CAITLIN'S APARTMENT
November 7th, 2018
Waking up from a cold sweat Henry looked around taking in his surroundings. Breathing heavily, Henry noticed he was in the safe confinements of his mother's home.
Taking in shallow breaths Henry tried to calm his racing heartbeat. Glancing up at the clock above the wall, Henry noticed that it was 5 am in the morning. Running a hand across his face, Henry sat up on the sofa bed throwing his legs onto the floor.
It was just a dream, he told himself, just a dream.
Or more like a nightmare. Ever since Caitlin had fallen into a coma, Henry had been blaming himself for what had happened to her, suffering silently from PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
Deciding that he couldn't sleep anymore, Henry got up from the sofa bed. Maybe a little run will help clear my mind, he thought before disappearing in a flash of yellow and blue lighting.
------------------------------------
Returning back to Caitlin's apartment a couple of minutes later, Henry glanced up at the time to see it was 6 am. Knowing that his mother will be waking up soon, Henry decided to surprise her with breakfast.
------------------------------------
Caitlin was woken up by the sound of her alarm clock. Turning to the side, she went to shut it off, seeing that it was 7:30 am Caitlin stretched in her bed and noticed the amazing aroma of pancakes and bacon lingering in the air. Standing up on high alert, she grabbed her robe by her chair before following the scent of food.
------------------------------------
Walking into the kitchen, Caitlin was greeted by the sight of her son singing and dancing to Old Time Rock n Roll by Bob Seger. Watching as Henry began to flash around the room preparing the meal and dancing like no one was watching, Caitlin couldn't help but giggle at how carefree her son looked.
Similar to Barry
Hearing someone giggling behind him. Henry jumped in shock, stopping what he was doing, swirling around to see his mother watching him with a grin plastered on her face.
"Mom!" exclaimed Henry causing the pancake that he had flipped mid-air to fall onto the floor.
"Please, carry on," Caitlin laughed walking over towards the counter that stood between them, taking a seat on a stool. "Don't let me stop you," she said smiling as her son started to turn bright red.
"I-uh-I-was," said Henry stuttering from embarrassment. Clearing his throat, Henry looked around at the piles of food that he made. "I made you breakfast," replied Henry looking at his mother.
"I can see that," replied Caitlin nodding her head as she took in the mountain of food he made.
"There are pancakes, french toast, scrambled eggs just the way you like it, bacon, crepes, croissants, PB & J sandwiches, donuts, muffins, hash browns, and some fruit salad in the fridge," listed out Henry placing one of each item into a plate and sliding it across the counter over towards his mother.
"Thank you," replied Caitlin digging into the food.
"Your welcome," replied Henry picking up the pancake he made fall onto the floor and tossing it into the trash.
"Mhm," hummed Caitlin in approval. "This is really good," she replied eating more of the delicious pancake.
"Thanks," replied Henry looking back at her. "It was my mother's recipe," he said winking at her, causing Caitlin to laugh at his cockiness.
Walking over towards one of the kitchen cupboards, Henry took out another plate placing some food in it for him to eat. Together the mother and son began to eat in a comfortable silence until Caitlin spoke up.
"You know," replied Caitlin looking up at her son, "you didn't have to make breakfast, I would have made some for us when I woke up".
"I know," replied Henry looking back at his mother, "I just wanted to show you my appreciation for letting me stay here," he said in all honesty.
"Well thank you," replied Caitlin smiling back at her son.
"You are welcome," replied Henry digging into his food.
-------------------------------------
After finishing up the rest of their food, Caitlin went to go change her clothes while Henry washed the dishes. Drying his hands, Henry turned around to see his mother walking into the room fully dressed. "Alright you ready to go?" asked Caitlin looking at Henry.
Glancing down at his outfit that he was wearing (which was Barry's sweater and sweatpants), Henry looked back up at his mother. "I guess so," replied Henry smiling slightly.
"Oh right," replied Caitlin looking at her son's outfit. "I'll have to talk to Barry about that," she said before grabbing her purse as Henry grabbed a box of donuts.
"What's that?" inquired Caitlin looking at what was in her son's hands.
"Oh," replied Henry looking down at the box of treats he got from Jitters. "This is a little thank you gift for Team Flash," replied Henry smiling.
