THE NEXT DAY-STAR LABS

Everyone was in the speed lab ready to watch Nora run around the track, well except for Joe and Cecile. Joe was at the precinct so couldn't make it in time to see his future granddaughter, while Cecile was at home taking care of their baby.

"Hey Nora" Ralph piped up before she could begin running, "Remember how you told us yesterday how you were a 20-year-old stuck in a 37-year-old body? How exactly is that possible?" he asked wanting to know.

"Well you know how I told you that I have super growth due to my super speed?" she asked everyone, who just nodded their heads. "Well when I was born the next day, Mom and Dad almost had a heart attack because when they came into my room to get me, I was already 5 years old"

"WOW," said Ralph astonished of how fast this baby grew.

"Yeah. They then brought me here to Star Labs to do some tests to see if they can find a way to stop the aging. It took about a week to find a cure, and by then I was already 17-years-old." ended Nora.

Everyone was shocked by the new scientific discovery since it was the impossible. But who are they kidding?? The impossible is just another Tuesday for them. Slowly they began to get over their state of shock just in time as Nora began to run around the track.

"WOW, you go girl!" exclaimed Iris as she watched her daughter run around the speed lab. "how fast is she going?" she asked Cisco who was watching her speed level.

"About the same speed as Wally when he first got his powers" replied Cisco.

"That fast," said Caitlin amazed.

"Yeah, that fast" confirmed Harry.

In a flash of purple and yellow lighting, Nora appeared before them. "How was that?" she asked breathlessly as Barry handed her a bottle of water to drink.

"Not bad" Barry replied.

"Way to go Nora!" cheered Cisco.

"Thanks" Nora nodded her head in his direction.

"Well your vitals seem to be great" Caitlin pointed out. "But I just want to do some further testing to make sure that you're in perfect health" she then added.

At the thought of Caitlin being here, Nora began to bubble with hatred. "OK " Nora replied through gritted teeth's. "What kind of test are we taking?"

"Just a blood test" Caitlin replied nonchalantly.

Just a blood test, Nora thought, it shouldn't be that hard, right? ......wrong

As Caitlin began to prepare for the blood test by getting the needle she was going to use, Nora couldn't help but think of the many ways she could use that needle to hurt Caitlin😈💉. She felt a smirk creeping up on her face and quickly diminished those thoughts. She couldn't afford to blow her cover. Caitlin then called Nora over once she was finished preparing the equipment's to be used. Nora slowly proceeded her way over to the one person she despised the most.

Nora sat down on the medical bay as Caitlin began to prepare the needle. There was a bit of a tension between the two woman's, so Caitlin began to start up a conversation to get to know the new speedster better.

"So Nora," Caitlin began "how are you feeling?"

"Good" Nora replied a bit annoyed that she was stuck talking to the beloved doctor. The rest of the gang was busy talking among themselves to even pay attention to what the two girls were doing.

"That's good to here" Caitlin smiled kindly at the girl. She really wanted to get to know Nora but she seemed to always be a little distant with her. Caitlin couldn't help but feel like it was somewhat her fault somehow. That she must have done something wrong in the future to cause the young girl to be so cold towards her. (Boy was she wrong)

"What was it like from where you're from?" Caitlin asked.

"It was perfect actually" lied Nora "Me, Mom, and Dad were one happy family. We were the ultimate crime-fighting family in history. Dad and I would fight crime together. He really is my hero...who I look up to." She wanted Caitlin to feel hurt and that she doesn't have a chance at happiness, she doesn't want what happened in her time to come true.

"That must have been nice" Caitlin replied a bit sadly. "But you were right about Barry being a hero. He truly is a real hero. He protects this city in so many ways. He is so selfless. It's no wonder so many young children look up to him. He really loves this city......." Caitlin continued happily at the thought of Barry and all the lives he has saved.

While Caitlin was ranting about Barry's heroism she carefully poked Nora a bit with the needle taking in the amount of blood she needed for her test. While Caitlin was talking Nora was lost in thoughts. Her mind slowly shifted to the future and she thought about future Caitlin. She hated her so much. She blamed her for what happened and wanted her to suffer the way she did.

