*Clara's P.O.V.*

"Two Jade Blades remaining." Clouse dryly stated, as most of the Elemental Masters were gathered in the Palace Arena.

I looked about the fighters and asked Lloyd, Jay and Garmadon, "Where is Kai and Cole?---"

"Wait!" Cole yelled, running in while holding a Jade Blade high in the air, "I got one!" "Cole!" Jay yelled happily, "Woohoo! You made it!" Cole looked among the Elemental Masters, as he asked, "Where's Kai?"

"Only One Jade Blade remaining!" Master Chen informed us, as Clouse put Cole's blade into a stand. Worried, I was about to use my Mind powers....

.... Until.

"Ha ha ha! Karloff wins!" Karloff yelled, holding up the last Jade Blade! Everyone cheered as Jay, Cole, Lloyd, Garmadon and I looked at each other, shocked and worried.

Where was Kai?...

Suddenly, Karloff's glove (that held the Jade Blade), fell off of his hand! Kai sneaked from behind Karloff and said, "Aha, looks like you got a screw loose!" Grabbing the Jade Blade, Kai blasted his way over to the stand, sliding the Jade Blade into the last slot!

Everyone cheered as Skylor grinned at Kai. The only ones who didn't cheer were Master Chen, Clouse, Garmadon and I.

"We have a loser!" Master Chen yelled, as everyone turned to look at Karloff. The Metal Elemental Master put his metal glove back on, arguing, "That's not fair! He cheated!"

"I did what I had to do!" Kai told Karloff, shrugging.

"That is not how you win!" Garmadon and I scolded simultaneously, stepping forward at the same time. I frowned when Garmadon looked my way, crossing my arms and looking away.

"Fine. I lose." Karloff sighed. Stepping forward, he added, "Karloff never wanted to be on stinking island!"

"O, I'm sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay." Master Chen apologized, "I guess this worked out for the best." Karloff grinned as Master Chen held up a hand, saying, "This is goodbye!"

When Master Chen pressed a button, a trapdoor opened underneath Karloff's feet, causing him to fall screaming! I jumped and looked around my feet, trying to see if I was standing on a trapdoor.

No one was laughing now as Chen told us, "As you can see, lose and you are out! Break any rules and you are out!" A minion of Chen removed Karloff's slot and moved Tox (Master of Poison) foward on the brackets.

"Never bite the hand that feeds you," Master Chen warned us, "Master Chen's delicious noodles! Now rest up; tomorrow the tournament will recommense."

The minion slammed a mini gong.

*******Dinner Time; Mess Hall (cafeteria).******

"At least the chows good!" Cole told us, as the Ninja, Garmadon and I sat in a booth by ourselves.

Jay sighed and asked, "Augh! It's killing me! What's under the trap door? What happens when you lose?!?"

Garmadon warned to Jay, (who he sat next to), "Don't think about that---." "It's all I can think about! I moved on! I feel guilty! These are not good feelings!"

"Do you think you feel bad?" Asked Kai, who sat in between Cole and Lloyd, (I unfortunately sat in between Lloyd and Garmadon), "Imagine how I feel. Our mission is simple; tonight, we find Zane and Clara's children and get off this crazy island."

Cole asked, confused, "And just how are we supposed to do that? You heard Chen, break a rule, and you're out! He's not gonna let us roam around."

"I guess asking permission is out of the question?" I choked weakly, picking at my food. My worries for my children were mounting, and I was unsure of how long I could keep my emotions under control..... I did pass the message on to Abby, but I was worried that she'd turn against me....

"Then it's a good thing were Ninja!" Kai told us, (I giggled, since I'm not a Ninja), "Meet me in my room at midnight!---"

Paleman walked up to our table, asking, "You mind if I join you?" I motioned for him to sit down, even as Jay sharply replied, "Disappear, pal! This is private!" Paleman simply disappeared, making it look as if his tray of food was floating!

"Uhh, I know you're still there! I can see your lunch tray!" Jay dryly told him. Paleman turned visible again and said, "Hmm!" He walked away as Cole told Jay, surprise in his voice, "Wow, Jay! You were really mean!"

Jay made a comeback by saying, "How am I supposed to know if we can trust him? (hyperventilating) See what this Island is doing to me? (Nearly yelling, while slamming his chopsticks on the table) Its corrupting me! It has to stop! I'll see ya tonight."

As everyone left to go back to their rooms, I noted how Lloyd and Garmadon sticked together. Garmadon looked towards me unexpectedly, causing me to widen my eyes and run to my bedroom.

Slamming the door shut, I locked my door and sighed. "I hope the Ninja don't see right through me!" I thought, backing up to my bed. Laying down, I noticed a outfit at the end of my bed. Grabbing it, I sat up and opened the outfit.

It looked a lot like the Ninja's outfits provided by Master Chen. The brown ninja gi had chest padding and a black strap running from the left shoulder down to the left hip. The symbols of the Ninja were on my strap, with my symbol (Japanese symbol for life) on the right chest pad. The Ninja gi was lighter than I was normally used to, exposing the arms and collar. Instead of a hood, I had a bandana.

Once I made sure no tracking devices were attached to the gi, I slipped out of my Ninja gi and slip on the new gi.

Noticing the picture frames on the table, I walked over and looked. I nearly screamed in shock. There, in each picture frame, were my children!

My children, who were taken from me. Dropping to my knees, I grabbed a photo of all the teens and kids together, smiling and safe from all harm.

That's when I cried. It wasn't the type of crying where you barely make a sound. This was the type of crying where I didn't care who heard me; I needed others to know how I felt. That I was broken on the inside. That's the weird thing about me; you can do whatever you want to me. Torture me, beat me, yell at me, curse me; I'll never break. But if you hurt any of my children; if you kill any of my children; I will break.....

Every bone in your body! I looked at the picture of my kids again, crying softly, "I will find the answers. I'll... never desert you. I'll... always protect you. I promise you this, til the day that I die....."

O gosh, now I'm hating myself from putting Clara in so much pain! (Face palm)

What is the song that Clara is singing? Here's a clue: the title is sung by Dr. J and Mr. H. Now go, find the answer! (See what I did there?)

Anyhow, while I was writing this chapter, the song above popped up into my mind. I first heared it as a Severus Snape/ Lily Potter tribute on YouTube. (If you look up 'Severus and Lily - Broken' by asrb123, you'll see the tribute I saw). I thought that the tune to the song matched Clara's depressed state, so I added that up above.
