Chapter 11
When Kaylee got up that day, she didn't know that things were going to change in the house very soon.
Actually, none of the Sakamaki's, except for Shu, knew that they were going to be getting a new guest later that day.
Kaylee got up and got dressed in her usual casual outfit and left her room to go downstairs, only to be grabbed by Kanato.
"Kanato! What the hell are you doing?!" Kaylee shrieked, as Kanato pulled her into his room.
"Teddy and I want to spend the day with you, Kaylee" Kanato said, looking back at her and smiling "We didn't get to yesterday"
Kanato pulled Kaylee into his bedroom and shut the door.
"You could've at least let me go downstairs and get something to eat first" Kaylee said, rubbing her wrist. Kanato had been holding her pretty tightly.
"Nope! If I let you do that, someone else would just take from me!" Kanato said, grabbing Kaylee's arm "I want to be the only one who gets you today, Kaylee!"
"But I'm hungry, Kanato!" Kaylee whined, trying to get out of his grip but failing to miserably.
"Stop with the whining" Kanato said "I have cake for you!"
"I guess that'll have to do" Kaylee muttered, letting Kanato pull her over to the small table in his room.
Kanato sat down beside Kaylee on the small couch, his teddy sitting in his lap.
"I made sure to get some strawberry shortcake just for you, Kaylee!" Kanato said, knowing that strawberry shortcake was Kaylee's most favourite thing in the world to eat.
Kaylee squealed in delight and threw her arms around Kanato "I love you so much, Kanato!"
Kanato giggled at her reaction "I love you too. Now, hurry up and eat!"
The next few hours was pretty much Kaylee playing around with Kanato and his teddy. Things were pretty normal enough, or as normal as they got with Kanato, until he pulled Kaylee onto his bed.
"Kanato, what the-" Kaylee began, but was cut off when Kanato put his finger to her lips.
"Shh, Kaylee" he said "Just get under the covers please"
Kaylee now had a really bad feeling about this. She knew how disturbed Kanato was, but would he really go as far as wanting to sleep with his sister? She hoped that he had nothing like disgusting like that in mind, as she did as he had told her and crawled in under the covers.
Kanato got into his bed beside Kaylee, placing his teddy on the other side of him. He gently wrapped his arms around Kaylee and cuddled up beside her.
"Kanato?" Kaylee said, confused as to what he was doing.
"Shh, Kaylee" Kanato said again, his voice lowering "Just stay beside me, alright?"
"What if I want to leave though?" Kaylee asked, her voice lowering too.
"Then I won't be able to sleep" Kanato replied "Just stay with me for a while so I can sleep for a bit please, Kaylee"
Kaylee smiled. It was clear that Kanato didn't want to be left on his own.
"Alright, Kanato, I'll stay" she promised.
"Thanks, Kaylee" Kanato said, quietly as he fell asleep.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kaylee had fallen asleep next to Kanato, not too long after he did. When she woke up, Kanato was still asleep. She saw that the sun was only setting now, so she hadn't been asleep that long.
Kaylee lay there for a little while longer. Kanato's arms were still wrapped tightly around her and she didn't want to move in case she woke him up.
The sun had lowered and night was falling now. Kaylee soon could hear the sound of muffled voices from downstairs.
While she couldn't make out what they were saying, she could make out Ayato's and Reiji's voices. And a new voice that she hadn't heard before.
Kanato began to wake up then "Hi, Kaylee"
Kaylee turned to look at him "Kanato, do you have any idea what might be going on downstairs?"
Kanato sat up and shrugged "I don't know. Maybe we should go down and see"
After saying that, Kanato teleported downstairs, leaving Kaylee alone in his room. Sighing, Kaylee also teleported down to the living room, where all her brothers now were.
In the living room also, was a girl that Kaylee had never seen before.
Kaylee began to get worried by this. She didn't want another girl living in the house. Everytime they got a guest living with them in the house, her brothers would always pay more attention to them rather than to her.
Kaylee had to get rid of this girl.
She was only snapped back to attention when Reiji said her name, introducing her to the girl.
"And that is the youngest and only girl, Kaylee" he said.
Kaylee gave the terrified looking girl a fake kind smile. She'd make her think that she was being kind to her for the time being, but soon enough this girl would have to go.
Kaylee wasn't paying much attention to what was going on again, until the girl tried to run from the room and ended up falling on the ground, cutting her knee.
Immediately everyone in the room turned to look at her, smelling the blood. Kaylee smiled, knowing that her brothers were all trying to hold themselves back.
"You're all...v-vampires?" the girl said. She then held up the cross around her neck to them.
Kaylee sighed, she really was ridiculously stupid if she believed that vampires were affected by that.
"Honestly, did you really believe that fairy-tale written by mortals that vampires are affected by garlic, holy crosses and sunlight?" Reiji said, sounding very displeased with the girl.
The girl then got up and ran right out of the room.
"Her manners are truly apalling" Reiji said when the girl left.
Kaylee smiled to herself and teleported out of the room to find the girl.
It wasn't long before Kaylee found her running through the halls. Her scent gave her away. She stopped the girl in her path. The girl gasped, looking at her terrified.
"Hello there" Kaylee said, trying to sound as nice as possible "What might your name be then?"
"I-I'm Yui Komori" the girl, Yui, replied "Please don't hurt me!"
"It's alright. I won't try bite you like my brothers" Kaylee said, trying to sound kind and believable "I wouldn't try leaving if I were you. Follow me and I'll show you to your room"
Yui nodded and followed Kaylee as she led her to her room.
Kaylee smiled to herself once again, hoping that Yui wouldn't notice.
Yui Komori was going to have to go very soon. No one took Kaylee's brothers away from her. Kaylee was their sister and therefore the only girl they could love and care for.
