3 DAYS LATER

Over the past three days, Nora has informed everyone about everything she knew about Pursuit. They've been practicing and executing new ways to take down Pursuit. So far it has been very quiet and the satellite hasn't picked up any signs of this new speedster. Right now Nora is at home on Iris's bed helping her pick out a new outfit for her meeting with the mayor. She has been assigned to write a report about the upcoming election Mayor Anthony Bellows is running for (actual Mayor in The Flash).

"How about this?" asked Iris wearing a blue dress that went below the knee.

"Perfect" replied Nora smiling at the beautiful dress. Now she knows that she definitely got her fashion taste more from Iris then Barry.

"Great!" replied Iris "Now I just need a jacket to go with it.....OH, how about this one?" asked Iris holding up a black leather jacket.

Quickly Nora smiled faded as she stared intently at the black leather jacket...................................

*FLASHBACK September 17, 2040,* (Iris died 2040 not 2033 my bad)

It was a cold fall evening in Central City, and Nora (37-year-old in a 20-year-old body) was by her friend Vanessa's house having a drink. Everything was going great in her life; she has an amazing boyfriend who loves her very much, an awesome teenage brother, two adorable twin sibling, a caring mother, a heroic father, and selfless stepmother. Everything was perfect in her life and nothing could ruin her happy mood.

She was laughing and having a blast with Vanessa talking about the latest fashion and about boy's when her phone went off. She quickly fished it out of her pocket and answered it without looking at the caller id.

"Hello," said a very cheerful Nora.

"Is this Nora West Allen?" asked the man on the phone

"Yes it is, who is this?" she asked not recognizing the voice.

"My name is Officer John North and I am sorry to report to you that your mother has been shot and killed." the person said on the other line.

"What?" Nora asked on the verge of tears.

"She was pronounced dead at the scene. The bullet pierced her heart killing her instantly. I am very sorry for your lost" said the officer sincerely.

Nora hold world just stopped. She felt empty and alone. The one person who meant everything to her was dead. How was she supposed to live without her?

"Wh-Where is s-s-she?" asked Nora shakingly.

"We have her body here at an abandoned warehouse on Welch street, if you would like we could-" but the officer didn't get to finish his sentence as Nora flashed over to the scene.

She rushed past officer's pushing her way past them as she moved towards the center of the room. Her heart was beating so fast she felt like it might just explode out of her chest. As she was getting closer she saw a police officer zipping up a body bag with her mother inside.

"MOOOOOOOMM!!!!" screamed Nora at the top of her lungs. She collapsed on the ground kneeling over her mother's dead body. She cradled her mother's body as she cried her eyes out. "NO, MOM," she said in between tears, "PLEASE MOM, WAKE UP, YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME, YOU CAN'T!!" she begged her mother to open her eyes as she caressed her face. Barry who was with the crime scene investigation unit rushed over towards his daughter with tears in his eyes.

"Hey Nora," Barry said trying to comfort his daughter, "It's going to be ok."

"No, it's not!" Nora screamed still crying, "She's gone and it's all my fault!!"

"It's not your fault Nora," Barry said calmly rubbing his daughter's back trying to calm her down.

"Yes, it is," Nora said crying "I'm the reason she's like this, I'm the reason that she's dead!" she said with her voice cracking at the end.

Barry pulled Nora into a hug and let her cry her eyes on his chest. Nora squeezed her father tightly afraid that she was going to lose him too. "It's going to be ok," Barry said rubbing her back "It's not your fault, you didn't know, you didn't know she was going to be here, none of us did," he said as an officer took away Iris's body. Nora cried even harder as she watched as her mother lifeless body was dumped into a police van.

"I wasn't fast enough" she cried.

"Hey," said Barry looking straight into his daughter's eyes, "Listen to me ok. You are fast. You didn't know that Iris was going to be here, none of us did. None of us knew that she was in danger. So don't you go blaming this on yourself" he said.

Nora sniffled a little in his arm, and cried out saying"If I w-would h-have k-known w-where she was, w-where she was going to be-"

"but you didn't" interrupted Barry, "None of us did," Barry said sadly. Nora broke down and began to cry again along with Barry. [Joe took the day off and was with Jenna in case you were wondering]

None of them knew that Iris was going to be there in that warehouse that day. It turns out that she was working on a new report and was following a lead. Turns out that lead cost her, her life.