Slowly the anger and hatred were beginning to bubble inside of her boiling her blood. She wanted to hurt Caitlin, she wanted to...KILL HER. And so right there and then in a swift motion, Nora grabbed a nearby scalpel and swung the blade towards Caitlin's face. Caitlin felt as the sharp blade made an impact with her cheeks creating a scratch to appear. She doubled over at the sudden movement but managed to keep her balance. Nora then jumped off the medical bay with nothing but rage in her eyes. Her eyes slowly began to crackle with purple and yellow lighting as the focused on Caitlin. Caitlin felt a sense of panic rise inside of her and slowly began to back away from the angry speedster.

"Nora.....please don't do this....you don't have to hurt me" Caitlin begged with her voice cracking at the end. The sound of her voice broke the gang from their conversation, and they watched as the scene unfolded.

Nora lets out a maniacal laugh. "Ohhh..." she began "I'm not gonna hurt you" she replied innocently. "I'm just gonna make you suffer😈" she replied sending a chill down everyone's spine. And with that, she lunged herself at Caitlin swing the blade towards her. Caitlin managed to dodge the blade the first time but was not fast enough to dodge it the second time when she swung it back at super speed slashing Caitlin's shoulder. Caitlin winched at the sudden pain and clutched her shoulder with her hand trying to stop the bleeding. She was then thrown backward hitting her back with the brick wall when Nora super speeded and pushed her. Caitlin groaned trying to stand up but was too weak to get up due to not having her fast healing anymore. Nora then flashed in front of Caitlin with the scalpel raised in her hand. She smiles evilly seeing Caitlin in pain. "Goodbye Caitlin," she said raising her arm ready to stab the doctor in the heart. As Nora swung her arm aiming for Caitlin's chest, a red figure appeared in a gust of wind throwing her across the room. Nora vision blurred a bit but once she gained focus she saw Barry in his Flash suit standing in front of a wounded Caitlin.

Everyone was looking at Nora in fear at what she did to Caitlin. Slowly Nora's mind began to focus and she released what she did. She thought she was just imagining it, not knowing that she was actually doing it in real life. She had to think of something and...FAST.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" Barry said angrily to his daughter. "ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL HER?!"

"No...I just spaced out and was....thinking about something...........when I got this vision in my head.....and next thing you know...I was being mind controlled" she said blaming her actions on the mind control shenanigan.

"Please you have to believe me......." she begged "I would never do anything to hurt anyone......Especially Caitlin" she lied through gritted teeth's. She then began to cry a bit hoping by giving a little water works that they will pity her. Somehow it worked and Iris was the first to show sympathy for her daughter.

"Oh it's ok" Iris began to comfort her daughter. "We know that wasn't you." Nora began to fake a sniffle when Iris wrapped her arm around her.

"Cisco!" Barry called out to his friend.

Cisco, Harry, and Ralph were still shocked. But when Cisco heard Barry calling his name he quickly snapped out of it. "Yeah?" he replied back a little shanked up.

"Can you please take Nora to the Cortex and examine her. Make sure she's still not being mind controlled," said Barry.

"Ugh.....yeah" Cisco replied nervously with a smile "I'll get right to that". He began to walk towards the little demon 😈😂(Nora) as he put's it, who is with Iris. He faked a smile towards her once she faced him. "Come on-" Cisco said directing her out of the speed lab "right this way". As Iris, Cisco, and Nora made there way out, Barry then turned towards Caitlin who was injured.

"Are you ok, Cait?" he asked concerned for her.

"Yeah I'm fine" she groaned getting up. Her whole body was hurting. "Nothing a little medication can't fix," she said laughing it off once she was on her feet.

"Are you sure you should be standing?" Barry asked a bit worriedly, "I mean you did take quite a hit when she threw you across the room."

