CAITLIN'S APARTMENT

7:00 pm

Walking into her apartment Caitlin set her keys down by the counter as Henry locked the front door.

"Henry," said Caitlin turning around to face her son. "Can I ask you a question?" Asked Caitlin fiddling with her fingers nervously.

"Sure," replied Henry looking at her. "What's up?" asked Henry taking a seat on the couch.

"When Nora first saw you, she said you were supposed to be dead," began Caitlin sitting down on the couch opposite to him. "Why did Nora think you were dead?" Asked Caitlin looking at Henry for answers.

Staring into the distance, Henry was taken back to another time.........

*FLASHBACK-Christmas day,2040*

CORTEX

1:00 pm

"Hey, mom. It's me. I just came by to see how you were doing. I'm doing fine if you were wondering. Each day is getting better with the help of Team Flash and my friends," informed a 17-year-old Henry who sat by his mother's hospital bedside holding onto her hand [Henry was actually 16 when Nora attacked Caitlin. I got my math wrong].

It had been exactly 36 days since Nora had attacked Caitlin, putting her into a fatal coma. Henry had been blaming himself for her state since day one believing that if he were only fast enough, he could have prevented the inevitable from ever happening.

"Dad and I took the twins out ice skating yesterday. They're doing better than the last time we went ice skating together. They finally mastered the art of ice skating. I taught Dawn how to do a pirouette, while Dad taught Don how to make a figure 8. You should have seen their faces. They were so excited to be back on the ice," smiled Henry at the thought of it.

"I showed the twins some of the cool tricks I could do on the ice. Dad also tried showing off too. He did a triple flip in the air, the twins were in awe until he skated right into a pole. You should have seen it. It was hilarious," said Henry laughing lightly.

Recovering back from his laughter, Henry stared at his mother's lifeless body lying on the hospital bed. The only sound in the Cortex was the one coming from Caitlin's heart monitor that was attached to her chest. Sitting still, Henry felt like the deafening silence was engulfing him.

"The twins miss you a lot. They ask about you every single day. Dad misses you. He tries to act strong for us, but on the inside, you can see that he's secretly falling apart," Henry told his mother staring down at her.

"I miss you too. So much," said Henry gripping onto her hands tightly. "I miss your smile, your laugh, your amazing doe brown eyes," recalled Henry smiling at the memories.

"There is nothing in this world that I wouldn't give up just to see you smile again. My Nobel peace prize, my powers, my life," Henry said staring at his mother lovingly.

"I would do anything for you mom. Anything," proclaimed Henry with tears shimmering in his eyes. "I would do anything just to hear your voice one last time," said Henry with tears streaming down his face.

"Please, mom. Just wake up. I-I need you," said Henry breaking down as he cried his eyes out. Taking in deep breaths, Henry tried to control his breathing as he wiped away the rest of his tears. Suddenly the alarm started going off in the Cortex pulling Henry away from his mother. Walking over towards the computer screen Henry noted that there was an electrical surge at the power plant. Sighing Henry made his way back towards his mother's bedside.

"I'll be back mom. I love you," said Henry kissing her forehead before flashing to the scene.

POWER PLANT

"Are you sure this is going to work?" asked Nora looking down at the giant bazooka she held in her hands as she turned towards her partner.

"Positive," replied the person coming out of the shadows.

"Once we have this device up and running we will be able to open a time portal where we can finally escape from this living hell," said the Reverse Flash [The Reverse Flash wants to run back in time but is not fast enough to open a time portal because of a confrontation with The Flash where he lost some of his speed. So, Nora and Thawne created a device that can do that for them. Nora can't open portals, yet].

"Is it safe?" asked Nora nervously.

Laughing at her comment Thawne turned towards her. "Since when did you care?" he asked looking at Nora who stood there speechless. "Now get to work," ordered Thawne.

Nodding her head Nora began to get to work. Attaching the electrical wires to the device, the device began to absorb the electricity, coming to life. Once the device was fully charged, Nora turned on a switch allowing the device to emit out energy, creating a portal. Looking at the portal Thawne smiled in satisfaction.

PARALLEL

POWER PLANT

1: 15 pm

Running towards the scene Henry saw a giant blue portal in the middle of the electrical power plant.

"What the hell?" replied Henry speeding towards it to get a closer look.

Standing a few feet away from the open portal Henry saw a figure standing in front of it. Squinting his eyes, Henry recognized the figure as Eobard Thawne.

Smiling, Thawne was about to enter the portal when he was brutally thrown back into an electrical pole at super speed.

"Not so fast Thawne," growled Henry looking at the speedster.

Standing up on shaky legs Thawne looked at the person to see Absolute Zero standing in front of him.

"Well, if it isn't Flash's son," Thawne said causing Nora to cowardly hide behind an electrical box seeing her brother standing there.

"Come to save the day like your father?" Asked Thawne spitting out the blood in his mouth.

