STAR LABS
10:30 am
Henry, Caitlin, Barry, Ralph, and Cisco sat in the Cortex lounging around. Suddenly Harry bolted into the room.
"I got it!" he exclaimed pulling something up on the tablet in his hand.
"What do you got?" questioned Cisco looking at the man.
"Well you know that mob that has been selling those illegal guns?" began Harry.
"Yeah," replied Ralph.
"Well I finally found their leader," he said pulling up the information and projecting it across the lab.
"Meet Camilla Castiglione, a notorious gun seller, assassin, and drug dealer," replied Harry as a young woman most likely in her mid thirties with light brown hair showed up on the screen. "She is credited for over 50 kills and numerous deals involving drugs and ammunition across the city," informed Harry as everyone listened attentively.
"Do we know where she'll be striking next?" questioned Henry.
"As a matter of fact we do," smiled Harry. "Camilla is good friends with Frank Gomez," he said pulling up his photo of a fat old bald man in his seventy's. "A millionaire known for dealing with some shady business," emphasized Harry. "I've just been informed that Frank will be throwing a big brash party tonight. While the party is in full effect, Camilla and Frank will be making a deal right under the party goers nose's, making it the perfect way to have a trade unnoticed," explained Harry.
"I have managed to reserve 3 tickets for us. I was thinking that Barry and Henry would go since their both speedsters and are working as a pair," reasoned Harry as everyone nodded in agreement. "I also think that Caitlin should have the last ticket," he said surprising everyone.
"Me?" questioned Caitlin pointing to herself.
"Yeah. This will give you guys the perfect backstory. You and Barry can pose as a couple with your adopted son or distinctive nephew, whatever you prefer," added Harry hoping that they will let his golden trio go without a problem.
"What about us?" asked Ralph pointing between him and Cisco.
"Will stay here as backup encase they need us. Cisco can breach us there," answered Harry stating the logic behind his motives.
"That seems like a good approach," praised Henry after a moment of thought.
"I agree," added Barry as everyone nodded in agreement.
"Great," smiled Harry. "Well once you guys are in be on the look out for Camilla. She'll be surrounded by her bodyguards who will guide her to the room where Frank is. They will be trading off some CCPD killer guns in this trade I got from a lead. Barry and Henry should follow them and intercept, successfully shutting it down. Caitlin you'll stay in the ballroom and mingle while they wrap things up. Is that clear?" he asked in an authoritative voice already having a plan.
"Affirmative," answered Henry for the group already used to taking orders.
"Alright," he clapped his hands together. "The party start's at 10 so will meet back her by 9:00 to prepare," he said as everyone nodded.
Suddenly both Barry and Ralph got an alert asking for their presence at the department. "Looks like were needed," noted Ralph.
"Let's get back to work," said Barry as they gathered their jackets. Stopping in his track Barry turned around to face his son.
"You coming Henry?" asked Barry.
"Nah. I'm gonna help them here," answered Henry deciding to take one of his day off.
"Ok," smiled Barry before leaving.
"Cisco I'm gonna need your help in making some earpieces that won't be detected by metal detectors," said Harry grabbing the engineer attention. "And maybe we can make some mini spy cams while we're at it," he said leading the man out of the Cortex.
Watching them leave Henry turned his attention to his mother. Biting his lip worriedly Henry approached her. "Maybe it would be a good idea if we continue our training in hand to hand combat," suggested Henry. "Encase you'll need it to defend yourself if I'm not there in time," voiced Henry displaying his concern.
"I think that's a great idea," smiled Caitlin as they made there way to the training room.
---------------------------------------
5:00 pm
After hours of long and exhausting hours of training with breaks in between, Caitlin & Henry decided to call it a day.
"We should get ready for the event," voiced Henry out of breath as they grabbed a towel to dry off.
"Yeah. You can help me pick out a dress," smiled Caitlin tiredly.
"Sure thing mom," huffed out Henry laughing a bit knowing it will take her awhile to decide on a perfect outfit. Gathering there things the pair made their way to Cait's loft.
