IMAGINE MURAL OF FLASH INSTEAD OF IRON MAN

November 30, 2040

"I can't do it anymore Cisco," said Barry running a hand through his hair as he paced around the Cortex in his super suit. Hearing the commotion Henry made his way over towards them.

"I can't just put on a brave face and act like everything is fine when it's not!" shouted Barry. He had tried putting on a brave face for the twins, but every time they asked about their mother it broke his heart.

The twins would visit their mother every day and pretend that she was just taking a nap, that she'll wake up soon. It wasn't any better at work for Barry. Everywhere he turned his fellow colleagues would show pity for him. He was tired off it.

"She's the love of my life, Cisco. I can't lose her," said Barry looking at him with tears in his eyes. "I need to do this. I need to run back in time," stated Barry confidently. About to walk out of the Cortex a gust of wind brushed past Barry attaching a cuff to his arm. The speed adjuster cuff (controls speed).

"No you don't," said Henry standing in front of him.

"Henry," sighed Barry looking down.

"No, dad," said Henry shaking his head. "Running back in time won't fix this," interrupted Henry.

"I have to do this Henry. In order to save your mom," pleaded Barry.

"Mom is alive!" shouted Henry.

"She's in a coma!" argued back Barry as Henry looked at him with his mouth agape.

"Look, Henry. If I can run back in time it will prevent this from ever happening. Nora would never have hurt Caitlin and she would be awake, with us," said Barry trying to let him see his point of view.

"At what cost?" asked Henry looking up at him with tears in his eyes. Looking at his son Barry stared at him lost for words.

"Me? The twins? Mom?" asked Henry walking towards his father.

"What is it going to take for you to realize that you have more too lose than to gain by running back in time," spat Henry staring down his father.

Sighing Barry looked away. He was right. But his heart was too broken for him to think straight.

"I need to go. I need space. I can't let anyone that I love get hurt because of me," voiced Barry looking at him with tears in his eyes. He couldn't afford for someone else to suffer the same fate as Caitlin because of him, especially his kids. He had to do this, to protect them. So without a second thought, Barry flashed out of the Cortex ripping through the city streets.

Flashing towards the computer, Henry tried to pinpoint his father's location but found his tracker off. Picking up his tablet Henry adjusted Barry's speed so that he couldn't run back in time.

"Where did he go?" asked Cisco staring at his godson for answers.

"I don't know," breathed out Henry looking into the distance.

------------------------------------------

It had been 5 days since Barry left. No one has heard from or seen him since. There have been no sightings of The Flash and he hasn't shown up for work. Henry had been filling in for his father at CCPD. He had to fill out a leave of absence form for his high school, Central City High, to notify them that he would be taking some time off.

"Excuse me, coming through," rushed Henry through the crowd of people trying to get to the scene.

"Has anyone seen Allen's kid?" asked Singh looking at the different cops who just shook their heads at his question. Glancing down at his watch Captain Singh noted that Henry was 15 mins late.

"I'm sorry I'm late Captain Singh," apologized Henry arriving at the scene. "I had overslept late today, and then I had to get the twins to school and-"

"I don't care kid. Just get to work," said Singh cutting Henry off.

"Right, sorry," mumbled Henry getting to work.

-----------------------------------------------

"I've got the chemical analysis on that substance we found on that lock pin," said Henry as Captain Singh walked into his lab.

"It turn's out it was hydrochloric acid. I managed to track down the license plate on the getaway truck so that should help," stated Henry handing the file to Captain Singh with a smile.

"Thanks," said Singh gratefully. "How are you doing?" asked Singh looking at him concerned.

"I'm fine," said Henry faking a smile.

"You sure?" asked Singh looking at him. He had been there for Henry since he was a child and could tell when something was wrong with him.

"No," mumbled Henry looking down. "Everywhere I go, I see his face," replied Henry looking down (Singh knows Barry is The Flash).

"I just, I don't know what to do anymore Captain Singh," admitted Henry looking at him. "It's been so hard trying to balance work and taking care of the twins at the same time. I-I just miss him so much," said Henry looking at him with teary eyes.

"Henry," sighed Singh approaching him. "I'm sure Allen will return home soon. He just needs some time to think. Besides, I see the way he looks at you and the twins. He loves you guys, so much," said Singh trying to convince him.

"If he loved me so much then why would he leave me," asked Henry with a tear falling down his face.

"I don't know kid. I don't know," responded Singh sadly. He just hoped that Barry would get his ass back home soon. This kid has already suffered enough. His father being gone is not helping his situation. Placing a hand on Henry's shoulder, Henry looked up at his boss.

"I'm here if you ever need to talk," said Singh squeezing his shoulder for reassurance.

"Thank you, Captain Singh. For everything," smiled Henry drying his tears. Glancing at the time Henry noted that it was 3:15.

"Shoot, I have to go pick up the twins," said Henry gathering his things.

"Ok, see you tomorrow," said Singh as Henry rushed out of his lab.

---------------------------------------------

Henry sat on a plastic chair near Caitlin's bedside. Looking through the clear glass windows, Henry smiled as he watched his siblings playing in the Cortex.

"Henwy, Henwy, look," exclaimed Dawn running towards him with a piece of paper. "Look I drew a picture of our family. This is you, and that's me, and this is Don, and Mom, and Daddy," said Dawn pointing to each individual she drew.

"Oh wow! That's great. I'm so proud of you squirt," said Henry pulling her onto his lap to tickle her stomach.

"Henwy, stop, that tickles," giggled Dawn.

