STAR LABS

Returning from his mission, Henry made his way towards one of the laboratories at Star Labs. He had one more meta to take down, Slime Monster.

Sitting down on one of the stools Henry began to get to work. Making notes, Henry came up with a web fluid that would act as a strong base against the corrosive slime. Mixing up the different chemicals Henry began to concoct his product.

Smiling triumphantly at his creation, Henry felt a set of eyes watching him. Turning around Henry was meet with the beautiful eyes of his mother.

"Hey," Henry said looking at her.

"Hi," smiled Caitlin walking over towards him. "Whatcha doing?" asked Caitlin looking at the different notes he had splayed on the table.

"Making some web fluid that I can use against Slime monster," replied Henry looking up at his mother.

"Oh, cool!" exclaimed Caitlin looking at the web fluid through the test tube. "Do you need any help?" she asked looking at her son. She had just finished helping Cisco and Harry, so she was free.

"Yeah. I could always use an extra set of hands," smiled Henry grateful for her help.

Smiling back at him, Caitlin took a seat opposite of her son helping him to make some web fluid.

4:30 pm

Finishing up the last bottle of web fluid Henry needed, Caitlin looked at her son admiring him.

Awwh, he looks like a mini Barry Allen, thought Caitlin looking at her son.

"Thanks for the help mom," Henry said looking up at her.

"It was no problem," assured Caitlin. "It was actually quite fun," smiled Caitlin looking at her son.

"Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it," replied Henry returning the smile. "Now I just got to find some way to distribute this web fluid," mumbled Henry to himself.

"You know, I could help you with that," suggested Caitlin as Henry raises an eyebrow at her. "I mean, I'm not that advanced as Cisco, but I think I've learned a couple of things over the years. And I'm sure I can help you with this," replied Caitlin confidently.

"Ok," said Henry nodding his head as he took her up on the offer.

5:30 pm

"I call it the web shooter!" replied Caitlin holding up her finished product.

"The web shooter will allow you to shoot your webs at a far distance. Making it convenient and easier for you since you won't have to get too close to Slime monster," said Caitlin smiling proudly.

Looking at the web shooter, Henry admired the detail of the tech. He had to admit, it was very well put together for someone who didn't have a background in mechanical engineering.

"Try it out," encouraged Caitlin looking at him.

Picking up a cartridge of the web fluid, Henry slid it into the web shooter. Taking a step back Henry aimed the web shooter at one of the target board they had lying around.

PARALLEL

"It worked," smiled Caitlin looking at the device she created.

"Oh, man. This is so cool!" exclaimed Henry geeking out as he admired the device strapped onto his wrist.

"And now, thanks to the web shooter, you will be able to take down Slime monster," smirked Caitlin looking at her son.

"You're a genius mom," replied Henry looking at her. "Thank you," exclaimed Henry embracing her in a hug which she gladly returned.

Suddenly, Henry's futuristic tech bracelet started going off on the counter nearby. Pulling away from the hug Henry walked over towards it. Typing something onto the device, the futuristic tech projected the location of something.

"Gideon found the location of Slime Monster," informed Henry before flashing away making Caitlin's hair fly back.

Sighing heavily, Caitlin looked down at the floor knowing Henry had left for his mission. Returning back a second later in his super suit, Henry stood in front of his mother with a smirk on his face.

"You mind being my eyes and ears," asked Henry holding out an earpiece for her.

"I thought you'd never ask," beamed Caitlin accepting the earpiece.

"Wish me luck," winked Henry before he was gone in a flash.

Smiling happily Caitlin strapped the earpiece to her ear before making her way to the Cortex.

5:40 pm

CORTEX

Walking into the Cortex, Caitlin noticed that it was empty. Glancing at the time, Caitlin noticed that it was past 5 meaning Cisco and Harry went home. Pulling up a chair, Caitlin began to type on the computer.

"Ok, mom. I'm gonna need you to pull up the CCTV footage on 1113 Glenridge road," said Henry in Caitlin's ear.

Typing frantically on the computer, Caitlin pulled up the footage. "Got it," replied Caitlin.

"Great," said Henry stopping outside of the facility, "I'm gonna need you to-"

"Pull up the blueprints of the building," replied Caitlin ending his sentence. "I'm already one step ahead of you," said Caitlin with a smirk.

Smiling to himself, Henry flashed into the building. Hiding behind a set of crates Henry lightly tapped his ears.

"What have you got for me?" asked Henry.

"Well, lucky for you the building is completely empty, except for one heat signature coming from the second floor," informed Caitlin.