"I'm fine" she confirmed brushing off the dust on her pants. "See," she said standing and beginning to walk, "I am perfectly fi-" losing her balance Caitlin began to fall. But before her face could hit the floor two strong arms were wrapped around her waist. Caitlin looked up to be met with two sea-green eyes looking intently at her. She felt her heart begin to speed up and a blush slowly creeping upon her face.🤗😚

"You were saying," Barry said with a smirk on his face as he helped Caitlin up. Caitlin laughed nervously still in Barry's arms. "Come on, let me help you," he said swooping down to carry her. Caitlin latched onto Barry's neck as he picked her up bridal style, carrying her towards the benches were Ralph and Harry were at normal sped. He slowly put her down and then super speeded over to get the first aid kit. Once he got it he began to carefully patch up her wounds like she would do for him.

"Are you ok Snow?" asked Harry worried about his friend.

"I'm fine Harry" she assured him as Barry dabbed the wound on her cheek. She slightly winced when Barry put a little to much pressure on the slash.

"Sorry" Barry replied.

"It's ok," Caitlin told him. "Now I know how you feel," she said laughing a bit causing everyone else to laugh at her comment. "Thank you," she told Barry once he was done.

"It was nothing, really," replied Barry. "I'm sorry about what Nora did. She claims she was being mind controlled" said Barry a bit confused about how this could have happened.

"It's ok Barry" Caitlin assured him, "I'm sure she didn't mean it," she said trying to convince herself and him. Right after Nora, Iris, and Cisco walked back into the room.

"She's perfectly fine" replied Cisco, "I guess that mind control thing only lasted for a couple of minutes".

"Remind me never to get on her bad side," Ralph said towards Harry who just scowled him.😂

"I'm sorry Caitlin" Nora lied through her teeth.

"It's ok, I forgive you," Caitlin said to Nora, "Believe me, I know first hand what mind controlling is like" she winced at the thought of Grood mind controlling her.

"Yeah" Nora agreed even though she felt no remorse for what she did to the good doctor. Nora then began to fake a yawn saying she was tired. Barry agreed that they have all done enough for one day and should go home to rest. Barry helped take Caitlin home due to her injuries and made sure that she was comfortable before he left. While they were gone Nora couldn't help but feel the jealousy rising inside of her at the thought of Caitlin being with Barry, but once he returned it just faded away. Together Barry, Iris, and Nora made their way home.

BARRY"S AND IRIS'S APT.

"Home sweet home" Iris said as they arrived. Nora then lets out a breath of air glad to be back home. She missed this place, it reminded her of her home in the future, well almost...

*FLASHBACK June 30, 2033*

"Hey mom, I'm home," said a happy cheerful 30-year old Nora who just got back home from visiting her dad. (13-year-old stuck in a 30-year-old body)

"Hey, baby girl" Iris called out to her daughter, "How was it?" she asked from the kitchen as she was making dinner.

"Good. Henry and I were playing tag in the backyard with dad. I don't know how this kid can beat me in a simple game of tag, even though he's younger than me?!" Nora complained.

Iris laughed lightly at her daughter, "Well that's Henry for you. He's something special like his father, isn't he?" she commented lightly.

"Yeah.................oh, I also got to hold Dawn and Don today," she said squealing, "They're so cute!!"

"They are aren't they?" said Iris smiling a the thought of the twins, "How's Caitlin?" Iris asked .....

"Nora, Nora, NORRAAAA!!!" Iris screamed trying to get her daughter's attention, breaking her from her flashback.

"Huh?" Nora asked a bit startled.

"I said are you ok?" Iris asked again, "You kept staring at the wall for like 5 whole minutes," she said getting a bit worried. Barry then walked towards Nora worried about her too.

"OH..., no I'm fine....just.....thinking that's all," she said.

"About the future?" Barry asked.

"Ugh.......yeah........." she said starting to get a bit nervous that he suspected something.

"OH!" said Iris wanting to know more about the future, "What was it like?"

She then told them the exact same story (more like a lie) she told Caitlin this morning. Iris was ecstatic to hear about the wonderful life that Nora told her she will have with Barry. (cough, cough....lies). Barry was happy too, .......although deep down he felt like something was missing.
