Part 40: Arrow Cave
STAR LABS
6:30 pm
Once they finished both Henry and Caitlin took a step back admiring their work.
"You look good as new," commented Caitlin, noticing that the patches had healed beautifully.
Looking at his frostbite that had disappeared Barry smiled. "Thanks so much guys," smiled Barry looking at the two doctors.
"We're just doing our job," smiled Caitlin, putting an arm around her son's shoulder who placed an arm around her waist. "Although I do suggest you get some sleep, so that the wounds can fully heal. Doctors orders," added Henry looking at his father pointedly.
"I will," nodded Barry before looking around the room. It was just down to him, Caitlin, Henry, Cisco, and Wells. Iris and Nora had left a couple of minutes ago. Joe was needed at home to take care of Jenna. And Ralph left because he needed his beauty sleep.
"So with that said I'm gonna head home," Cisco yawned out. Grabbing his things Cisco began to make his way out. "Wait for me, Ramon," called out Harry running after him.
Seeing that all the medical equipment was put away Caitlin turned to her son."How about we head home too," suggested Caitlin. Nodding his head the pair began to make his way out.
"Wait!" called out Barry getting their attention. Stopping by the entrance, the pair turned around to look at the speedster. Running towards them Barry stopped in front of his son.
"What is it dad?" questioned Henry.
"You were right. I do need you. More than you know," replied Barry a bit out of breath.
"What are you saying dad?" asked Henry with an eyebrow raised.
"How would you like to join me at CCPD?" said Barry, getting straight to the point.
"Are you serious?" asked Henry with excitement.
"Dead serious," answered Barry with a smile.
"But h-how would you do it?" questioned Henry. The last time he had asked his father to join him at his workplace he had turned him down cause he was his son.
"I might need your help with that part," smirked Barry with a twinkle in his green eyes. Looking at his father Henry tilted his head wondering what he had in mind.

STAR CITY
6:35 pm
Sitting at her desk Felicity typed on the keyboards as Oliver did some pull ups on the Salmon Ladder. Suddenly a gust of wind blew into the Arrow Cave as two figures stood in the room.
"Oh my god! This is so cool," geeked out Henry as he looked around the room.
Yelping Felicity spun her chair around facing the intruder as Oliver jumped down from the Salmon Ladder.
"Ohh! Are those specialty arrows?" questioned Henry examining the arrow pieces.
"Pointy," noted Henry, touching the sharp tip of the arrow.
"Explosive arrows, acidic arrow, router arrow," named Henry picking up each piece.
"Barry what the hell?!" questioned Oliver, noticing one of the intruders was the scarlet speedster.
"Oh! Hey guys," waved Barry noticing his friend.
"Hi," waved back Felicity.
"Oh you guys got some grappling hooks and guns too," noted Henry inspecting the sets.
"What is that?" questioned Oliver pointing at the young man with light brown hair.
Ignoring him Henry made his way towards the superhero suits. "Oh my god! Is that the original Green Arrow suit! And are those the Black Canaries suit! Arsenal! Speedy! Spartan! Mr. Terrific! Wild Dog!" fanned Henry staring at the suits.
"Oh ho! I got to take a selfie with that," said Henry taking his phone out to take a picture.
"OH no you don't!" said Oliver, stepping forward only to be stopped by Barry.
"Relax, calm down. He's just looking around," said Barry as Oliver glared at him.
Walking around the room Henry began to document his adventure in the Arrow Cave.
"Atticus never gonna believe this," whispered Henry, thinking about his friend from his time.
[Atticus; you will learn more about him latter on]
"This is so badass! Although some of your techs are kind outdated," Henry turned around towards them as Felicity pouted. "No offense thou," added Henry.
"Barry I'm gonna give you til the count of 5 to tell me who the hell this kid is or I'm gonna put my fist into your face," warned Oliver as Barry raised his arm in defense.
"Oh pardon me. Where are my manners," said Henry innerly scowling himself. "My name is Henry Joseph Allen. It's nice to meet you," said Henry with his hand outstretched. Staring at the young man both Oliver and Felicity jaw dropped.