--------------------------------------------
9:00 pm
CORTEX
After changing into their formal attire Henry and Caitlin headed towards the Cortex. Barry was already there with the rest of the guys; Harry, Ralph & Cisco. Turning around at sounds of heels clicking Barry gave Caitlin a once over. She looked beautiful. Dressed in and elegant long blue satin dress with a deep cut, Barry was flabbergasted. Henry entered right after wearing a tuxedo.
CAIT'S OUTFIT EXCEPT HER HAIRS IN A PONYTAIL
"Hey guys," greeted Henry.
Turning around Ralph glanced at Caitlin's outfit before whistling. "Damn Caitlin. You look hot!" he said without thinking which earned him an elbow in the gut by Barry.
"Ok," said Henry breaking the awkward tension as Ralph tried to recover back. "Are we ready?" he stepped forward to inspect the computer screen with the other two men in the room. Stepping back Barry stood beside Caitlin. Clearing his throat he spoke to her.
"You look really nice," he commented glancing her over. "Not that you don't always look good," he added as she stared at him. "You look good everyday," he said quickly. "It's just you look especially good today. In that dress," he corrected blushing furiously.
Looking at him Caitlin laughed lightly at his embarrassment. "Thanks Barry," smiled Caitlin.
"Almost," replied Harry answering Henry's question. "We've made these ear piece that will go unnoticed by both the naked eye and the metal detector," noted Harry passing it to the trio going.
"We also created this miniature camera for you guys," added Cisco handing Caitlin a necklace and the boys an American flag pin with spy cam built in.
"Nice," commented Barry fastening it on his tuxedo as Henry helped his mother clip on her necklace.
"We also have your I.D's," said Ralph passing it to them. "You will be going as yourself, since most people in the upper class is familiar with Barry's sudden inheritance," added Harry.
"So how are we getting there? I don't suppose we could use our speed," commented Henry with a smirk.
"I've got that covered," said Barry holding a pair of car keys. Keys to a Lamborghini. Looking at the car keys Henry's eyes bugged out.
"Once you guys spot Camilla race back here to collect your suits since you won't be able to carry them," replied Harry.
"Got it," said the two speedsters in sync. "Now can we go," said Henry excited to take the new car for a spin.
"Alright go," said Harry sensing his impatience. "Well be on comms in case you need back up," he added as the trio made there way out.
"Can I drive?" asked Henry excitedly,
"Do you even know how to drive?" questioned Caitlin.
"No. But how hard could it be," he answered. He was suppose to learn how to drive this year but due to his predicament he is in the past. "I'll be fun," he added hoping they'll let him drive.
"Let me think about it," said Caitlin like she was actually considering it.
"No," replied both parents in sync.
------------------------------------------
Arriving in the parking lot of Star Labs, the trio was met with a luxurious red Lamborghini.
Looking at the glossy scarlet car Henry whistled. "Damn she's a real beauty," he said admiring the car.
"Red really?" questioned Caitlin looking at Barry amusingly.
"It's just my style," smirked Barry before opening the passenger door for Caitlin. Thanking him Caitlin hoped in as Henry hoped in the backseat. Pulling out of the laboratory, Barry headed to Frank's lavish house which was on the other side of town.
------------------------------------------
9:45 pm
FRANK'S MANSION
Pulling up to the mansion Barry handed over the car key to a chauffeur who stood nearby the entrance. Entering through the doors Barry offered his arm to Caitlin who took it politely playing the part of a loving girlfriend. As they moved into the room they had to go through a series of security checks.
Removing any jewelry or metal they had on the security team passed it through an x-ray machine. Every person stepped through a metal detector where they were then patted down for any weapons they might have concealed. ID were required before entry.
"These are our ID's," replied Barry passing it to a security guard.
"My name is Bartholomew Henry Allen. You might have heard of me. I'm the new owner of Star Laboratory," gloated Barry playing the part of a snobby rich person.