5 days later......FUNERAL FOR IRIS

Everyone attended Iris's funeral. It was a gloomy day in Central City as the members of Team Flash mourned the loss of one of their member. Caitlin stood next to her husband Barry😱😁😘💍 holding his hand to comfort him in this time of grief. Barry held his son Don in his other hand, as Caitlin held on to their daughter Dawn in her other hand😁. Their son Henry stood next to them with his head down and a tear running down his cheek. Ralph, Harry, and Cisco stood near the casket with their head's down. Joe, Cecile, Wally, and Jenna stood there looking at the casket with tears in their eye. Nora stood in the front with the priest as he said the prayer. Everyone held a flower in their hand and slowly went up to the casket saying their speech.

Ralph placed a flower on Iris's casket saying "Rest in Peace Iris"

Harry placed a flower and said "You will never be forgotten"

Cisco placed a flower and said "You will always be in our heart"

Cecile took a step forward and talked about the amazing woman she once treated like her own daughter. "We love you, Iris, may you rest in peace," Cecile said ending her speech and placing the flower on the casket. Jenna (15-year-old) went next and placed a flower on Iris's casket talking about how an amazing step-sister she was. Wally placed his flower onto Iris's casket and said: "Iris may have been a stubborn pain in the ass at times, " he began making everyone laugh lightly through their tears, "but she was an amazing person who I am proud to call my sister" he ended.

Joe clapped his son on the back lightly as it was his turn to make a speech. "Iris was a beautiful and successful young woman. She was an amazing reporter who wrote nothing but the truth. She was willing to go to such lengths to find the truth. Unfortunately, she wasn't so lucky this time, and it ended up costing her, her life." Joe began crying, "Iris, sweetheart...if you can hear me...I want you to know how proud I am of you. Since you were so little....you were always a fighter. You were daddy's little girl. You will always be......my precious little girl. And I love you so much baby girl" Joe said breakdown and crying leaving everyone with tears in their eyes. Cecile put a reassuring hand on her husband's shoulder (yes they got married👰🏾🙌) trying to comfort him. Joe then pulled Cecile into a hug and began to cry his eyes out on her shoulder as she rubbed his back.

Caitlin then took a step forward with her flower in her hand. "Iris," she began, "was an amazing and inspiring young woman who I am honored to have known. She was fierce...and a total badass, who never took no for an answer. She was strong and independent and would face danger with no fear at all. She was tuff and brave and if you got on her bad side, god help you, cause if looks could kill, you would be 6 ft under," she said laughing lightly making everyone else laugh too, remembering of a time she shot Ralph a death glare and he almost peed his pants😂😅. "The point is," Caitlin continued, "Iris was an amazing mother and friend, who despite not having powers, will always be a hero in all of our heart, " she said ending her speech with tears falling down her cheek.

She carefully placed her rose on Iris's casket and walked back towards Barry and their kids. Barry took her hand and lightly kissed her forehead as she wiped her tears🤗. Caitlin gave Barry a reassuring smile and squeezed his hand telling him that she was okay. Barry sighed knowing that it was his turn to go up. "It'll be ok," Caitlin said to her husband and kissed him on the cheek for good luck (my Snowbarry feels☺️☺️, iIfeel like are Captain is dying while watching this😁😲😄). Barry nodded and smiled at Caitlin before going up.

He walked up and stopped at the casket next to Nora and the priest. He placed the rose on top of the casket and took a shaky breath before beginning his speech. "Iris was an amazing mother, friend, sister, aunt, daughter, and whatever you can think of. She was without a doubt an amazing person who I am glad to have known. She was courageous, brave, feisty, and smart. She was my best friend who I grew up with and later fell in love with. We had a daughter together, who I'm sure she would be proud of the amazing woman she has become" he said holding Nora's hand as a tear fell down her cheek."She was my first love, and will always hold a special place in my heart," he said looking at Caitlin, "but she was the one who helped lead me to meet the love of my life who I can't imagine living without," he said looking at Caitlin with heart eyes😍😘. Caitlin smiled back at him through her tears😌.