"Allen? As in Barry Allen?" questioned Oliver recovering from his state of shock. Looking from Barry to the young man they looked almost identical.
"Yup," nodded Henry. "Barry Allen's my father," answered Henry, taking a seat on one of the computer chairs.
"No offense, but you look nothing like Iris," noted Felicity.
"None taken," shrugged Henry, noticing there was some sushi roll on the desk. "Ohh! Sushi!" exclaimed Henry beginning to eat. Looking at the young man beginning to eat Oliver pouted slightly. That was his dinner.
"That's because Iris is not his mother," Barry replied, bringing Oliver from his thoughts.
"Then who is his mother?" questioned Oliver.
"Caitlin," answered Barry.
"Oh my god! I knew it!" shouted Felicity jumping up and down in excitement. "Cisco owes me $50 bucks," noted Felicity beginning to text him.
"So you and Caitlin had a son," Oliver said with a smirk. He always felt that Iris was a bit uptight, but didn't say anything to Barry to spare his feelings.
"Apparently," smiled Barry looking at his son.
"Wait! When did you and Caitlin get together? And why is he so old? No offense," said Felicity, noticing the young man's pout.
"He's from the future," answered Barry laughing lightly.
"Ohhh!" said Felicity in understanding.
"The future," repeated Oliver.
"Yes. The future Mr. Queen," replied Henry standing up. "It's nice to officially meet you," said Henry stretching out his hand again.
"Nice to meet you too, Henry," said Oliver shaking his hand. Looking to his left Henry smiled at Felicity.
"It's nice to official meet you too, Mrs.Queen," said Henry kissing the back of her hand like a gentleman. Looking at him Felicity blushed furiously.
"Oh! What a gentleman," she praised as Oliver rolled his eyes at Henry's antic.
Looking at her Henry couldn't help but be captivated by her beauty.
"You look so much like Mia," commented Henry.
"Mia?" questioned Felicity.
"Yeah. Your daughter," replied Henry not taking in what he said.
"Daughter!" screamed Felicity excitedly.
"Shit," cursed Henry.
"We have a daughter?" asked Oliver looking at the young man.
"I've already said too much," said Henry praying that his big mouth won't mess with the future.
"Well it's too late to stop now. Spill," pushed Felicity wanting the tea.
Sighing Henry gave in. What's done has been done. "Yes you both will have a daughter in the future. Her name is Mia Queen. She is hella smart. Graduated from MIT top of her class in computer science. She was trained by Nyssa al Ghul, Sara Lance, and Oliver Queen. She specializes in Jujutsu, archery, sword training, and stick-fighting," explained Henry [Changed her last name cause I though she deserved to have her father in her life].
"She's good. I must admit," nodded Henry thinking about the time they had gone head to head in sword fights. "But I'm better," smirked Henry.
"She's also a cage fighter that goes by the name of 'Blackstar'. Which might I add, is really hot," commented Henry admiring a strong and independent woman. Hearing the young man calling his daughter 'hot' Oliver glared at him.
"Not that I'm referring to your daughter as hot," added Henry feeling Oliver's burning glare. "I mean she is hot! Like realllly hot," added Henry, hoping to ease Oliver stare but it just made it worse. "But she's not my type!" added Henry quickly as Oliver stared at him.
"I mean sure we did kiss once," mumbled Henry as Oliver looked about ready to kill the young man. "But that was just for a play, when we were kids," Henry quickly added. "I swear, it was just an innocent little peck on the lip," said Henry with his arms raised in defense. "There was no tongue or anything like that," assured Henry as Oliver fumed in anger.
"You know what. I'm gonna stop talking now," said Henry shutting up.
"Yup. That's definitely Barry's son," said Felicity shaking her head in amusement.
Calming down Oliver turned towards Barry. "Why are you here Barry?" questioned Oliver.
"I needed your help with making an ID for Henry," replied Barry, getting back to why they had visited.
"I can do that!" shouted Felicity running to the computers.
"I'll help you with that!" said Barry running after her hoping to avoid Oliver's wrath.
"Good luck Henry," called out Barry.
"Thanks a lot dad," said Henry sarcastically.
