Once our lunch is over, I decided not to attend class this afternoon. It's actually boring, especially this time.
On my way to the woods, there's a loud commotion somewhere. Girls' voices, specifically.
Either way, as the heir of this school, I need to stop them. Even though, it is a pain in the neck.
"You! How dare you to turn your back at me?!"
From where I'm standing, I familiarize already the woman who's bitching around. I witnessed Monique grabs a student's hand and gives her a face-breaking slap.
Hell, I'm sure that hurts.
From my point of view, I'm not quite sure who's the girl that Monique hit, yet that incident is bothersome. It concerns some of my nerves.
I make my haste, and little by little, I can visualize the side view of the student.
"You don't know whom you are bumping with, stupid!" Monique says angrily and prepares her hand again.
And at last, I recognize the girl. It is the newbie, the transferee named Natsumi Montero. She's my blockmate. And Sean talks a lot about her.
"Mind to join your business?" I interfere with an ice voice.
Monique's company stands frozen. Natsumi's furious face replaces into an astonishing, cold stare.
"C-Chance." Monique stutters and moves away from Natsumi.
I remove my eyes to her and sigh. "I saw everything." I say normally and put a hand inside of my pocket. "And Miss Taylor, together with your company, in the Detention Office." I command and walk closer where Natsumi's direction.
"B-But!—" She whines, but I cut her that instant.
"Now." I finalize and they have no choice but to leave, the same time as I reach Natsumi.
"And, you." I call, pertaining her. I stand in front of her. She just stares at me, while I'm looking down on her. I'm taller than this lady, but she's not that short. Just a normal height.
"Miss Montero, isn't it?" I ask her.
She slightly bows her head, staring sideways. "Mm." and hums as her yes.
"You know what?" I tell her slightly irritated and she eyes me confusingly. "You're a such a trouble."
She never says a thing, but her wild dark brown eyes are telling me everything.
I ignore her predatory gazes and just grab her wrist. "Come on."
"H-Hey! Stop!" She complains as I drag her, going to somewhere. "I said stop!" This time, she uses a force to halt on my pace. "What are you doing? And where are you taking me?"
Another sigh drawn out from me. "Right. We're still strangers."
And then, without further words, I left her. As I continue my haste, not that very long, I reach my secret place in the middle of the mini-forest, located somewhere of this university.
This place surrounds with trees, grasses, and flowers. It also have a man-made pond. I sit on the ground and rest my back on the tree. Then I automatically look above. The pure white clouds paints the blue sky alone. The fresh air is sending its coldness as the sun shares its delicate warmness.
While my eyes are closed, I hear a silent crack of a twig and immediately shift my head at the place where the sounds came from. It is just an instinct of me to catch the stranger who tries to ruin the peaceful ambiance.
As I clutch the ankle of a certain person, I open my eyes.
I'm just struck by awe, when it is the lady a while ago is the one who is here again. She have this escape position, trying to run from scene.
I narrow my eyes, questioning her why is she here?
She only sighs, "I never knew." and answers with surrender.
I keep the silent and let go of my grasp on her ankle.
How odd. I never felt a presence drawing nearby, and even a slight aura of her, nothing. She is Natsumi, the transferee.
She is about to leave when I spoke, "I don't mind . . . if you'll stay here."
I nod my head up to gaze at her. Her eyes lock onto me as well, studying my sudden invitation to stay here.
She heaves a low sigh and removes her stares on me. "You want something, don't you?"
"I don't remember saying that to you." I ask her without looking. My eyes are now fixed above.
At the corner of my eye, I notice that she settles down on the ground beside me. "Don't play dumb. You don't mind me staying, because you wanted something."
"Okay," I reply back, "More like I want to know something."
Natsumi only crosses her arms and lays her legs loosely on the grass ground. "So, what do you want to know?"
"The real you."
The lady with her wild dark-browned eyes says nothing, but look at me with cold, bored eyes. "Sure," she says shortly, "however, I will ask you a one question. Answer me, and I will tell you who I am. Do you think I'm a liar?"
What kind of question is that?
"No." I state my response.
"Then what if, I tell you that I am?"
I scoff as I shift my head sideways to show her my lips curled into a smirk. "I won't answer that."
"I see." Natsumi scoffs back, "Why not?"
"For you to remember, you said that you will ask me a one question. Not two."
Now she looks at me with a grim expression. "Fine. It was just a rhetorical question, though."
"Rhetorical or not, it is still a question." I tell her casually. "Then, time to answer mine. What is the real you?"
The grim expression of Natsumi is now already gone, instead, a mocking smirk is painted on her face. She have this sideward, triumphant smile, as she answers, "The Liar."

I abruptly shut my eyes. I win the conversation as Chance gives up a sigh and declares, "Clever."
I only mind my business, wanting to find for a rest. A lot of things happened this noon. That bitch Monique. I'll return what she have caused me. She might better wait for it.
I didn't know how I ended here. I was just looking for a perfect spot to sleep and never knew that there is a kind of place such as this.
And unknowingly, Chance is here as well. Yes, I hid my presence and aura for a purpose, if if isn't with the twig, he would not catch me in this place. I thought I could hide in an instant, but his reflexes was too fast and caught me before I could escape.
I scoff inwardly. I should be also the one who is asking the real you, Chance.
And how weird that he asked, "What is the real you?", instead of, "Who?"
He knows something. And it is unavoidable. I can tell, he is also hiding something.
After a couple minutes, little I did I know, I let my guard down and fall a sleep.
It is not my will, but I half-opened my eyes when I sense my stomach growling and a heavy something on my head.
Gritting my teeth in annoyance, I just saw the face of Chance near my face.
I also notice that my head is placed on his right shoulder.
The hell is this?
"Jerk." I mutter to myself.
"I heard you, woman." It surprises me a bit when he talked.
"Good," I say, but his head is still on me. "because I have always wanted to tell you that."
"Tch." he only utters and carries his head. "It is not my fault, I tell you."
"Ah, yes." I reply sardonically, "If it wasn't your fault, then it is mine."
"Apparently, true."
"Ugh, shut up." I only shot back. "Sorry for troubling you, then."
Without words, he stands up and offers his hand to me. He stares down, looking directly to my eyes. Those gazes, I always want to see those gazes. Even though they are cold.
"Come on, stand up." He says in a gentle tone, but as usual, his eyes are coated with ice.
Wala sa sarili ko, kinuha ko ang kamay niya na nakalahad sa akin. And as if, I felt a small current flows to my system. Err . . . What is that?
Chance guided me to stand. And wordlessly, we part ways.
I look to my wrist watch, the hands of the clock tells that it is half-hour two o'clock.
Wow. I really cut class. Oh, well. I'm just going to sneak out of this university by jumping over the fence walls.
