Part Two: Shock
Rita
When I heard my daughter say that she found my son, I was shocked. My baby had been gone for years ever since my ex husband sent him away to a summer camp. Who knew how much our lives have been affected by that one decision? Our marriage deteriorated and I knew how the girls constantly checked the calendar to see how many days that Lincoln had left. When it was finally time to get him, we learned a terrible truth:
The summer camp never existed.
It was a scam and instead of checking to see whether or not the camp was real...my ex husband just sent my son on his way. This fact was the reason why I divorced my ex husband and the starting point of my daughter's hatred of him. In fact, my daughters even cut themselves off from him due to his stupidity. I was cut off from those thoughts when my husband held my hand.
"Are you alright Rita?" Lugar asked. I nodded and pecked his cheek while feeling my ex gaze at me. He must still have feelings for me which would've been sweet if he put effort into getting me back. Like he should've put more effort into learning the entire truth instead of just punishing my baby boy. Sighing...I looked at my daughter who cleared her throat loudly to get our attention back.
"Like I was saying, I found Lincoln." Lisa said.
"Really? Where is he?" Lori asked.
"Surprisingly, he's in Japan. How he got there baffles and amuses me, but we can get answers when we locate our missing brother." Lisa said.
"Does this mean that I'll finally meet Lincoln again!" Lily said excitedly. My poor baby had been wondering where her brother was for years. Which didn't surprise me given how close they were before he was shipped off into the world. But I don't have time to think about the past...
I needed to think about getting everything settled and heading over to Japan. My baby has been away from us for far too long and I can't wait to see him again.
Just wait Lincoln because our family will soon be complete again.
??????????
I was going over my paper work when I sneezed. Which meant that someone had to be talking about me. Something that happened a lot since I managed to marry five beautiful women and had several children running through out my household. Speaking of which..
One of my wives walked in and handed me some green tea.
"Are you alright?" She asked.
"Yes. I just feel like someone is talking about me." I answered which made her chuckle.
"Maybe it's your family talking about you again. I just hope that one day, we'll finally meet our sister, father, brother and mother in laws." She said.
"That would be great. But we both know how dangerous it is. Especially since they're still human." I said. She smiled sadly before hugging me. A gesture that I liked since I wouldn't have contact with my family....
Only it seems like over the years I forgotten how smart my sister was and how persistent my family truly is.
Hopefully I will be able to protect my family and rebuild what has been broken. Because I would rather die than see them get hurt.
Hope you enjoyed the chapter...Bye 👋