Clearing his throat Oliver got the young speedsters attention. "You," pointed Oliver, taking a step forward. "Come with me," commanded Oliver walking towards where the suits were displayed.
"Yes sir," gulped Henry praying for his life.
------------------------------------------------
"Listen Henry," began Oliver.
"Please don't stab me in the back with your arrows. Or with any sharp objects for the matter," pleaded Henry looking at all the sharp objects around.
Smirking Oliver looked at the young man."Depends on how you answer my questions," replied Oliver darkly.
"I'll have you know I was trained by you, Sara Lance, Nyssa al Ghul, Alex Danvers, Kate Kane, and Talia al Ghul. And I even joined a cult for assassins when I was 12," warned Henry so Oliver can back the fuck up.
"Ohhh scary," taunted Oliver, not at all frightened by the young speedster.
"So tell me, Henry," began Oliver. "Are you and my daughter the same age?" asked Oliver.
"No. She's older," answered Henry.
"Have you guys ever dated?" wondered Oliver.
"Ewwww!" shouted Henry. "No! Hell no!" he said in disgust as Oliver analyzed him to see if he was telling the truth.
"No offense. But I just see her as a big sister," said Henry truthfully.
"Do you always kiss your sisters?" questioned Oliver.
"Well at least I didn't marry them," argued back Henry looking discreetly at his father.
Following Henry's line of sight Oliver couldn't help but smirk as he was looking at Barry.
"You know what," announced Oliver getting Henry's attention. "I think we're gonna get along just fine," answered Oliver wrapping an arm around Henry. "So tell me more about my daughter," said Oliver leading Henry towards the center ring to do some stick-fighting.
---------------------------------------------
7:00 pm
"Ok, so this is Henry's new profile," said Felicity pulling it up on the screen. "The new and improved Henry graduated from MIT with a degree in forensic science. He has a major in criminology & medicine with a minor in computer science. He originally attended Coast City High but due to his high IQ, he graduated early. He was also a boy scout at Coast City's Survival 101. He knows CPR and the basic First Aid procedures," read Felicity.
"I got to say, that kid is really advanced. Damn, he sure got Caitlin's brain," commented Felicity typing on the keyboard.
"Eh em," said Barry clearing his throat. "What about mine?" said Barry waiting for his comment.
Giving him a once over Felicity shook her head. "Let's pray he doesn't," commented Felicity as Barry looked offended. No offense to Barry but Felicity will always have Caitlin's back. They were best friends after all. Besides, Barry is still to blind to see what's right in front of his eyes. And that's Caitlin. He still held bent on Iris and there supposed love for one another.
"I still can't get over the fact that he won a Nobel Peace Prize at 13," said Felicity, changing the subject. She shook her head as she recounted what Barry had told her about his son.
"Neither can I," smiled Barry.
"And he's a doctor! With a double master degree! And 4 doctorates!" said Felicity impressed.
"Yeah," said Barry watching his son as he trained with Oliver.
"Are you sure you aren't raising the next Einstein?" teased Felicity with a smirk.
"Let hope," said Barry laughing lightly.
"Ok," said Felicity cracking her knuckles. "What will be his new name?" asked Felicity.
"Well Caitlin was thinking he's new name would be Henry Joseph Snow," replied Barry. Caitlin and Barry had discussed it before Henry and him took off.
"Snow?" questioned Felicity with an eyebrow raised.
"Yeah. And his dad will be Charlie Snow. Caitlin's brother," answered Barry.
"I didn't know Caitlin had a brother?" replied Felicity as she began to type on the keyboard.
"She doesn't. Her doppelganger from Earth-2 did. That was his name," recounted Barry of what Caitlin had told him.
"Ok well I'm gonna have to create an ID for him," began Felicity. "Anything else I should know?" she questioned.
"Oh! Henry will be from Coast City. The city Caitlin grew up in," added Barry [I made Caitlin to be from Coast City].
"Makes sense," replied Felicity typing. "Any preferred name for the mother?" asked Felicity.
"No," said Barry, shaking his head. Typing on the computer Felicity finished the final touches.