"How is your mother by the way, hmm?" Asked Thawne smirking [Thawne was the one who told Nora that Caitlin informed Iris about the Badger Gang].

"Go to hell!!" Growled Henry enraged.

"Oh, someone's touchy," Thawne said with a smirk playing on his face.

"I'm not here for a chit chat," said Henry getting to the point. "So why don't you shut the fuck up so we can get this over with," Henry continues getting into fighting stance.

Strapping on his mask Thawne looked at Henry.

"Let's go, hero," spat Thawne as the speedsters began to battle. Running around the electrical plant at remarkable speeds, the speedsters threw punches and kicks at each other.

1:20 pm

CCPD

"So how's your wife doing, Allen?" asked Captain Singh looking at Barry as they walked out of CCPD.

"She's still in a comatose state," breathed out Barry looking down.

"She's a strong woman, Allen," said Singh placing a comforting hand on Barry's shoulder. "She'll pull through this, just give it time," Captain Singh told him looking into Barry's eyes.

"Yeah," said Barry wiping away a lone tear as he thought about his wife.

"If you need some time off from work please take it," Singh said concerned for Barry's health.

"No, it's ok," stated Barry. "I'm fine," said Barry as his phone started to vibrate. Fishing it out, Henry noted that there was an electrical surge at the power plant.

"I got to go," said Barry turning towards Singh. "See you tomorrow," Barry called out waving Singh goodbye before walking into an alleyway. Looking both ways Barry made sure the coast was clear before flashing away to the scene.

1:25 pm

POWER PLANT

Grabbing Henry by the collar of his suit, the Reverse Flash began to punch Henry in the face. Pinning him against the wall by the neck, Henry started to struggle in the grips of the speedster.

"You think your faster than me now kid, huh. You have no idea what's coming. First I'm gonna kill you, then I'll kill your mother, the twins, and last but not least your father. I always win Absolute Zero!" yelled Thawne holding a vibrating hand to Henry's chest.

Just as Thawne was about to plunge his vibrating hand into Henry's chest he was brutally thrown back at super speed for the second time that day.

"Stay the hell away from my son, Thawne," growled Barry standing in his super suit.

"You want to kill him, you're gonna have to get through me first," glared Barry.

"You really think you're fast enough to stop me?" Laughed Thawne looking at him.

"Well let's find out," replied Barry tilting his head to the side.

"Catch Me If You Can, Flash," said the Reverse Flash as he sped off with Barry following close after him.

Grabbing the Reverse Flash by the collar of his suit, Barry pinned him against a wall. "You're not fast enough Thawne. You will never hurt my family or anyone I love again!" Yelled Barry punching Thawne at super speed.

Breathing in heavily, Henry tried to catch his breath. Looking around Henry noticed a figure creeping up towards the portal. Looking at the person's familiar white and purple suit Henry realized who it was.

"Nora," breathed out Henry looking at her in shock.

Hearing her name being called Nora turned towards the person.

"How could you?" Asked Henry staring at her in disbelief. "How could you side with a monster like that!" yelled Henry referring to Eobard as he stood up.

"The only monster I know is your mother," replied Nora looking at Henry emotionless (THIS BITCH😡..ok sorry 🙌  carry on).

Gritting his teeth Henry charged at her. Together, the two speedsters began to fight around the electrical plant, leaving behind a trail of lighting in their wake. Channeling his inner frost Henry used it as a boost to catch up to Nora. Grabbing her by the collar of her suit, Henry pinned her against a metal fence.

"That's for my mother," Henry hissed punching her square in the jaw making her head turn swiftly to the side.

"This is for the twins," said Henry punching again making her lips bleed.

PARALLEL

Kicking Flash in the leg, Barry dropped to the ground in pain. Grabbing a metal rod nearby Thawne swung it in the back of Barry's head knocking him out. Dropping the metal rod Thawne flashed away from the scene.

"And this," said Henry breathing heavily as he held Nora by the collar of her suit. "This is for me," said Henry raising his fist up in the air. Channeling the speed force, lighting began to encase Henry's arm.

Lifting his arms up in the air, Henry was about to throw a powerful punch at Nora but was viciously thrown back in an electrical box at super speed. Standing protectively in front of Nora was the Reverse Flash.

"Run Nora!" yelled Thawne running into the blue portal that was beginning to close.

Gathering herself together Nora began to stand up on shaky legs. Henry tried to rapidly blink away the stars he was seeing. Gathering his bearings Henry saw Nora standing up in the distance.

"No," groaned Henry standing up with the little energy he had left. He wasn't gonna let her get away this time.

Hearing a person's voice behind her, Nora turned around to see Henry standing up. Looking at him with wide eyes, Nora began to run towards the closing blue swirling portal.

"Nooooo!" screamed Henry running faster. Running towards the portal Nora jumped into it. Fingers only centimeters away, Henry reached to grab Nora but the portal had already closed with a swoosh sending him flying across the power plant.