"Nora," Barry said looking at his daughter, "I want you to know that Iris's death was not your fault. I know that you want to blame yourself for what happened, but please don't, it won't change anything. Iris wouldn't want you blaming yourself for this. She would want you to be brave and look for her killer. You were her hero and always will be.....and you'll always be my hero too" said Barry smiling at his daughter with tears in his eyes. Nora smiled back and then engulfed Barry in a hug.

Once they were finished hugging, a 17-year-old Henry walked up and placed his flower on Iris's casket. "You were the coolest Aunt I could ever have. You showed me what it's like to live and be normal despite my...circumstances (referring to his powers). Thank you, Aunt Iris, for everything. You were an amazing reporter.........and even better Aunt," Henry said crying, "Your legacy as a reporter will live on forever, " he said before walking back to his mother and the twins. Caitlin placed a kiss on Henry's head knowing that was hard for him. Barry watched from where he was standing next to Nora with a sad smile on his face.

Next, the 7-year-old twins went up holding each other hand while holding a flower in the other. They placed the flower on Iris's casket. Dawn and Don stared at the casket for awhile realizing that they won't ever see their Aunt ever again. Tears began to fall down their cheeks as they sadly said,"We love you, Aunt Iris", and then ran back towards their mother crying. Caitlin dropped to her knees as the twins came running towards her with tears in their eyes. She engulphed them in a hug as they cried their eyes out. Everyone started to tear up seeing the twins devastated😭😭. Barry watched the scene from where he was standing and it broke his heart💔. He wanted to just run over there towards them but felt like Nora could use her father here right now. Eventually, the twins calmed down and held onto Caitlin's hand. Barry shot a weak smile towards Caitlin through tears, who returned the gesture😢.

Nora went towards her mother casket, with a black leather jacket in her arm. She kneeled down and rested her head on the casket. "Mom," Nora said through tears, "I want you to know that I love you. You were my hero, and always will be," she said through tears,"I promise you that I will find whoever did this to you and get justice for you."

"They will pay for what they did," she said through gritted teeth and stood up. She looked at the leather jacket in her hand and slowly traced her fingers along it landing on a bullet hole. The leather jacket belonged to Iris and was the same one she wore when she was shot and killed. Nora decided to keep it as a reminder of who she is fighting for.

"I will find them, even if it's the last thing I do," said Nora. Barry came to Nora side putting a hand on her shoulder reassuring that she wasn't alone in this. "Come on Nora," Barry said pulling Nora away as Iris's casket was lowered and buried right next to her mother, "let's go," he said. And then with one final goodbye, they all left and headed off to Barry and Caitlin's house for the wake............................................................................................................................................

"Nora?" Iris asked, "did you hear me? What about this one?" Iris said breaking Nora out of her flashback.

Nora looked back at the same leather jacket Iris had worn when she had died. "It's good" replied Nora nonchalantly and then quickly looked away.

"Ok, great!" said Iris slipping on the jacket.

"Hey," Iris said, "are you ok? You seem a little down?" she asked her daughter.

"Huh..OH...yeah, yeah,....I'm fine" she replied back trying to convince her.

"You sure?" Iris asked still not convinced.

"Positive" Nora replied trying to sound calm.

"Ok, well if you ever need to talk you know I'm always here," said Iris.

"I know," said Nora standing up.

"Well I got to go," said Iris checking the time, "don't want to be a late now," she said grabbing her purse and leaving.

"Good luck," Nora called out as she sat on the couch in the living room about to watch TV.

"Thanks" replied Iris before she went out the door. Once Iris was gone Nora tried to control her breathing. She was filled with anger and rage, at the sight of seeing that jacket and what happened to Iris in it. That same jacket was the reason she came here to this time.

She needed to get rid of her anger, and what better way than going for a run. So in a flash of purple and yellow lighting, Nora was gone too.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SO NOW WE KNOW THE REAL REASON TO WHY NORA IS HERE. WHAT DID U GUYS THINK? I HOPE U CRIED BECAUSE I DID WHILE WRITING THE PART WITH THE TWINS.

THE NEXT CHAPTER IS GOING TO BE EPIC AND WILL BE THE START TO SOMETHING BIG.