"Awww that's very sweet of you," replied Caitlin looking at her son.
"Thanks," said Henry before picking his mother up and running over to Star Labs.

CORTEX
Barry, Cisco, Harry, Joe, Ralph, Iris, and Nora stood in the middle of the Cortex waiting for Caitlin and her son. Glancing up at the clock on the wall, Barry noticed that it was 9:02 am. Knowing that Caitlin was never late, Barry started to get worried.
"Where could they be?" wondered Barry pacing around the Cortex. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew in the Cortex causing the sheets of paper to fly off the desk. Turning their heads to where the gust of wind had come from, the gang was met with a disheveled Caitlin who stood in the middle of the Cortex with a box of donuts in hand.
"Umm............, we bought donuts," replied Caitlin placing the box of donuts onto the desk.
"Oh, donuts!!" squealed Cisco digging into the box of treats.
"FOOD!" shouted Ralph snatching a donut out of Cisco's hand.
"Umm, Cait," replied Barry taking a step towards Caitlin. "Where's Henry?" asked Barry looking around for any signs of his son.
"He should be back soon," replied Caitlin knowing that her son would be back. As if on cue, Henry flashed into the Cortex placing a cup of coffee in everyone's hand.
"And drinks!" exclaimed Ralph taking a sip of the drink in his hand. "I think I'm in heaven," sighed Ralph at the warm feeling of the liquid making its way down his throat.
"Thanks for the coffee Henry," replied Harry speaking up for the group.
"Your welcome," replied Henry smiling.
"Um Henry," said Caitlin turning around to look at her son skeptically. "Where did you get the money to afford all of this?" she said gesturing to the drinks in their hands.
Swallowing the lump that began to form in his throat Henry turned around to face his mother. "I might have found it in the couch," replied Henry nervously.
"Might have," asked Caitlin raising an eyebrow.
"Fine, I found it at the bottom of the cookie jar," confessed Henry knowing that his mother still hid her money in the same place that she does in the future. "Please don't be mad," Henry continued looking down at the floor.
"Don't worry," replied Caitlin placing a hand on Henry's shoulder, knowing that he was just trying to be nice. "I'm not mad at you," she said reassuring her son.
"OK," said Cisco clapping his hands together getting everyone's attention. "Now that my future godson is here," said Cisco wiggling his eyebrows at both Barry and Caitlin causing them both to blush intently, "let's see how fast he can really go," replied Cisco beginning to walk out of the Cortex with the gang following after him.

Speed Lab
Returning back a minute later, Henry appeared in front of the group in his super suit. Placing her cup of coffee down, Caitlin began to help Henry get ready for his run. Strapping on some electrode pads onto Henry, Caitlin began to upload his vitals onto her iPad.
"You nervous?" asked Caitlin looking at her son.
"A bit," replied Henry laughing nervously while looking at everyone in the room.
"Don't be," replied Caitlin giving her son a reassuring smile. "Just try your best," she said before stepping aside allowing Barry to talk to his son.
"Remember to keep a good form out there, and keep your breathing in tune with your legs," said Barry trying to give his son some fatherly advice, who just nodded his head in response.
"Good luck son," said Barry pulling his son into a hug. "Thanks, dad," replied Henry hugging his father back.
"OK, step aside Speedy Jesus," replied Cisco pushing Barry out of the way, breaking the father and son moment. "Jeez, give the kid some space," said Cisco scowling at Barry.
"Alright, you ready kid?" asked Cisco turning his attention to his future nephew.
"As ready as I'll ever be," breathed out Henry looking at his Uncle.
Smiling at him, Cisco placed his hands on either side of Henry's shoulder, "Relax you got this. May the speed force be with you," Cisco said straight-faced, causing Henry to laugh.
PARALLEL
Putting on his mask, Henry turned to look at Harry. "Ready?" asked Henry looking at the prodigal child.
"Whenever you are," Harry said looking at the young man.
Getting into position, Henry started to take in deep breaths. Looking directly at the entrance to the speed lab track, Henry began to feel the familiar rush of the electricity from the speed force surging through his veins. Soon his eyes began to crackle with the familiar blue lighting that disappeared in a flash.