"Ok! There we have it. Henry Joseph Snow. Born: December 10 2002. Lives in Coast City. Father: Charlie Snow. Mother: Natalie Marie Snow," read Felicity.
"Perfect!" smiled Barry.
"So what cover story are you gonna use for Henry's visit?" asked Felicity as she began to print Henry's passport and necessary ID's.
"That he's staying with Caitlin while his parents are on vacation," answered Barry. "I'll explain to Captain Singh that I'm just teaching Henry what it's like being a CSI. That it's his passion to become one. Besides, he has all the knowledge for it, and now the necessary documents to prove it," said Barry gesturing to the ID's.
"Kind of like take your kid to work day," noted Felicity
"I guess you could say that," answered Barry.
"Come on! You got to hit harder than that!" taunted Oliver, grabbing the pairs attention. Turning around Felicity and Barry watched as Oliver and Henry spared with metal rods in each hand.
"I don't wanna hurt you," begged Henry, not wanting to hurt his uncle.
"Please. you said that I trained you, right? Well let's see what you've learnt," boosted Oliver.
"Ok," gave in Henry. "But don't come crying to me when I kick your ass," smirked Henry as they circled around each other.
"Bring it on," said Oliver determined to beat the speedster.
The sound of metal clashing metal encased the cave as both Henry and Oliver tried to hit one another. Swinging his metal rod at Oliver, Oliver jumped back avoiding the blow.
"Take the rear hand Henry," commanded Oliver, noticing his slip-up. "Come on," he said circling around the young man.
"Ok," replied Henry, flipping the metal rod in his hand as he warmed up. Facing Oliver Henry began to attack. Clashing together Henry and Oliver moved in rhythm. Seeing an opening Oliver whacked the metal rod across Henry's face. His head turned swiftly to the side as blood splattered onto the floor.
"Oh my god!" screamed Felicity as Barry stood up ready to defend Henry if Oliver stepped out of line.
"Variable Acceleration," replied Oliver as Henry held the side of his face.
"Fighters work at the same pace. You switch it up, you throw your opponent of their game," advised Oliver walking around Henry. Wiping away the blood with the back of his forearm, Henry looked at Oliver.
"Yao Fei, right?" asked Henry as Oliver stared at him in shock.
"How did you-," began Oliver.
"Unlike your friend Mr. Diggle," replied Henry, cutting him off. "I know exactly what happened on that Island," smirked Henry.
Taking aback by Henry's comment Henry used this to his advantage. Charging at Oliver the two attacked one another. Seeing an opening Henry spun around only to strike his metal rod into Oliver's calf taking him down in one swift move.
"Like the fact that he gave you one of those scars," said Henry walking off. Laying on the floor Oliver looked impressed. He had used his own move against him.
Lifting his shirt over his head Henry decided to give the Salmon Ladder a go. Grabbing the metal rod Henry began to ascend each level at a normal pace. Sweat began to drip down his rock hard body with each pull up he did. Watching from the sideline, Felicity and Barry stared at him.
"But his body thou," commented Felicity biting her lip.
"Hey!" shouted Barry. "That's my son you're talking about!" said Barry, a bit jealous of Henry's build.
"I know," said Felicity calmly. "I'm just stating the obvious," said Felicity like it was no big deal.
"He definitely did not get that from you," mumbled Felicity as she began to pick up the ID's.
"Hey!" yelled Barry.
"Well it's true," defended Felicity. "No offense Barry, but you're more on the lean side. Henry definitely got those jeans from his mother," pointed out Felicity. Opening his mouth Barry was about to argue back when Oliver stepped in.
"Are you guys done yet?" asked Oliver walking towards them. Jumping down from the ladder Henry made his way over towards the pair.
"Yup," replied Felicity, placing all the ID's into an envelope.
"Great," said Henry, slipping back on his shirt. Grabbing a water bottle Oliver passed one to Henry.
"Thanks," said Henry gratefully before downing the drink.
"Well I guess that it's," replied Barry, accepting the envelope before turning back to everyone.
"Aww! I'm gonna miss you," said Felicity running over to Henry before engulfing him in a hug.
