Chapter 3

Kaylee was curled up on the couch in the living room in the Sakamaki mansion after her and her brothers got home from school.

Her brothers were all off doing their own things somewhere in the mansion. She had no idea what each of them was doing, except Shu who was probably asleep somewhere.

Kaylee had her drawing book in her hand as she drew to pass time. When she was bored like this and her brothers were actually leaving her alone, she usually just drew and coloured cute little designs and pictures. She had always liked creating pretty things, even from a young age.

Although she was mainly trying to focus on what she was doing, her mind kept thinking back to the events earlier that day. She still couldn't figure out exactly why Ayato and Laito had acted like that. She knew they were protective, but Kou hadn't done anything to her. He wasn't interested in her at all, right?

Unfortunately for Kaylee, her peaceful time alone was short lived as the triplets felt it was a good time to fight over her.

Kanato was the first to appear. He literally just thought it was a good idea to teleport from wherever he had been to right in front of Kaylee on the couch, scaring the life out of her.

"Kanato?! What the actual fuck?!" Kaylee shrieked, startled.

Kanato chuckled "Sorry if I scared you, Kaylee"

"Scared me? You nearly killed me for crying out loud!" Kaylee said, still trying to get over the shock "What do you even want?"

"I was going to ask if you'd like to have a tea party with me and Teddy!" Kanato said.

Before Kaylee could answer though, Laito decided to appear. No real surprise.

"I think it's my turn with Kay-Chan, Kanato" he said, gently placing his hands on Kaylee's shoulders.

"That's not fair!! I asked her first!!" Kanato yelled, getting annoyed and possibly about to go into full psycho mode any minute now.

"Calm down, Kanato" Ayato said "Besides, it's neither of your turn with her. It's Yours Truly's turn with Kay"

Kaylee sighed, knowing she had to end this before it escalated any further.

"First off, Laito, I'm your sister. Stop getting so close to me!" she said, making a little joke on her brothers pervert like personalality. She hadn't really meant it, but Laito immediately took his hands off her shoulders anyway.  She turned to Ayato next.

"Second, Ayato, stop calling yourself 'Yours Truly'. It's annoying and gets on my nerves!" she said. She turned to Kanato next.

"Lastly, Kanato, please calm down and don't turn all psycho. I'm in no mood to deal with that right now!" she said.

Kaylee then stood up "Also, I don't really feel like spending time with any of you."

"Why not, Kaylee?!" Kanato shouted, despite her telling him to calm down.

"That's a very mean thing to say, Kay-Chan" Laito mused.

"Yours Truly wanted to play around with you, Kay!" Ayato said, not in a sexual way though. Well, at least she hoped it wasn't. That would be so disgusting.

"What did I just say?" Kaylee said, rolling her eyes "Kanato calm down and Ayato stop calling yourself that! I'm just a bit tired guys, I'll hang out with you later, alright?"

The triplets seemed to agree to that. But they seemed to always have to fight over something.

"But, I'll be the first one you spend time with later, right?" Kanato asked.

"No, Kanato! Kay-Chan will hang out with me first!" Laito said.

"Shut up, both of you! Yours Truly will have Kay first!" Ayato said.

Kaylee sighed and began to leave the room, not bothering to even attempt to stop this new argument. They're big boys now, they can figure it out themselves.

"I'll be in my room" she said to them, before leaving and going up the stairs to her room.

She lay down on her huge bed that had light blue bed covers and a silk white curtain around it. She was glad to just be able to relax now and not listen to her brothers constantly arguing over every little thing. Though she could still hear their muffled voices from downstairs.

Kaylee got up off her bed and walked into her big walk-in closest. She got changed into her light pink nightdress and went to her personal bathroom to brush her teeth and brush out her hair.

When she was finished getting ready to sleep, she crawled under her bed covers. Although her body was always freezing cold to the touch, she felt warm and comfortable under her bed covers.

She tried sleeping, but her thoughts kept drifting back to earlier that night. She couldn't figure out why Ayato and Laito would think that Kou would hurt her.

The truth was, she's had a huge crush on Kou for a long time now. Even though her brothers hated the Mukami's and told her to stay away from them, she couldn't help hopelessly falling for him.

She remembered the first time she had ever saw him at school. She had thought he seemed so cute and soon was almost ecstatic to find out he was in two of her classes.

Kaylee wasn't like Kou's fangirls. She wasn't only in love with him because he was an idol with good looks like they did. She liked him and thought of him as a person. Someone she'd love to get to know. But, she knew it would never happen. Kou would never notice her or be interested in her. No one would.

Throughout Kaylee's entire childhood, she had been led to believe by her mother that wasn't attractive enough to ever be loved and desired by any man. No matter how many times her brothers told her that it wasn't true, Kaylee would never stop believing her mother's words.

Kaylee sat up in bed and sighed. She still couldn't figure out why her brothers were like that earlier and she wanted to know. She didn't want to ask though.

A thought came into her mind that maybe Kou had been looking at her during the class and her two brothers had seen him. He had been sitting right next to her, after all.

No, that was just ridiculous. There was absolutely no way that Kou Mukami was slightly interested in someone like her.

Even though she knew it was never going to happen, Kaylee couldn't seem to stop thinking about Kou and fantasizing what it would be like if he actually noticed her. It made her feel much worse knowing she was hopelessly in love with a boy who will never love her back and that her daydreams would only ever be daydreams.

"If only you would notice me and see how I feel about you, Kou" Kaylee whispered, looking to the side to see out her window.
