine Pokémon that resembled a cobra. It has narrow eyes and several sharp teeth. Just below its head is a large hood with a face-like pattern. The pattern typically has two red and yellow eyespots outlined in black, a wide black streak resembling an upturned mouth, and a black V-shaped stripe above the eyespots.

"Arbok!" The Pokemon cried out as it slithered closer towards Isabella and Arbok.

"Oh no," Isabella said holding the injury Pokemon as she attempted back way from the angry Pokemon.

"Swift" A familiar voice shouted.

Isabella turned to see her older brother Austin run towards her with a Growlithe ran past him using a powerful Swift and knocking the Arbok back away from Isabella and Igglybuff.

"Isa thank goodness your okay," Austin said picking up his little sister.

"Austin," Isabella said in relief that her brother was here.

"Alright let's get you home," Austin said."Growlithe Body slam knock that Arbok out," He said.

"Can we take Igglybuff with us it's poison?" Isabella asked.

"Igglybuff those aren't common here but it's evolution Jigglypuff is," Austin said."Yes, we can take her and mom can heal her."

"You're going to be okay my friend," Isabella said softly as she glanced down at Igglybuff in her arms.

As soon as they made it safely back home Isabella gave Igglybuff to her mother.

"Igglybuff will be okay but she will need plenty of rest," Her mother said."Now go to your room and play and next time no running off alone in the forest."

"Take care Igglybuff I come to see you when your feeling better," Isabella said before she rushed to her room to play little did she know this was the beginning of a brand new friendship with the number one Pokemon partner.

After a few hours of playing with her toys, her mother soon came into her room holding an sleeping Igglybuff.

"Igglybuff is doing much better now but it seems that she wanted to sleep near you," Her mother said. 

"Oh Pixie my friend let's be together forever and become the world's greatest performing team and gym leader, ' Isabella said holding Igglybuff close to her chest smiling at her new Pokemon friend. 

Her mother Claire Dawnwood smiled at Isabella before she left the room seeing her daughter had found herself a new friend in Igglybuff.

Here we have  the beginning of Isabella's story. We see how she met Pixie and the beginning of there friendship after they before nearing got attacked by an Arbok until her older brother Austin came to the rescue. I hope you enjoy this chapter.