"Aunt Felicity," croaked out Henry from her strong grip. "Your suffocating me," breathed out Henry as Felicity quickly let go.
"Oh! I'm so sorry Henry," said Felicity apologetically.
"It's fine," said Henry brushing her off.
"Please come back to visit soon," begged Felicity. She was so preoccupied with getting the documents ready that she didn't get to spend time with her nephew. He seemed like such a sweet and nice kid. Plus he was absolutely adorable when he was stuttering under Oliver's burning gaze.
"I'll try," said Henry hoping that he'll get to see her again.
"And I'll try to make some time in my schedule to visit you and your mother in Central City," added Felicity.
"I think she'll like that," smiled Henry as the pair began to talk.
Turning to Oliver Barry walked over towards him.
"He's a good kid," commented Oliver looking at Henry.
"Take good care of him," said Oliver turning to Barry.
"I will," assured Barry as Henry walked over towards his father.
"Ready to go?" asked Henry looking between the pair.
"Yeah," nodded Barry.
"Take care Henry," said Oliver wrapping an arm around the young man's shoulder. "And if your old man here ever gives you any problems," said Oliver gesturing towards Barry. "Don't hesitate to call me. I'll fix his ass with one of my arrows," smirked Oliver as Barry gulped.
"For sure," laughed Henry gratefully accepting the slip of paper with the archers number on it.
"But I think I can handle him from here," smirked Henry looking at Oliver.
"I don't doubt that," said Oliver staring into his blue-green eyes.
"Well, we should go, Henry," clapped Barry, grabbing their attention. "Your mother must be worried," he said, glancing at the time on the wall.
"Your right," said Henry flashing into his super suit. "It was nice meeting you all," Henry called out as he strapped on his mask. "Until next time." He's blue-green eyes piercing through the black mask. "May the speed force be with you," winked Henry before both him and his father were gone. A pile of paper flew off the desk as the pair looked at where the speedsters once stood.
"The speed force?" questioned Oliver looking at Felicity confused.
"It's a long story," answered Felicity with a shrug.

CENTRAL CITY
7:15 pm
Standing in the Cortex Caitlin paced back and forth. Where are they? she thought as she glanced at her watch. It had been more than half an hour since Barry and her son left. It shouldn't be taking this long. Suddenly, a gust of wind brought Caitlin out of her thoughts. Turning around Caitlin was met with two figures. One clade in a scarlet suit and the other in a midnight black.
"There you guys are," sighed Caitlin in relief. "What took you guys so long?" she asked as they turned around to face her. Looking over her son Caitlin's jaws dropped. His jaw was a bit red and there was a trial of blood leading from his mouth. On top of that he looked sweaty like he had just ran a marathon.
"OMG!" gasped Caitlin. "What happened to your face?" she asked in concern. Running over towards him Caitlin began to inspect the damage done.
Sharing a look with his father they looked back at Caitlin.
"Oliver," said the pair in sync.
"He did this to you," said Caitlin incredulously. Oliver was known to be a violent person but she was sure he wouldn't hurt Henry intentionally.
"Yeah, we were sparing and he hit me with a metal bar," replied Henry. "I'm fine don't worry," assured Henry sensing her fear.
"Yeah. He got out of there easier than I did," mumbled Barry in disbelief. "The first time I trained with Oliver I walked out of there with two arrows in my back" said Barry reliving the pain of the arrows.
"Well you deserved it," replied Caitlin as Barry opened his mouth absurd. "Acting all cocky and everything," mumbled Caitlin brushing a piece of Henry's hair back.
"Did you get the documents?" asked Caitlin, turning towards Barry.
"Right here," said Barry holding it up.
"Good," nodded Caitlin. "Well see you first thing tomorrow morning then," she said before looking back at her son.
"Yup," nodded Barry.
"Come on Henry. You've got some explaining to do," she said gesturing towards the mark on his check. Grabbing her jacket the mother and son began to make their way out.
"I'm gonna need to put some ice on that," mumbled Caitlin as they made their way out. Listening to their light banter Barry shook his head. Standing in the Cortex Barry couldn't help but smile. He loved his family.