Similar to Barry
Gathering around the middle of the speed lab, everyone watched in awe as Henry's light-blue and yellow lighting began to dance along the glass doors of the speed lab track.
"Damn," breathed out Joe looking at his grandson go (Cecile is with baby Jenna in case you were wondering).
"How fast is he going?" asked Ralph mesmerized by Henry's lighting.
"Faster than Nora that's for sure," replied Cisco looking at the computer screen making Nora fume with anger.
"He's holding back," replied Harry causing everyone to turn around and look at him.
"What?" asked Barry walking over to where Harry stood.
"He's holding back," repeatedly Harry looking at the computer monitors over Cisco's shoulders. "See," said Harry gesturing to Henry's speed force output, "He's only using 3/4 of his speed, not his full potential," replied Harry as Cisco nodded his head in agreement.
"Hey-ah, Henry!" said Cisco talking to his nephew through the speakers surrounding the speed lab.
"Yeah," replied Henry answering back.
"I've noticed that you've been holding back, kid," said Cisco voicing the new found information. "Why don't you give it all you got," suggested Cisco wanting to see just how fast Henry could really go.
"I..ah, don't think that's a good idea, Uncle Cisco," said Henry voice wavering. "I don't think the glass doors of the speed lab track would be able to withstand my speed," said Henry truthfully.
"Oh, please," said Cisco pushing Henry's concerns to the side. "My baby can handle Barry going at Mach 3. I'm pretty sure they can handle your speed," he continued not believing Henry.
"Ok," replied Henry giving in. "But don't say I didn't warn you," said Henry before speeding up. Pushing himself faster, Henry began to channel his inner frost.
Slowly, the air temperature in the room began to drop drastically. Breathing out, Caitlin was able to see her breath in the air. Looking at the glass doors above, Caitlin began to walk towards the outer rim of speed lab track, to see a thin layer of frost coating the glass.
Running around the track, Henry began to propel himself faster. With each step that he took, Henry began to feel himself quickening. Watching as Henry lightning began to pick up bounce across the walls, quicker and more erratic, the Team watched as Henry figure vanished from the naked eye.
Suddenly, the deafening sound of glass shattering encased the speed lab. The glass doors of the track above shattered from Henry's speed. Caitlin, who had been standing closest to the doors raised her arms up in defense, trying in a futile effort to cover herself from the falling glass shards. Barry watched in slow motion as the glass shards began to fall towards Caitlin. Without a second thought, Barry leaped into action pulling Caitlin by the waist and out of harm's way.
Coming to a stop at the entrance of the speed lab track, Henry looked at the group with a lopsided grin on his face. "I told you," smiled Henry cockily looking at them with piercing ice blue eyes and hair as white as snow.
"That.....was...." began Cisco looking at Henry in shock. "AWESOME!!" screamed Cisco and Ralph in unison bouncing in excitement, disregarding the fact that Henry broke the glass doors of the speed lab track. "Oh-ho! You have GOT to show me how you did that," said Cisco joyfully.
"Henry," said Caitlin taking a step forward towards her son. "Your hair, your eyes" breathed out Caitlin looking at her son in awe.
"Oh, yeah," said Henry closing his eyes turning them back to their natural green-blue. "That happens sometimes when I channel my inner frost," replied Henry as his hair began to turn back to its normal auburn shade.
"How fast was he going?" asked Joe coming out of his state of shock.
"Mach 23," replied Harry looking at the screen in shock.
"That's faster than Barry," Caitlin mentioned looking at Harry.
"Which makes him the fastest man alive," said Ralph looking at the young man.
"Not quite. Dad's actually faster than me," replied Henry as the Team looked at him speechless.
"How?" asked Iris looking at Henry. "The fastest he's ever gone was Mach 3.3," replied Iris.
"That is in this time," replied Henry looking at the group. "But in my time, dad was able to go faster than the speed of light, which is approximately 670616629 miles per hour (Mach 874030). He is even fast enough to beat Superman in a race they had one," recalled Henry.
"S-superman," stuttered Barry looking at his son.
"Yeah," replied Henry. "Or the man of steel, as he's commonly known as," said Henry with a smile on his face.