"This here," he offered his arm to Caitlin who slipped her arm in his, "is my beautiful and lovely girlfriend Dr. Caitlin Snow," he replied as Caitlin smiled kindly. "And over there is our adopted son Henry Joseph Allen," pointed out Barry sticking to there cover story. Looking over there ID and verifying that they weren't a threat the guard checked them off her list before granting them access to enter the ballroom where the party was taking place. With her arm wrapped around Barry, the pair proceeded in with Henry not far behind.
---------------------------------
10:00 pm
BALLROOM
Entering through the large oak doors, the family was met with an elegant and lascivious ballroom. A large chandelier stood in the middle of the room as miniature light bulb layered across the walls. It was like stepping back into time, the Victorian times. The trio was captivated by the beauty of the room. Letting go of Barry's arm Caitlin walked further into the room looking amazed by everything around her. People danced around in expensive gowns as waiters walked by carrying glasses of champagne.
Staring a the place in awe Caitlin eyes lit up as she gazed upon the room. Watching her from a far, Barry had never seen anything more beautiful. Taking a step Barry was about to ask her to dance when Henry intervened.
"May I have this dance?" he bowed holding his hand out like a gentleman.
"Why, of course," smiled Caitlin taking his hand in her's. Sauntering further into the room the pair left a baffled Barry alone.
"Really?" he called out sarcastically as he watched the pair walk further away.
"What can I say," said Henry turning around to face his father. "You snooze you lose, Allen," he teased causing Caitlin to giggle.
"Wow!" replied Barry amused.
"Snake the upper level Allen," commanded Harry through the comms. "You'll have a better chance at spotting Camilla from up there," he replied.
"Ok," mumbled Barry to himself before making his way up.
-------------------------------------------------
10:25 pm
Several minutes passed. With one hand on his mother's waist and the other clasping her hand together, Henry and Caitlin waltz across the ballroom.
"There's no signs of Camilla from down here," noted Henry surveying the room again.
"Haven't spotted her from up here either," replied Barry.
"Nothing on surveillance," replied Cisco who had hacked in.
"Well just keep waiting. She might be making a late appearance. Not to draw any attention to herself," came Harry's voice through the comms.
Sighing heavily Henry continued dancing. Noticing a change in Henry's features, Caitlin became worried.
"Are you nervous?" she inquired.
"Me, nervous," huffed out Henry amused. "Please," he said brushing her worry off. "It's a simple OP. Get in, handcuff the bad guys, and get out. Easy. There's nothing that can go wrong," replied Henry looking at his mother.
"Then why are you so tense?" wondered Caitlin noticing his rigid figure under her touch.
Sighing Henry knew she could see right through his façade. "Because I'm worried about you," admitted Henry.
"Me?" replied Caitlin taken a back. "Why?" she asked confused. "All I'm gonna be doing is mingling around," she stated.
"I know," sighed Henry. "But what if something happens while I'm gone. What if something happens to you and I'm not there. There's no telling what can happen in these type of circumstances. Anything can go wrong," replied Henry.
"Hey, it's gonna be OK," assured Caitlin seeing the worried look on her son's face. "There's nothing to worry about. Besides if something does happen I know how to defend myself. Those self-defense won't go to waste," she joked with a wink.
Looking at her Henry nodded his head. She was right there was nothing to worry about. He was just being paranoid. Suddenly at that very moment Camilla entered the ballroom guarded by 4 huge bodyguards and a briefcase in hand. They moved passed the huge crowd headed towards the stairs. Spotting them climbing the stairs Barry notified Henry.
"Henry there making there way up. It's time to move in," came Barry's voice through the comms.
Seeing them on the staircase Henry nodded his head. "On my way," came back his reply. Leaning over Henry kissed his mother on the cheek. "Be careful," he whispered into her ears.
"I will," assured Caitlin. "Good luck," she wished him as he made his way up the stairs.
Heading up the second set of stairway Henry hide behind a pillar with his father. Peaking occasionally, the pair watched as Camilla and her goons entered through a set of metal doors that was guarded by two guards.
"Alright, you guys know the drill," replied Harry.
Looking at each other the father and son nodded there head before speeding to Star Labs. Returning back to their previous position, the two speedsters stood clade in their super suits. They both had 4 pair of handcuffs in their pouches for the goons.
