Chapter 15

Third Person POV

For some reason, Tin did not call Can to say good night as Can expected. Maybe Tin had forgotten or whatever. Can tried not to let it bother him.

He went to sleep, looking forward to the soccer practice the next day.

He and his teammates were determined to win over the Engineering department this time. They had lost to the Engineering department during the last game so he and his teammates were hungry for a win.

After school, Can and Good made their way to their locker room and changed into their shorts and jerseys.

"P'Wan is coming to pick me up after practice," said Good, "do you want us to give you a ride home?"

"That would be nice," said Can.

"That's settled then," said Good, and walked with Can towards the playing field.

Can's team practiced long and hard and their coaches were very happy about the improvement in their game. They were confident that they would win in the upcoming game.

After they washed off their sweat and grime from their bodies in the shower stalls, Can and Good put on a fresh change of clothes and started walking towards the parking lot where they were expecting P'Wan to pick them up.

As they were walking, Good received a text from P'Wan.

"I'm stuck in traffic and will be delayed. Just wait for me."

"Okay" - from Good

"Did you offer Can a ride?"

"I did" - from Good

"Did he accept?"

"Yes" - from Good

"I have to go, traffic is moving now."

"P'Wan said to wait a bit because she's stuck in traffic," Good said to Can.

"That's fine,"said Can, "my parents are not yet expecting me to be home at this time."

"By the way, are you planning to go to P'Wan's university fair this coming weekend?" asked Good.

"How far is her university from here?" asked Can.

"Not too far, just the next city," replied Good. "If you're worried about transportation, I will be riding with P'Wan, so you can come with us."

"How much does an entrance ticket cost?" asked Can.

"Don't worry about the tickets," said Good, "P'Wan said she was going to buy the tickets for us as soon as you confirm that you're coming along."

"Oh, that's nice of her," said Can, "I will take care of our snacks then,"

"Then I will take care of the drinks," said Good.

"Are they going to be selling alcoholic beverages?" asked Can, wide eyed.

"I don't know," said Good, "but I don't think P'Wan will want us drink alcoholic beverages."

"I wasn't planning to," said Can with a laugh.

They heard a short soft honk.

"P'Wan is here," Good announced, grabbing Can by the wrist.

They both ran towards her car.

Good opened the rear door and climbed inside, leaving Can to seat in the front with P'Wan.

"Hi, P'Wan, thank you for giving me a ride home," said Can.

"It's no biggie," said P'Wan, "your house is along the way to our apartment so you're not making me go out of my way."

P'Wan noticed Can struggling with the seat belt.

"Here, let me help you," said P'Wan, leaning forward and fastening the seat belt for Can.

"The seat belts in this car get tricky sometimes, I'm sorry," she explained.

"No problem, and thank you," said Can.

Can could not understand why his face was getting a little flushed. Was it his sudden awareness of the fragrant scent of P'Wan's thick flowing hair that almost touched his cheeks as she leaned to adjust his seat belt?

He shook his head. His best friend Good was sure to break off their friendship if ever he found himself getting attracted to his P'Wan.

Good might appear to be a very gentle soft spoken fellow but his very athletic muscled arms could knock you out cold if he wanted to.