Being thrown into some power lines, Henry was shocked, currents of electricity danced across his fallen body. Breathing in heavily, Henry watched as the blast from the portal began to travel up towards the sky. Circling over Central City, the aftershock of the blast formed into a singularity.

"What the hell?" Henry gasp looking up at the sky.

Standing up on shaky legs, Barry held onto his head as he looked up at the sky, standing by his son.

"Cisco, what's going on?" asked Barry through the comms.

"The blast that Thawne and Nora created when they disappeared seemed to have created a singularity," Cisco answered.

"What's a singularity?" asked Ralph looking at the screen confused.

"It's basically like a tornado, only upside down...and bigger....and scarier," answered Cisco looking at the footage of the singularity on the news. Standing in the background, Harry glared at Ralph for his terrible timing in asking dumb questions.

"How can we stop it?" Asked Henry on his comms.

"Well the last time a singularity had formed we had Firestorm disrupt the motion by separating in the eye of it," replied Joe.

"Cisco, do you think you can get a hold of Jax in time?" asked Barry worriedly. Closing his eyes, Henry already knew the answer to it. He knew that there was only one possible way to stop the singularity, and he knew his father was not gonna like it.

"I'm afraid not. Jax is somewhere traveling through time with the Legends. By the time we get a hold of him, the earth would be gone," said Cisco.

"Then I guess there's only one way we can do this," sighed Barry. "I have to run around it in the opposite direction," Barry continued looking at the growing singularity.

"Barry, this event has an energy level of 6.7 terra electron volts. Your body won't be able to handle that amount of energy. You will die," said Harry trying to reason with him.

"I have to try," said Barry looking at the singularity. Taking a step forward Barry stood in a starting position ready to run in the eye of the singularity.

"No, you don't," Henry said throwing a pair of magnetic power-dampening cuffs on Barry's arms and legs.

"What the," Barry gasped looking down at his arms and legs in shock. "Henry this isn't funny, ok. Take these off," Barry frowned at his son.

"I can't do that dad," replied Henry shaking his head.

"Please, son," begged Barry looking at him. "Just let me out of these so I can do my job," pleaded Barry.

"I'm sorry dad," said Henry taking a step back. "But I can't let you sacrifice yourself for the city. The twins need you here, mom needs you here," Henry told his father.

"This city needs you," said Henry taking in a breath. "But they don't need me," said Henry trying to prove to Barry that he had to be the one to do this.

"No," Barry shakes his head back and forth with tears in his eyes. "You're wrong, ok, I need you," Barry begged looking at Henry in the eyes.

"I need you, Henry," said Barry, his voice cracking at the end. "And I'm not just gonna sit back and watch as my son dies in front of my eyes!" yelled Barry with tears streaming down his face.

"I just lost your mother, ok. I can't lose you too," said Barry with his voice cracking at the end as he looked at his son who had tears in his eyes as well😢.

"I'm sorry, dad," said Henry with a tear falling down his face. "But I have to do this," Henry continued taking a step back from his father before flashing away.

"HENRY!!" Yelled Barry watching as his son ran up into the singularity. With each step Henry took Barry's heart started to beat faster. Running around the rim of the singularity, Henry began to push himself faster.

"Henry," Barry called tapping onto his comms. "Please come back down here, please," pleaded Barry with endless tears rolling down his face. "We can work this out, ok. No one has to die today," begged Barry with his voice breaking.

"There's not enough time dad. If I don't do this the singularity won't stop until the earth is gone," breathed out Henry heavily. Pushing himself faster, Henry began to channel his inner frost.

"I'm not sure how much longer I can last," said Henry running out of breath. "Dad if I don't make it out please tell the twins that I love them," replied Henry.

"No! Don't say that Henry," said Barry shaking his head. "Your gonna make it out of this," prayed Barry with tears in his eyes.

"Dad. I'm sorry for all the horrible things I said to you. But I want you to know that you have been the best father anyone could possibly ask for. And I love you, dad," replied Henry with tears in his eyes.

"Henry," croaked out Barry with tears obscuring his vision.

"Please tell mom that I love her," said Henry with a tear falling down his face. Running with all his might Henry pushed himself to run faster. He needed to create his own pulse to counteract the singularity. With each step he took running around the rim of the singularity, Henry felt the life in him draining out. His body felt like it was on fire, burning through his suit and into his skin. Overcome with immense pain, Henry began to cry out in pain.

"Henry!" yelled Barry hearing his son cry out in immense pain.

Increasing his speed Henry's body began to disintegrate, overcome by the amount of power he was using. The energy of his speed created a blast destroying the once active singularity almost instantly.

"Henry!!!!!!!!" cried out Barry dropping to his knees. Slowly a piece of Henry's suit floated from the air above landing next to Barry. Grabbing the piece of article, Barry clutched onto it crying his eyes out at the loss of his son.