"Ready?" asked Barry.
"Yeah," said Henry before speeding towards the guards before he could say a word.
"Ding dong," replied Henry punching the guard in the face.
"Whoops!" he called out wincing as he looked down at the unconscious guard's nose bleed. "Wrong figure of speech," he said as the other guard growled angrily before launching himself at Pursuit. Seeing his move Henry side stepped before throwing a lighting punch at his face knocking him unconscious next to his partner.
"Really?" said Barry flashing towards his son's side. "What happened to the element of surprise?" he asked sarcastically.
"Where's the fun in that," shrugged Henry.
Shaking his head Henry turned towards the door. Gripping the handle Barry tried to push it open. The door did not budge. Frustrated Barry kept twisting and trying to push the door open. Watching him struggle Henry shook his head at his father. The door wouldn't open without a password entered into the electrical system located beside the side of the door. Some CSI his father was.
"Ahem," said Henry clearing his throat before gesturing towards the panel.
"Oh!" said Barry realizing the issue. "Well we'll have to faze then," he said taking a step back about to do just that. Putting his hand in front of him Henry stopped his father's action.
"Not so fast. I have a different method," he smirked before switching to his cold personal. Cold surged around Henry turning his hair white as snow and eyes bright blue. Seeing this Barry's eyes widened.
"Chillax dude," came back Henry's snarky remark. With the loud speakers playing music in the background it would drown out the noise he was about to make. Conducting enough ice mist Henry set an ice blast towards the door knocking it off its hinges.
PARALLEL
Discussing their deal Camilla along with Frank and their goons turned around at the sound of the doors falling off it's hinges. Watching as the icy mist cleared the group was met with The Flash and an ice meta.
"What the hell," muttered Camilla. In a flash, Camilla along with 3 of her goons were handcuffed by Henry while Barry handcuffed her other goon, Frank, and 2 of Frank's guard. This left about 6 goons free. Similar to Camilla, Frank took extra precautions. He arrived with 4 goons for protection while an additional 4 guards stood in each corner of the room.
"Looks like we didn't think this through," muttered Henry seeing the other 6 members reaching for their guns.
"Look's like were gonna have to do this the old fashion style," replied Barry dodging a bullet before punching a goon in the face. Working together the pair fought through the crowd of criminals.
------------------------------------------------
10:30 pm
With Henry gone Caitlin made her way towards the buffet table for some snacks. Grabbing a plate she stacked up on some fruits, chocolate, and pastries. Munching on the treats a server walked by with some champagne offering her a glass. Thanking her Caitlin sipped on the drink while eating. She was worried for Henry, so she decided to help ease her worry by stress eating.
Walking towards the buffet table an old woman looked over at the different type of appetizers. Seeing Caitlin standing by the table skeptically picking some of the appetizer before munching on it the woman decide to ask her opinion on the sweets.
"Is that good?" she asked timidly.
"Pardon me," gulped Caitlin just noticing the woman.
"The pastry. The macaroon," clarified the older woman gesturing towards Caitlin's hand.
"Oh!" realized Caitlin looking at the dessert in her hand. "Yeah there really good," she said sheepishly brushing away the crumbs from her face with a napkin. She had in fact ate several of them without realization.
Smiling at the young woman the older woman extended out her hand. "My names Madeline by the way," replied the older woman.
"Dr. Caitlin Snow," smiled Caitlin shaking her hand.
"That's a nice dress," complimented Madeline picking up a plate.
"Thank you. Yours is just as lovely," praised Caitlin.
"Well a beautiful woman like yourself must have a date," assumed the woman placing a dessert onto her plate. "So were is he or she?" she asked looking behind Caitlin for a sign of her date.
"Oh! Well I actually came here with my nephew, Henry," admitted Caitlin. "He's 16 and absolutely adores Mr. Gomez's work. You know changing the evolution of technology as we see it," she said referring to Frank's tech business. "And to see the drone firework display of course," replied Caitlin coming up with a perfect cover story.
"The kid's love that," laughed Madeline as Caitlin joined in.
