"FLASHBACK August 7, 2033"

(Nora a 13-year-old in a 30-year old body)

Nora walked up the stairs to the front porch of her father's house. Clutching her backpack that was slung around her shoulder carrying her overnight stuff, she peered through the window. She saw a woman with ivory skin and golden brown/blonde hair holding a baby in her arms while another baby, sat in a crib playing. The two babies one a girl and the other a boy, had the same hair color as the woman, except their eyes were sea-green. Nora smiled at the scene in front of her of the happy family. Gathering up her courage she knocked on the door. It took a while for the person to answer the door but once it opened she was face to face with the same woman she saw at the window with the baby in her arm.

"Nora!" the woman exclaimed happily "You made it!"

"Yup" replied Nora "I did", she said looking inside the house.

"Oh, please, come in." said the woman making room for Nora to come in. Nora obligated and stepped into the house. She loved how cozy and warm the house felt. She looked back at the woman holding the baby girl in her arm. She smiled at the cute little baby girl.

"How are you?" the woman asked.

"I'm fine" replied Nora setting her bag down on the floor and looking around.

"How's your mother?" the woman asked making her way towards the living room where the baby boy was.

"She's great actually. She's been quite busy with work and everything" said Nora following the woman.

"I see," said the woman nodding her head "Being a reporter is a lot of work".

"It is" agreed Nora "But mom makes it work. She is even one of the best reporters in Central City!"

"Yes, she really is" replied the woman smiling fondly at Nora. Nora smiled back at the woman. Nora was really liked the woman in front of her. She treated Nora like her own child and took care of her when she was sick. She even welcomed Nora in with open arms when they first meet. She is so kind and thoughtful towards Nora, which she admires very much.

"Where's dad?" Nora asked taking a seat.

"Your father is still at work. He said he should be home around 6:30 pm" replied the woman sitting down with the baby in her arms.

"That late" Nora groaned "Can't he just super speed his way out of there?"

The woman laughed lightly at Nora's frustration to see her father. "I'm sure that if he could he would" replied the woman, "But as of right now he is in a meeting in downtown city hall. The Captain has assigned him to be the spokesperson representing the police department. So he has been listening to lecture after lecture on how to improve the city since this morning. I'm not sure you can super speed your way out of that even if you wanted to." she ended.

"I guess you can't" sighed Nora. The baby boy in the crib began to squeal once his eyes landed on Nora seeing her in the room. Nora got up and walked towards the crib.

"Hey there bud," she said. "Can I hold him?" she asked the woman.

"Of course," the woman said. Nora gently lifted the little baby into her arms. He immediately began to hug her tightly. Nora sighed lovingly the feeling of the little bundle of joy in her arms.

"You're really good with them," said the woman.

"I am, aren't I?" said Nora "Maybe you and Dad should consider letting me babysit them so you guys can have a day out?" she asked hoping she'll agree.

"Will think about it," said the woman smiling at Nora.

"What do you say, Don?" Nora asked the baby boy in her arms, "Would you like your big sister Nora to babysit you?" she cooed to the baby. The baby smiled widely at Nora.

"See," said Nora "He agrees with me. What about you Dawn? Would you like me to babysit you too?" she asked the baby twin sister. Dawn started to move her arms around in the woman's arm excitedly at Nora. Both Nora and the woman smiled at the twins. Suddenly Don started crying along with Dawn, wanting to be together.

"Hey, Hey," Nora said trying to calm down Don, "Don't cry"

"I think he wants to be with his sister" replied the woman.

"Oh ok," said Nora passing Don over to the woman. The woman held Don in one arm while holding Dawn in the other, holding them close together so that they know that the other one is there. Slowly, the twins began to calm down knowing that they were right next to each other. Nora smiled relieved.

"These two are something, aren't they?" the woman asked Nora, "They've been stuck together like glue ever since they came out of my womb. I'm surprised they weren't joined by the hips." she joked. Nora laughed at the woman's joke. She then remembered her little brother and their sleepover.