"Awesome!" squealed Cisco fanboying.
"I can only run this fast thanks to my cryokinesis powers," continued Henry. "By channeling my inner frost, I am able to attract the little ice crystals in the air, using them as footholds to propel myself faster. Being able to spend less time on the ground, allows me to move much faster than Zoom, Reverse Flash, Savitar, and any other speedster you have faced. Although, this only gives me a slight advantage, like a little boost, which will only last for a while before it becomes too powerful. You know since speed & cold don't really mix well together," replied Henry.
"Wow," breathed out Ralph looking at the boy. "Yeah," agreed Harry nodding his head.
"Well, I am going to need to give you a little check up to make sure you're ok," replied Caitlin in doctor mode.
"Alright," replied Henry walking over towards the gurney that stood in the corner of the speed lab, along with the other medical equipment. Flashing away, Henry removed his super suit and stood in front of the gang in his father's sweater and sweatpants he had on previously. Reaching down, Henry began to pull the hem of the sweater over his head.
Caitlin, Iris, Nora, and even Cisco and Ralph, stood there with their jaws dropped.
"Yup, that's definitely Barry's son," replied Ralph looking at Henry. "Although, his abs are more defined than yours," said Ralph pointing at Barry.
"Hey," complained Barry slapping Ralph's arm away.
"What! It's true! Just look at him!" replied Ralph gesturing to Henry.
Sighing Barry rolled his eyes at Ralph's comment. Phew, defined...please, thought Barry looking at his son.
Looking up, Henry noticed that the girls including Cisco & Ralph were ogling him. Turning his head towards his mother, Henry noticed that her eyes were slightly dilated.
"Mom," called out Henry.
"Hmm," replied Caitlin distracted by his abs.
"Your staring," smirked Henry as Cailin cheek started to turn bright red.
"Oh, um," replied Caitlin beginning to get flustered. Clearing her throat, Caitlin began to get back into doctor mode. "Sorry," she replied stepping forward to grab her equipment. Taking out a sphygmomanometer, Caitlin began to check Henry's blood pressure as everyone began to collect themselves.
------------------------------------
"Your vitals are amazing! Your muscles are in perfect shape! Overall I would say that your in perfect health," replied Caitlin after she finished her checkup while Henry sat on the gurney.
"Well, if everything seems to be alright, I better get started on my mission," replied Henry standing up.
"Wait!" called out Barry walking over towards his son. "I was planning on having a little party to celebrate your arrival at my loft," replied Barry looking at his son.
"Really?" asked Henry touched by the gesture.
"Yeah," said Barry smiling at his son. "If you can come that is," he replied back shyly.
"I would love to come," beamed Henry smiling happily at his father. "But," said Henry with a frown on his face. "I don't have anything to wear," he replied looking down at his outfit.
"Oh," replied Barry looking at his son's outfit. "Don't worry, your mother and I have got it covered," he reassured his son.
"Really?" asked Henry a bit shocked that they already discussed it.
"Yeah," replied Caitlin walking over to stand by Barry's side.
"Ok," said Henry flashing on his super suit. "What times the party?" he asked his father as he fastened his mask on.
"6 pm," replied Barry.
"Got it!" replied Henry smiling. "See you then," he replied looking into his father's sea-green eyes.
"Good luck Henry," called Barry as his son disappeared in a flash of yellow and blue.
"I was actually meaning to talk to you about that," said Caitlin turning to look at Barry."I was just trying to find the right time to," she admitted shyly.
"It's alright Cait," replied Barry waving it off. "So I have some old clothes that don't fit me anymore. He can wear those for the time being. I was also thinking that maybe we can go shopping later this week, to you know, buy some clothes for him, " replied Barry turning to face her.
"Ok," Caitlin nodded her head. "That would be a good bonding experience for us," mumbled Caitlin as Barry's phone rang.
"Hello," Barry answered the call. "Yeah, ok, I'm on my way," Barry said hanging up on the caller.
"Your day job beacons I assume," Caitlin questioned with a smile on her face.
"Yeah," Barry replied smiling back at her. "I'll flash the stuff over to your house later on today," he called back walking out of the room.
"Ok," replied Caitlin as Barry zoomed off in a flash.