"I actually came here with my husband, Bertram," replied Madeline as an older gentleman joined the pair. "Bertram this is Dr. Caitlin Snow," replied Madeline as the man linked his arm into his wife's. "Caitlin this is my husband Bertram," introduced Madeline.
"How do you do," greeted the old man planting a kiss on the back of Caitlin's hand.
"Nice to meet you," smiled Caitlin. They looked like a very friendly couple.
"How long have you two been married?" wondered Caitlin.
"Well, actually," Madeline began shyly. "Today is our 60th anniversary," she admitted blushing.
"60 wonderful years," replied her husband kissing her cheek.
"Wow! Well congratulation to you too," said Caitlin impressed.
"Thank you dear," said Bertram.
"How did you guys meet?" asked Caitlin interested in hearing the story.
Looking at each other the older couple shared a look. "We actually meet here. At Mr. Gomez's house, 60 years ago. You see when I was 30 I had just moved to Central City for a fresh start. My parent's had recently died in a car crash and I was looking for a break. I landed a job as a nanny for Frank's kids. Frank was 20 and as a new father this made him the least experience with kids. While babysitting his kids I met Bertram. He was the kids personal driver. He was also 30 and extremely annoying when we first met. Always so optimistic. I wasn't really in the mood for making friends as the incident with my parents was a sore topic. Bertram would always try to get me to smile or laugh. He was so persistent on it. Then one day at a bar he had asked me out. I said no but he wouldn't back down. He kept trying everyday and no matter how many time I said no he never gave up. Eventually he managed to break through my cold exterior and here we are now. 60 years later," finished off Madeline with a smile.
"60 wonderful years," emphasized her husband. "You are the best thing that's ever happen to me," smiled Bertram lovingly.
"That's really beautiful," complimented Caitlin. Suddenly a younger man asked for Bertram presence.
"Excuse me ladies," excused Bertram leaving the two woman alone.
"I wish I would get to experience that type of love you two share," voiced Caitlin.
"I'm sure you will, dear," said Madeline motherly. "In fact there are many suitable men all around you," she gestured around the room. Unlike Madeline Caitlin knew that most of these men may be good looking but they were also criminals.
"Well see," said Caitlin politely.
"That's the spirit," cheered Madeline. "You'll do great. Just put yourself out there. Good luck honey," wished Madeline before leaving to join her husband.
Watching her go Caitlin turned back to the buffet table. Standing over it Caitlin began to stuff her face with the many hors d'oeuvres. Suddenly the sound of gunfire abrupt in the ballroom as a 6 man army walked in through the entrance. People screamed in terror looking at the rogue shooters.
"Everybody shut up! Party's over! Up against the wall!" commanded one of the men. Seeing as the buffet table was already against a wall Caitlin stood put only placing down her plate of food. Everyone began to line up along the wall creating a circle around the room.
A larger man who was the leader strode in. "Now that we've got you attention. I want everyone to pass up any valuable items you may have on hand. That includes, cash, credit cards, watches, necklace, rings, anything worth money," replied the leader as his men walked around with a sack collecting the items.
The leader approached Madeline and her husband who stood on the opposite end of the buffet table Caitlin was at. Bertram willingly gave up his expensive watch while his wife held back on giving up her wedding ring.
"Give me the ring!" demanded the man.
"I can't. It's my wedding ring. My husband worked hard to buy me this," pleaded Madeline.
"I don't give a damn! Give me your ring!" yelled the leader forcefully grabbing Madeline by the shoulder before pushing her to the ground.
"You get your hands off my wife!" shouted Bertram pushing the man back. Stumbling the man retrieved his footing before aiming his gun and shooting Bertram in the shoulder.
"Bertram!" cried Madeline rushing to her husband side. Leaning over him Madeline put pressure on her husbands wound.
"Let this be a warning for anyone who thinks they can step out of line!" yelled the leader pointing at Bertram.
4 of his men stood beside the leader as the other 2 stood on the outer side of the circle making sure everyone was in place. People shook in fear as the leader looked around the room for objection.
Disgusted by this man Caitlin couldn't sit back and watch anymore. Reaching behind her she grabbed a roll from the buffet table. Seeing an opening she tossed it hitting the leader square in the back of his head.