"Hey, uh, do you know if Henry's home?" Nora asked.

"Oh, yeah, he is home," said the woman. "HENRY!" she yelled. There was a gust of wind and a boy appeared. He was 10 years old and was the spitting image of his father having his light brown hair. His eyes were a blue mixed with a little green with a hazel center.

"Yes, Mom?" asked Henry wondering why she was yelling.

"Nora is here and is ready for her sleepover. Why don't you two go up and show her, her room?" she told the boy.

"Ok mom," he said "Come on Nora. I'll show you your room, then maybe we can play with my Lego set" he replied happy to have his older sister here.

"Ok," said Nora grabbing her bag. Henry began to run up the stairs excitedly with Nora following behind. Nora then stopped halfway and turned around, "Thanks again Aunt Caitlin, for everything." she said to the woman.

"It's no problem" replied Caitlin.................................

Nora woke up from her flashback dream startled a bit. Looking around she realized she was in Barry and Iris's apartment in her room. It was just a dream, she said telling herself. A dream of a memory she had in the future. She forgot how kind and caring Caitlin was towards her and started to regret what she did. I can't let this get to me, she said to herself. Caitlin may have been nice to me then, Nora thought, but what she did to me.....it cannot be forgiven. She deserves to suffer, and I'm not gonna stop until she has, she said reassuring herself that what she was doing was right.

She looked over at the time and realized it was 9:30 am in the morning. She sighed running a hand through her hair trying to forget about Caitlin in the future, and what she (as in Nora) did to her. Just then the door opened making her glance in that direction to see who it was. Iris walked in with a big smile on her face.

"You're awake?" she asked cheerfully towards her daughter.

"Yeah," agreed Nora sitting up, "I'm up"

"Great! Well get ready, were about to leave" she told Nora.

"Leave!" said Nora standing up, "where are we going?" she asked confused.

"We're going to CC Jitters for breakfast, and then we're stopping by Grandpa Joe's to visit him, remember? I thought I told you this last night?" she asked Nora.

"Oh right," said Nora remembering. "I'll be right out in a minute," she told Iris who was walking out the door.

"You better, now hurry up," said Iris walking out the door. As soon as she was gone Nora quickly got dressed and ready to go. She then walked out towards the living room, finding Barry and Iris sitting down on the couch watching the news. "I'm ready!" she said getting their attention.

"It's about time," Barry said jokingly standing up.

"Hahaha," said Nora sarcastically to her father. The three of them began to walk out the door grabbing their jackets and heading towards CC Jitters for breakfast.

CC Jitter's

The family of three walked into their favorite coffee shop just as a blast of the overwhelming smell of fresh baked pastries and coffee hit them making their stomach's growl. They quickly got in line ready to order. Iris got a skim milk chai latte and a blueberry muffin. Barry got a Flash to drink, whereas Nora ordered an Americano. Both Nora and Barry also got one of each pastry on the menu due to both being speedsters. Once their order was ready they sat down in a booth and ate. They talked for about an hour before they decided to leave. On their way out they bought some pastries for Joe and Cecile. As the family of three made their way out, a person in a black trench coat and sunglasses sat down in the back of the coffee shop sipping on his coffee. He had been watching the family intently ever since they stepped a foot into Jitters. "Gotcha," said the person to himself as he watched Nora. He then stood up and walked towards the door following them while keeping a safe distance so they wouldn't notice him.

"So Nora" began Iris "How are you liking 2018?" she asked as they made their way over to Joe's house.

"It's not bad" she replied back too lost in her thought's.

"You ok?" Barry asked.

Memories of Caitlin started to flood Nora making her stop in her tracks. She remembered everything about the woman; her smile, her laugh, the fun times they had, the way she held Nora when she cried, the way she took care of Nora when she was sick,.........even what she did to Caitlin in the future. Slowly, a tear began to fall down Nora's cheek at the memory of it.

