EVERY CHILD IS BORN TO A SET OF PARENTS.

To Carrie Melissa Emerson-Strange, her parents were Rachel Emerson and Stephen Strange. Growing up, she could always recall how much they loved each other, how they laughed at everything, the smiles they had whenever the other talked. To Carrie, they were the perfect example of happy married couple. But what the young naive six-year old girl didn't know at the time was that all good things must come to an end.

Her father would immerse himself into his work. He would spend days at the hospital and would only come home to shut himself in his room without saying a word to any of his family. Rachel would beg him to come out, to be a father to both Carrie and their other child, Wesley. But, she would get the same answer every single time: No. Because he had more important things to do, lives to save.

At one point, Rachel had enough. She delivered divorce papers to her husband on one of the rare occasions he was home. To say he was shocked was an understatement, but, he nevertheless signed the papers. That was the easy part. Deciding who got the children was the hard part. Ten year old Wesley, who grew a large grudge towards his absent father, already knew he wanted his mother to take him. But to seven year old Carrie, she wanted her father. She wanted nothing more than to make her father proud, to see him smile and play with her. So it was decided that Carrie would stay with Stephen, as much as Rachel hated that the judge so blindly entrusted her only daughter to a work-aholic, and Wesley went with Rachel.

Years passed as Carrie grew from a bright, young seven year old girl to a mature, brilliant fifteen year old. And as she grew, her blindness of how terrible her father actually was eventually wore off. She spent all of her free time trying to get a glimpse from her father, a sentence, to tell her how proud he was of her daughter. One of the rare moments that Stephen talked about his daughter to others was when he said how he was so proud that she was going into the medical field. Sure, Carrie talked about it once in front of him, but she didn't know that he was actually paying attention. From that moment on, Carrie Strange decided that she was going to go into the medical field just for him. She began to become obsessed with making straight A's just so that her father could be proud of her.

So here was a fifteen year old Carrie Emerson-Strange in Queens, Brooklyn. She was attending Midtown High School, making straight A's, attending all the clubs she can get into, all just to make her Father proud.

graphics ➤ graphics belong to myself, bayports  and any others that will be mentioned. you will not steel any graphics or I will report to the person who made the amazing graphics and i will ban you faster than you can say jerk. you may not steal the layout of this book unless you ask. if you ask, there will be a 90% chance that you can use it. i will check your works to see if you can use it. i've seen far to many people buy graphics for a book only to publish a couple chapters and make a new book (one person made up go 200 books because of this). i personally feel this is a waste of talent for both the graphic designer and myself.