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" yelled Caitlin.
Swirling around the leader looked around the crowd angrily. "Who did that?" he asked darkly.
"I did asshole," replied Caitlin. "Want another one?" she side stepped displaying the many rolls behind her.
Looking at the brunette the leader eye gazed over her. "Well aren't you a pretty one," he replied walking over. Circling around her the man drank Caitlin in. She was indeed quite beautiful. Had an amazing figure which he admired running his sleazy finger over causing Caitlin to tense up.
"What's your name sweetheart?" asked the man looking directly at her cleavage.
Glaring at him Caitlin kept her cool. Slowly she reached behind her grabbing a knife off the table. "Your worst nightmare," she replied before thrusting the knife in the goons abdomen.
Clenching his stomach the leader limped forward. Ripping the knife out Caitlin attacked the other 4 guards who ready there guns at her. Kicking, punching, and slashing Caitlin disarmed the 4 gun men. Through this commotion the guests turned on the two goons guarding them.
Seeing one of the masked men pulling a gun from his vest pocket Caitlin backed up towards the buffet table. Noticing a steel platter on the table Caitlin decided to use a trick she learnt from Henry, more specifically Henry's best friend.
[HENRY'S BEST FRIEND WILL BE MAKING AN APPEARANCE AND HIS PARENT'S WILL BE REVEALED LATER ON; IT WILL BE SURPRISING]
Lifting her leg Caitlin kicked downward causing the platter to jump up. Grabbing it she spun around using it as a shield to protect herself from the oncoming bullets. Moving forward the mask man closed in on Caitlin. Once he got close enough Caitlin swung the platter knocking the gun out of his hand. Swinging it back she punched him in the nose with it before kicking him in the leg causing him to buckle. As he began to fall Caitlin swung it back one more time for good measure knocking him out cold.
Slowly the other gun men began to recover. Tilting her head to the side Caitlin jumped back into the fight.
------------------------------------------
10:53 pm
Moving together in sync the two speedsters worked as a pair. Due to the room being soundproof the guest downstairs couldn't hear the commotion going on upstairs. Using there speed as an advantage Barry and Henry beat up the goons before binding there hands with ropes they found nearby and belts.
Walking over to the briefcase Henry pried the case open with his speed. Looking down at the 8 set of guns Henry whistled.
"Look like we hit the jackpot," he replied showing his father the case.
"Thanks to you guys we will be keeping the streets a lot safer," said Flash looking at the criminals. "Those CCPD killer guns can cause a lot of harm," he said matter of factly.
"That was the point," growled Frank.
"Well that won't be happening, now would it," replied Flash tilting his head.
"It's a pleasure doing business with you guys," smiled Pursuit closing the case.
"You'll pay for this," snarled Camilla.
"Sure we will," smirked Henry not at all affected by her remark.
Walking over Henry stood by his father who held onto the robe holding the 14 criminals together.
"I'll take them to Iron Height while you Pursuit-" began Flash before he was interrupted by a gunshot.
Turning around swiftly Henry looked at the open door way. The gunshot had come from the ballroom.
"Take them away," commanded Henry before racing out the door. His heart beating rapidly fearing the worse.
---------------------------------------------
A masked man pulled a knife out of his thigh holster. Swinging the blade around wildly he approached Caitlin. Slashing the air he managed to scratch Caitlin's shoulder. Gripping onto her wound Caitlin winced. Advancing on her he swung it again creating a slash on the side of her cheek. Snapping back into action Caitlin fought back. Punching and kicking Caitlin found an opening. Tornado kicking the man Caitlin sent him flying into a nearby table causing it to break with his weight.
Another masked man moved in on Caitlin. Sensing his presence Caitlin turned around engaging in a fight with him. Distracted by the altercation she failed to noticed the other goon she sent crashing into a table standing back up. On shaky legs the man reached into his vest pocket pulling out a dagger. Caitlin's back was to the man meaning she couldn't see the attack. Aiming it at the back of her head the man threw the dagger.