"Nora?" Iris asked her daughter. Nora then looked at her mother coming back to reality and quickly began to wipe away the tear. "are you ok?" asked Iris.

"Yeah I'm fine," said Nora "just got something in my eye," she said trying to cover it up like nothing happened.

"OK, if you say so," said Iris placing a reassuring hand on her daughter's shoulder as they continued to walk.

They continued to walk not saying a word. Barry felt that something was not right with his daughter but decided against trying to pry it out of her, instead he tried to lighten up the mood.

"Hey Nora," said Barry. Both Nora and Iris turned to look at Barry. "I was reading a book about Helium the other day but I couldn't put it down," he said😆.

"What?" asked Iris confused.

"Really dad" Nora groaned "Those jokes are so cheesy and lame," she snorted at Barry's lame joke.

"Well," said Barry "I make bad chemistry jokes because all the good ones Argon"

Iris looked at Barry like he was crazy making Nora laugh at her reaction😂. Once her laughter died down she smiled remembering how he used to annoy her with them when she was little. Soon they arrived at their destination. Iris knocked on the door and waited for it to open. Joe opened the door and smiled at the three of them. "Your here," he said smiling.

"Yup" replied Barry "and we brought treats," he said showing Joe the box of pastries they bought for him and Cecile.

"Well come in," said Joe making room for them to come in. They then began to enter the house taking off the coats and hanging it on the coat rack. Cecile sat on the couch holding her baby girl Jenna Marie West in her arms.

"Awwh," said both Iris and Nora squealing at the cute little baby.

"Isn't she cute?" asked Cecile.

"Yeah she really is," said Iris making Nora flinch. She remembered Caitlin saying that back in 2033 and in her dream. She tried to relax hoping that no one saw that she flinched, likely no one did.

"Can I hold her?" asked Iris.

"Sure" replied Cecile handing over her baby girl to Iris who was seated right beside her, "I'm a bit hungry so I'm going to eat if you don't mind," she said standing up.

"Oh hun," said Joe to Cecile "Barry bought some pastries from Jitters, there on the table in the kitchen if you want some"

"Oh, yum" replied Cecile heading towards the box of pastries making Barry laugh at her eagerness for food. Joe and Barry began to talk in the dining room leaving Iris and Nora with the baby.

"Isn't she so cute?" Iris asked her daughter.

"Yeah, she is" replied Nora smiling at the baby. The baby was so small that she reminded her of the baby twins from her dream. "Can I hold her?" she asked Iris.

"Yeah," said Iris gently placing Jenna in Nora's arm. Nora cradled the baby and began to move her back and forth in her arms. The baby smiled fondly at Nora. "She likes you" replied Iris.

"Yeah, I guess she does," said Nora.

"Hey, Iris" Cecile called out "Could you help me out here, please?" she asked from the kitchen.

"Sure," said Iris heading towards the kitchen. While Iris was gone Nora carefully stood up and placed the baby so that she was leaning her head on Nora's shoulder. Nora's turned her back to the window and smiled as she watched Barry talking to Joe in the dining room. While her back was turned, a person in a black trench coat and sunglasses (the same person from Jitters) creped up and stood right outside the window. He peered through the window with his eyes fixing intently on Nora as he observed what she was doing. "Well what do we have here," he asked himself. Jenna began to move a little in Nora's arm, she placed her tiny little hands on either side of Nora's face and pointed to something behind her smiling and laughing. Nora instantly froze and felt a slight chill run down her spine like someone was watching her. Slowly, she turned her head and looked behind her and saw....nothing. She let out a shaky breathe of air just as everyone entered the living room.

"We have to go," said Barry "They need us at Star Labs"

"Ok," said Nora handing over Jenna to Cecile. And in a flash of purple and yellow lighting, Barry, Iris, and Nora were gone. The same person from Jitters stood behind a nearby tree and watched as the two streaks of lighting disappeared into the city.

"You can run Nora," he said "But you can't hide" and then he too was gone in a flash of yellow and blue lighting.