"Ok, ok," smiled Henry as he stopped tickling her stomach. Placing her on his lap securely, Henry made sure she didn't fall over. Leaning back, Dawn placed her head onto Henry's chest as he ran a hand through her hair.

"Henwy," uttered Dawn after a while.

"Yes Dawn," answered Henry.

"Where's daddy?" asked Dawn making Henry stop his action.

"He went on a business trip," lied Henry.

"When will he come back?" asked Dawn looking at him.

"Soon," said Henry. "Come on, let's go get Don, so we can get something to eat," said Henry wanting to change the subject. Standing up Henry lifted his little sister in his arms as he made his way towards the Cortex to retrieve his little brother.

"What do you guys want for dinner?" asked Henry looking between his two siblings.

"BIG BELLY BURGER!!!!" shouted the twins at the same time.

"Ok, ok," laughed Henry. "Come on let's go," said Henry picking up Don before flashing towards the restaurant.

---------------------------------------------

"Ok time for bed," said Henry trying to get the twins into bed.

"Henry?" asked Dawn looking up at her big brother. "Will mommy ever wake up?" she questioned as tears began to fill her eyes.

"Of course she will," smiled Henry trying so hard not to break down in front of her. "She loves us very much. She won't ever leave us, ok," said Henry embracing his little sister in his arms trying to comfort her.

"I promise you, mom will come back to us," said Henry trying to reassure himself and her that everything will be alright.

"Come on it's getting late. You need your rest," said Henry tucking in his siblings into bed. Leaning down Henry gave them a small peck on their foreheads.

"Goodnight," responded Henry.

"Goodnight," said the twins back. Smiling slightly Henry exited the room. Closing the door, Henry leaned his back against the door as he slid down to the floor crying.

Why did he leave us? thought Henry crying harder.

December 10, 2040

It was Henry's birthday. After sending the twins off to school Henry made his way towards the lab to see his mother.

"Happy Birthday Henry," exclaimed Cisco making his way towards his godson that sat by his comatose mother. "I got you a celebratory cupcake," said Cisco holding up the sugary treat that had a candle on top.

"Thanks, Uncle Cisco," smiled Henry slightly.

"Come on, make a wish," encouraged Cisco shoving the cupcake closer towards his face. Closing his eyes Henry made a wish.

I wish for mom to wake up, though Henry before blowing out the candle.

"What'd you wish for?" asked Cisco looking at him.

"I can't tell you or else it won't come true," winked Henry but secretly looked at his mother's sleeping form. Following Henry's eyesight, Cisco smiled slightly before placing a comforting hand on Henry's shoulder. Poor kid.

Suddenly the alarm started going off in the Cortex. Placing the cupcake down, Cisco rushed towards the monitors.

"What is it?" asked Henry standing up on high alert.

"I got a ping on that stolen compound truck from Mercury Lab," said Cisco.

"Where?" asked Henry flashing into his super suit.

"23 Robin Street," said Cisco as Henry flashed away to the scene.

----------------------------------------------

Skidding to a stop Henry tapped on the side of his comms.

"Are you sure this is the right place?" asked Henry looking at the broken down building. "It doesn't look like a place a drug lord would call home," said Henry looking at the building that looks like it hasn't been used in ages.

"Yeah, the coordinates came from here," said Cisco munching on a twizzler.

"Ok, I'll check it out," said Henry flashing into the building.

----------------------------------------------

Walking through the building Henry found it surprisingly clean. Noticing that there was not a single layer of dust on any of the equipment raised some alarms for Henry.

"Are you getting this?" asked Henry through his comms.

"Yeah," said Cisco looking at the monitors that projected what Henry was seeing (Camera attached to eye mask).

Continuing on his path Henry saw a staircase leading to another floor. Taking the stairs Henry quietly made his way down. Entering what appeared to be the basement Henry saw a bunch of coca leaves splayed across the table giving it the vibe that it was for an illegal operation. But what threw him off was the many crates lined up against the wall.

"Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" asked Henry looking at the scene with his mouth agape.

"Yeah. Those Star Trek posters are so lame. Star wars is so much better," commented Cisco looking at the walls of the room.

"I meant the crates," responded Henry.

"Oh, yeah, that too," said Cisco sipping on his slushie.

Rolling his eyes Henry continued walking down the stairs towards the crates. "I've never seen this many crates in one room. Beneze methanol, Carbon disulfide, Dioxygen, Difluoride," listed Henry calling out the names on the crates.

"Why would a drug lord need all of these-" said Henry walking further into the room causing his connection with Cisco to be cut off.

"Henry, Henry," repeated Cisco only hearing static on the other line as his camera feed was lost.

"Damn it," cursed Cisco slamming his hands onto the keyboard. "It's a trap. I need to get Henry out of there," mumbled Cisco to himself. "Ralph get your ass down here now! Henry needs our help!" shouted Cisco through the speakers of Star Labs. Using his powers, Cisco breached Henry's coordinates to someone he knew could get to Henry faster than him.

----------------------------------------------

"Why would a drug lord need all of these chemicals to make cocaine," whispered Henry to himself. Walking further into the room Henry noticed a set of doors leading to a different compartment. Pushing open the doors Henry walked into the empty room to see a gurney with different medical equipment lined against the walls. At the back of the room stood a single white brick wall that was now splattered with blood.

"What the hell?" said Henry looking at the wall.

"Uncle Cisco are you getting this," tapped Henry on his comms. "Uncle Cisco, Cisco," called out Henry not hearing anything. Suddenly a gust of wind blew into the room causing papers to fly off the table. Whipping around Henry looked at the person to see his father standing in front of him in his scarlet suit.

"Dad," replied Henry staring at him in shock.