At that moment Henry flashed into the room. Surveying the room Henry noticed the dagger headed straight for his mother. Using his speed and ability to manipulate with time Henry grabbed the dagger midair as it was inches away from it's intended target. As he unfroze time Caitlin knocked her opponent in the head causing him to lay unconscious on the floor. Standing behind his mother with dagger in hand Henry glared at the criminal.
PARALLEL
"Yeah, I can do that too," he replied looking at the goons shocked expression noticing the young man was also a speedster. Dropping the dagger Henry sped to the man punching him square in the face knocking him unconscious.
"Thanks," smiled Caitlin gratefully.
"Are you ok?" asked Henry rushing back to her side.
"Never better," she said with a bloody smile as her lips were bleeding.
Noticing a figure swinging a punch at her son Caitlin warned him. "Duck!" she yelled engaging in a fight with him. Seeing another goon approaching his mother from the back Henry advanced on him. Together the pair worked in sync fighting the bad guys.
As they took out the last one, another one of his buddy managed to get a hold of a grenade. Popping the lock he threw it at the crowd of people with Henry and Caitlin in the middle of it. Using his speed Henry moved around the room grabbing people from harms way.
At that very moment Henry's father shot into the room. In a flash Barry saved the last person standing in the middle of the blast who happened to be Caitlin. Taking her by the waist Barry managed to move her in time but the pair was sent flying by the impact of the blast. Rolling around on the ballroom floor the pair came to a halt with Barry hovering over Caitlin protectively.
Seeing as his mother was safe Henry took out the last goon handcuffing him along with his friends. Looking down at Caitlin Barry sighed in relief. Quickly rolling off her Barry helped her up.
"Are you alright?" he asked.
"I'm fine," replied Caitlin as they stared into each other eyes.
"Bertram keep your eyes open for me dear," pleaded Madeline causing the couple to break eye contact.
Rushing over Caitlin examined Bertram's wound. "Look like it's a clean cut. No major artery or vessels were damage. The bullet will have to be removed but other than that you'll be ok," detected Caitlin in full doctor mode.
"Oh thank god," breathed out Madeline in relief.
"I'll get him to the hospital," responded Henry before carefully picking up the old man and running out of the room.
"Thank you. Thank you so much, Caitlin," cried Madeline clutching onto the young woman. Wrapping her arm around her Caitlin comforted Madeline as Henry returned back shortly after.
"The cops are on there way," he informed his father. "I'll take you to the hospital now so you can be with your husband," replied Henry looking directly at the older woman.
"Thank you," replied Madeline turning to the dark speedster gratefully. "And thank you Flash," she said looking at the scarlet speedster. "For everything," she said grateful for there help. Walking over to the younger speedster Henry picked up Madeline before disappearing in a flash.
Looking around the room Barry noticed that most of the guest were gone with a few lingering around checking on other occupants. Turning his attention to Caitlin Barry noticed her lips were bleeding.
"Your bleeding," replied Barry cupping the side of her face to examine it better.
"It's fine," assured Caitlin as Barry's thumb wiped away the blood leaking down the side of her mouth. "I guess one of the masked man got lucky," she joked.
"I'm fine. Honestly," she replied seeing the serious look on Barry's face. Looking at her Barry sighed in relief before leaning his forehead against hers.
"I was so worried," he admitted. Pulling back he looked into her eyes. "If it weren't for those bad guys I would have runned after you like Henry," he said looking at her. Gazing into his sea green eyes Caitlin could see the fear at the thought of losing her.
"I'm right here Barry," she whispered caressing the side of his face. "I'm right here," she said pulling him into a hug. Wrapping his arm around her Barry cradled Caitlin against his chest. Holding her protectively Barry kissed the top of her head as the remaining guest watched on.
Pulling out there phone the crowd began to record the moment between the scarlet hero and the mysterious woman. Seeing that they were drawing attention Caitlin pulled back. Clearing her throat she addressed Barry.
"We should go," she said as they heard sirens in the distance.
"Yeah," agreed Barry before picking Caitlin up. Holding onto each other tighter the pair disappeared into the night.
