"Ancy, wala na akong utang sa iyo, okay?" I say to him. I secretly brought my car to the school. Well, I got to fulfill my word.
"Yeah, thanks." Chance replies while grinning like a wolf.
Sa kanya na kasi iyong Lamborghini Huracan ko.
"Sige na, naghihintay na si Kuya doon." I state and turn around. "Bye. Ingat ka." Waving a hand as a goodbye, I leave him.
When I reached the place where Kuya Mike's car is parked, I quickly climb inside.
"Tara na, Kuya."
"Okay." Kuya Mike replies and starts driving.
Not very long, we reach the manor. Mom and Dad are not home yet, they are still in the company and seven o'clock pa ang uwi nila.
I go directly to my room to change clothes. After than, I grab my book to read.
"As for me, I am concerned with the matter of consequences."
The Little Prince quoted. I love this book. My Mom recommended it to me when I was in middle school. At first, I couldn't understand the whole story. But when as time goes by and I became older, I finally understand it. And then I fell in love with the Little Prince. Even though how many times that I read it, I still want to re-read it again and again.
And the Little Prince is right. I shall think more of the consequences. There's no idle for dreaming in my life.
Then, I hear knocks on my door, "Miracle, can I come in?" It is Mom's voice.
"Oh. Mom, sure." The door cracks open and I grin to her.
It is already seven in the evening.
"How are you?" She asks.
"I'm nothing but good, Mommy."
She sits beside me, "What's bothering you, child?"
"Po?" I ask cluelessly. Why she is inquiring me so randomly?
"Something bothering you, or should I say someone?"
"Eh . . ." I only utter as she gives me a warm smile, "I don't know."
"I heard from your Nathan that he ordered Chance to guard you." she prompts.
"Well, yes." I sigh while sinking my shoulders. "I can guard myself, though."
"You can't tell, Miracle."
"But Chance has nothing to do with this." I object in a calm manner. "He is not going to in be involved with this matter."
"Then what are you going to do?" she questions.
"I guess, I'll pretend that he is nothing to me." I tell her without a second thought. I have been thinking about this. And ignoring him is the only thing I can think. I also think that it is the best solution.
"Okay, then." she says softly while grinning. "Come on now, dinner time."
Later then, we decided to go outside to have our dinner. We make my way to the dining area, and good thing, everyone's already in the dining hall. We all thank the food and then we start eating.
While eating, Dad asks about my studies and tell him that it's fine; no failing grades at all.
"And by the way," my father states. "Miracle, go to my office later. We'll talk about something important." My Dad says as he picks his glass of water.
"Sure thing, father." I respond and give him a grin.
After dinner, I head upstairs to fix myself. But before I go to sleep, I procede to my father's study room.
I knock on the door first. And he answers quickly, saying: "Come in."
So, I enter the room. As usual, he's still working. Expect this to a family ruling a Mafia and an empire in business world.
"Dad." I greet, bowing.
"Have a seat, princess." He orders and I do what I have been told.
"I don't want to make it long." he states, pushing his eyeglasses. "Ibabalik na kita sa misyon, Miracle. I tell you the truth, things are getting worse so far. And I want you to help your brother on this."
The direction of the wind have changed, as well as the direction of my life.
"I'll do my best." I say with an assurance to my voice.
Dad have this small grin on his face. "Just always be safe. And I'm sorry, Miracle, because your life became like this."
I let out a chuckle to my throat, "Please don't say that, father. I'm fine with this life."
"I'm sure that you hate this kind of life, I am a selfish man." he sighs. "And always remember what I'm telling you, Miracle, with your brothers . . ."
"Yes, Dad." I cut him, "That this is your sin, for making us exist in this world, because of your own selfishness. We're having our freedom through killing people. And always keep to our mind that our own lives is a sin." I say. Dad is always telling us that; it is his fault that we live just to carry the curse of being a killer.
"Glad you remember." my Dad tells me. "And you are always opposing to that, though."
"Uh-huh. It's because you're wrong, Dad."
"I knew you would say that." Dad comments.
"That's right, father. I'm somehow grateful that I live, because I still want to see how beautiful is the world." I smile, and then I simply leave the room.

"I'm back with my mission." I announce to Dennis and Clint.
"Oh. Does Nathan know?" Dennis asks.
"Unfortunately, not. I hope you wouldn't tell him." I say, staring at the leaves of the tree.
We are now in the woods of this school. I'm currently on the tree, sitting pretty. It is our P.E. time, but we cut class. As always, yeah.
"Anyway, may kilala ba kayong pwedeng maging transmitter?" I question them.
"Is Ivan not allowed?" Clint returns.
"No, he's with Nathan." I reply, "How about the transmitter of the Trinity Seven?"