"Slime Monster," growled Henry flashing to the second floor.

"Where is she?" asked Henry looking around the room.

"Keep walking, straight down this hall, she should be on your left, near the safes," answered Caitlin. "Be careful, and remember, don't let her touch you," warned Caitlin.

"Got it," replied Henry slowly creeping down the hallway. Making a left, Henry spotted Slime Monster trying to fill her bag with as much cash as she could.

Corrosive acid was oozing all around her, creating holes into the floor. Henry shuttered at the thought of the corrosive acid burning through his skin. Slime Monster was more focused on filling up her bags to notice Henry standing there in his super suit. Taking this as his cue, Henry decided to make his presence known.

"Need some help," smirked Henry behind his mask.

PARALLEL

Turning around, Slime Monster was met with a person clad in black leaning against a wall.

"I heard Iron Heights got a great support program for criminals like you," Henry taunted.

Fuming with anger, Slime Monster raised her hand in the air shooting an acid fireball at Henry. Seeing the attack coming, Henry flashed across the room hiding behind a pillar. Turning around, Slime monster shot an acid fireball at Henry again making him run away. Flashing around the room, Henry tried avoiding the oncoming corrosive fireball directed at him. Firing her acid fireball in different directions, Slime Monster hit the security camera disrupting Caitlin's view of the scene.

"Um, Henry. What's going on?" asked Caitlin trying to recover the footage.

"I think I made her angrier," exclaimed Henry barely avoiding another fireball.

"Dammit!" cursed Caitlin looking at the computer screen that said the signal was lost. "Slime Monster knocked out the camera. I won't be able to see what's going on," said Caitlin.

"That's just great," replied Henry sarcastically before he was brutally thrown across the room by a fireball.

"Henry!" cried out Caitlin looking at his vitals that had spiked. "Are you ok?" asked Caitlin concerned.

"I'm fine," groaned Henry standing up. "She just caught me by surprise," answered Henry avoiding another fireball. Lucky for him, the Nth metal in his suit helped block some of the acid from penetrating through.

"Just focus, ok, Henry. I believe in you. You can do this," said Caitlin whispering some words of wisdom.

With his back against a pillar, Henry breathed in heavily taking in the encouraging words of his mother. I can do this, thought Henry.

Jumping into action, Henry began to run around Slime Monster. Being engulfed in a swirl of lighting, Slime Monster began to shoot her slime fireballs wildly trying to hit the speedster. Running around her faster, Henry threw a lightning bolt at Slime Monster sending her flying into a box of crates, creating a loud bang.

Standing up with shaky legs, Slime Monster raised her arm aiming at Pursuit. In a quick motion, Henry combated her action, raising his arm and coating her hands in spider webs.

PARALLEL

Looking down at her hands in shock, Henry flashed towards Slime Monster cuffing her hands before breathing out a sigh in relief.

"Henry," replied Caitlin gripping the edge of her seat worriedly. She had just heard a loud bang and wanted to know if her son was safe.

PARALLEL

"I'm ok," replied Henry allowing Caitlin to breathe out a sigh in relief. "We got her," smiled Henry looking down at Slime monster. "I'm bringing her in," informed Henry grabbing Slime monster's hand.

"Ok, I'll see you then," replied Caitlin hearing a familiar swoosh on the end of the line.

5:50 pm

Cortex

"We did it!" exclaimed Henry embracing his mother in a hug, lifting her off her feet making Caitlin giggle. "That was the last metahuman I had to take down," said Henry beaming up at her as he set her down on the floor looking into her eyes.

"We should celebrate," replied Henry smiling. "What are you craving right now?" asked Henry looking at her. Opening her mouth to reply Henry interrupted his mother. "You know what, I'll surprise you," said Henry bouncing up and down on his heels.

"I'll be right back. See you in a Flash," said Henry kissing her cheek before flashing out of the Cortex excitedly.

Smiling to herself, Caitlin shook her head fondly at how excited her son was. Waiting for Henry to return, Caitlin bit her bottom lip as she thought about what Henry might have went to get. Watching her from the shadow, a mysterious figure made their way towards Caitlin seeing as she was finally alone, and without the speedster.

Hearing some footsteps approaching her, Caitlin turned around with a smile on her face. "You weren't kidding when you said you'd be back in a fla-," said Caitlin stopping mid-sentence once seeing who the person was standing in front of her.

"Nora," breathed out Caitlin staring at the former speedster.

"Hello, Katie," replied Nora standing by the doorway to the Cortex.