"Too bad, Natnat. He's in a mission also." Dennis answers with his lips curve downwards.
"Tsk." I click my tongue silently. I'm thinking that who'll going to be our transmitter. A mission without a transmitter is like a suicide, especially in a huge mission.
Then, someone appears on my mind. Hmm . . . I hope he can help. "I know someone." I say, looking at the two boys.
"Who?" and they ask.
I jump down from the tree like a graceful cat. "Come on." then invite them with a confident smile.
The two has no choice but to follow me.
I check the time, it's 11:45 AM. Oh, exactly, the class should be over at this time.
We head at the cafeteria, and I sight Chance with his gang.
With a stoic look to my face, I dare to walk towards their table. I saw him with Casey. I sense those pair of cold gray orbs staring at me. And I ignore them.
"Hi, Miss Cute! And hey also to your friends! Let's eat together, yeah?" Sean invites, preparing vacant seats for us.
I shake my head, "I appreciate the invitation, Mister Scott, but I politely decline your offer." I say in formal and cold tone. It's like acting differently to them.
"Eh, how sad, Miss Cute." Sean's face turns to glum. "Then, why you are here?"
"Well, I need to talk to . . ." I look at Sean, then I glance at Chance, "I need to talk with Justine." I speak as I gaze to Justine.
"Huh?" Justine is quite shock as he stops eating. "Me, elite girl?" He questions, confusingly looking at me.
"Yeah. You, Justine." I say and turn around, but I'm still eyeing him. "Come, follow me."
I start walking, and I feel Justine's presence following me together with Clint and Dennis.
Now, now. Ano kaya ang magandang lugar para makapag-usap kami nang maayos?
Ah, maganda siguro sa rooftop. All right, that's a nice spot. But students are not allowed at that place. But then again, it is fine for us. We're rule breakers.
And then we head to the rooftop. As usual, the door is locked. But I just busted the door.
"Oh. Really a badass." Justine comments with a smirk.
"Thanks," I reply, returning the smirk. As we go inside, we sit on the concrete ground. The weather is nice—cloudy and windy. "Okay, my intension why I called you here, Justine, is because I need your help." I say straightly as I face him with a slight crook on my mouth.
"What kind of help, Miss Natsumi?"
"Help us by being a transmitter for our mission."
"Mission?" He mimicks, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Yes. Embrace yourself, Justine, and I have a long tale to tell you." I declame in lazy voice while sighing helplessly.
Explaining a lot of things is exhausting.
After I tell him everything, he seems understand it all.
"I see. That sounds fun." he replies while laughing silently, "I'm in, then."
"I welcome you to the group," then I turn my expression with a threatening look. "Let not a single soul discovers."
"Noted." he chuckles. It is the same thing I told him before.
I place a hand to Justine's shoulder. "You have my full trust. I hope we can work together as a team."
"Aye is that, yo." He smirks while saluting his two fingers.
"Don't worry, Justine, I'm going to pay you big time." I wink, patting his shoulder.
"You don't have to." He just humbly smiles.
"I insist." I tell him, "Working as a transmitter is sure a big help to us, because you'll be our eyes when we can't see the things that lies upon behind a closed door."
"If you truly insist, so." Justine just shrugs his shoulders, "At, binabayaran mo rin sila?"
"Oh, sina Den and Clint?" Justine nods, "Well, who knows. Nathan hired them."
"Nathan?" He repeats clearly.
"Oo nga pala. Hindi mo pa alam." I chuckle, placing my elbow on his shoulder, "Nathan is my twin brother, Justine. And I'm also a Twain, but I'm keeping my identity as a secret."
His jaw drops, "The hell. For real?" He says incredulously.
"Your face, Justine, so priceless." I laugh to his reaction, and he immediately composes himself.
"I never noticed that." Justine says with creased brows. "Kaya pala sobrang close kayo at lagi niyang itinataboy si Sean kapag hinahawakan ka niya."
I give Justine a sideward grin, "Yeah. Nathan's a overprotective brother."
Glancing to my wrist watch, I realized that we are talking so long and I haven't noticed the time.
"Malapit na tayong ma-late." Pagkasabi ko, tumayo na kami.
"Aww. Physics pala natin nito." Reklamo ni Den. "I hate Physics."
"Nag-review ka na, Dennis?" Tanong ni Clint sa kanya.
"Bakit ako magre-review?"
"Ah, don't tell me that you don't know."
"Do not know, what?" Den rebutts in grumpy tone.
"That we're having a long quiz today." Clint only mutters hopelessly. It's obvious that Dennis was not listening yesterday inside the Physics class.
"AHHH! DAMMIT! I REALLY DO NOT KNOW!!"
And then, Dennis starts to holler—perstering Clint to copy his answers later.
"Quite lively in your group, huh?" I hear Justine says.
"Yeah. Thanks to Dennis."
"Kaya ba lagi kang absent, dahil sa misyon mo?" Justine suddenly inquires.
"Well, yeah. Gan'on talaga." I reply boringly, "By the way, I need my first lead tomorrow afternoon."
And then I get the red note that the Black Society sent to me.
My first target is the archer.
"This fast, Your Majesty?" he complains while smirking, taking the red note.
Nang nakapasok na kami ng room, napansin ko na maraming mga mata ang nakatingin sa akin. Now, what have I done? At halos babae ang mga nakatingin.
"Oh, my. Isa ngang dakilang nerd pero dakilang flirt din pala."
"Pff." I scoff mockingly.
"Looks like they're talking to you." Justine mumbles to me.
"Like I give a damn." I just shrug off, sighing.
"And, oh. Aakalain mo 'yun? Napaka-amo ng mukha pero nasa loob din pala ang kulo."
I can't help but to smirk. "Oh, really? Jealous, bitches?"
Of course, I do not directly tell them. I say it silently, enough for Den, Clint, and Justine to hear it.
Dahil ba kay Justine? Clint and Dennis? And modesty aside, I'm really surrounded with hot guys.
I ignore all the gossips. Telling stories that aren't true, maybe, my image here is now ruined by some people who has idiotic brains.
The class starts, the same with our quiz. Physics, huh? I can't say that I dislike this subject, I simply just hate it. But then again, I have to pass it, that's why I studied last night.
Many hours passed and it is our dismissal time. Yeah. It's time to get out of the hell.
At pauwi na lamang, patuloy pa rin silang nagpaparinig. I sigh. When will people ever stop? Maybe, when I already ended their lives. Whatever.
Their words won't easily bring me down, anyway.
As I enter the car Kuya Mike's car, "How's your day, baby?" he asks.
"Still the same, Kuya." I respond in flat tone as I give him a weak grin. He doesn't answer but he smiles, giving me a comfort look. I think, he understands.
Mom and Dad returns to Japan just this morning. Even Nate isn't around, but I still have my Kuya Mike. Just for this time, I can say that life is fair . . . sometimes.
It is evening, 23:30, and I can't sleep. Insomnia is attacking me. I have been in my room for three hours, but I can't find my lost sleep. I'm only staring to nothing. Having no thoughts at all.
The whispers are not here in my head. It is very silent. It is so silent that I can even hear even the ticking of my wrist watch placed on the side table. There is also a loud ring that I can clearly hear.
I only sigh. When did silence become so noisy?
I decide to go to the kitchen to have a glass of milk. After I drunk the milk, I have to go back to my room.
Pabalik na ako nang madaanan ko ang kwarto ni Kuya Mike. He is still not asleep. I knock on his door as I open it, "Kuya." I call, peeking to him. He is still doing paperworks.
"Oh. Why are you not sleeping yet, my little sister?" he questions.
"Insomnia." I simply say, "Can I sleep with you?"
"Sure. Come here, my sweet cheeks." He agrees with a soft grin, standing from his seat.
I giggle silently. Kuya Mike is always calling me with different endearments and always treating me like a little girl.
"Am I not bothering you? I think you still have business, eh."
"No, love, you're my real business." He replies and I give him a shy grin.
I walk towards him, and he charges me with a brotherly hug, "I know there's disturbing you, but I want you to open up to me."
"I know you do, Kuya." I reply. It's obvious to me, that something is disturbing me.
"So what is wrong?"
"Nothing really new." I tell him with pursed lips. "It's just the same old problem."
I'm referring with the whispers I hear. Kuya Mike knows about that issue. Kuya Mike can calm me either with brute force or gentle talks. Even in rare time, in rare occasion, when I'm out of my mind, I'm also attacking him.
This is the part that I hate the most. I do not know who really resides in me. Who I really am.
"They aren't going away?" I only shake my head. "How about your meds?"
"They aren't helping anymore." I sigh and close my eyes. I tighten my embrace onto him. I want to feel him so close to me.
Talking to Kuya Mike is really comforting. The perks of having older brothers; they are always there to support you. And I'm really happy to be treated like a real princess with my Kuya Mike and Kuya Nate. Aha. Nate is older than me, though. It's necessary to call him 'Kuya', but I'm not used to it. So, that won't do.
"I feel like sleeping now, Kuya." I say to him.
"Okay, let's sleep together, then."
"Sure." I respond and remove my embrace.
I lie on his bed and close my eyes. I yawn, I'm not going to school tomorrow. I don't feel like going to.
After a minute, I sense Kuya Mike lying beside me, hugging me from behind.
I sigh on my mind. Tomorrow, I'll hunt for my first lead. And I hope everything will be successful.
