Chapter Six
Aurora thought. Her thoughts directed to her locker. Her uniform and star gazer appeared in front of her. She smiled."Oh, so you've learned to transport now?"Kelden said, giving her his warm smile. She nodded."And I've mastered it!"She added. Her long tail wagged, smacking the boys awake. "What?"Norin groaned."Go back to sleep children....and stay farther away from her tail."Kelden chuckled. "Guess what?"Sorgo said, a grin creasing across his face."Whaaaat!?!"Norin growled."The Aurora Borealis is scheduled to appear in a month! That means the dance is going to be early. It will be an hour after perfect matching. That way the ones who weren't matched yet get their feelings set and get to take the test the minute the Aurora Borealis shows."He said. Tegan cried out in joy, as did Belven."There's a chance you can't be matched immediately?"She asked, hopeful."Yes. But keep in mind you aren't fully matched until the last test you take. So let's say the first time you get Sorgo."Belven answered. Sorgo blushed at the example."If you don't get him continuously at the end of the tests, he isn't your perfect match." Belven smiled."Let's say you get Tegan first instead." Tegan turned red and Sorgo growled. Kelden chuckled."But you get me twice. I'm your ideal match."He said. Aurora smiled and tickled his chin."I wouldn't mind that."Belven added, winking. Juri flapped his wings, annoyed. "I can't believe the queen changed the date of the match tests. But of course she has to follow the northern lights." Norin said. Tegan nodded. He glanced at her star gazer."Eat it. Mister Gelkin gives out tons of them."He said softly. She nodded, opening the wrapper with her teeth. She wagged her tail slowly and chewed the candy. Sour on the outside, yet sweet like honey on the inside. There was a hint of milk on her tongue. She shuddered with joy. "Frightfully delicious."She cried out. Sorgo stood up."Well, I better escort her home it's getting dark."He said. She stood as well, walking out the door. She tumbled down the steps, laughing the entire way."That was fun!" Sorgo mimicked her and urged her to her feet. They flew home."You should fly like this often. The wings don't get tired since none of your muscles are attached to them so you don't get tired."Sorgo yelled over the rushing winds."I don't physically get tired but my mind does. If you bend elements, you must have lots on concentration. Nothing exists but you, the element, and the area around you."He nodded, intrigued. She landed, looking at the den with fear."Don't worry, Oren isn't going to milk you about it."He whispered. She scoffed and they walked in together. Oren laid down, glancing at her with a blank expression. He glared at Sorgo, but the anger cleared and his mind became a blank page again. Ylves smiled at Sorgo and pulled out an elk pelt."There you go! Right next to Aurora. If I hear any weird noises, I will kill you and hang your fur on my wall Sorgo, you hear me?"She said. Sorgo blushed and chuckled."Yes maam. Don't worry, I haven't learned about that yet. I've heard the sounds! Trust me, but I haven't learned yet."He assured. The she wolf nodded and padded to Oren's side.
"Weird noises."Aurora echoed. Sorgo struggled to kick back a laugh."I know you understand. I wouldn't mind hearing them from you but the madam said not in her house!"He said. She bared her fangs in a slight smile way and nipped his hair."Yeah right. I'd like to stay a you know what. If you touch me, you will be my meat, I will tear you apart hopefully before Ylves gets to you."She growled. He chuckled. The den was given an awkward silence."I hope you're my perfect match."Sorgo said, breaking the silence. Aurora stared at him, but her eyes did not say the same."Honestly I hope Tegan. But you are tied with him so. It all depends on how he feels."But I'm the same age as you."Sorgo suddenly argued. She snorted."Tegan said age is no boundary for love. But any other way around, I doubt the fact that he likes me the way I like him."Aurora growled. She hesitated on the word like."Tegan said love, you are aware of that, right?"Sorgo said. She sighed and laid her head on her paws."Sorgo, are you my boyfriend?"She asked. He blushed, the red easy to see in the darkness somehow."I don't know."He muttered, looking away. Aurora nudged him."We are always making gestures that only mates do. I'm always kissing you!" Sorgo turned to look at her."Only because you want to show that you appreciate the way I care!" She snorted. She padded behind the boar skin and changed. She put on the magenta dress Tegan left her. She came back. Her hair began to show the effects of the candy."Sorgo, would you like to be my boyfriend?"She asked, taking his hand. He stuttered."Why?"He managed to ask."For this." She pulled him forward and kissed him on the lips. Aurora's heart burst on the inside from the overwhelming joy. He looked away before he could see her smile."What was that for?"He asked softly, breathing heavily."To show you that I don't do it because I appreciate how you care. I think I love you Sorgo."She answered. His emerald green eyes spoke poems."Then yes. Now come here girlfriend for the approval kiss."He said eagerly. He put his arms on her hips as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him forward. She was glad it was in the dark and Ylves was asleep. Her guardians were deep enough in sleep to not hear the lip smacking. "Okay, approval kiss is done."Aurora said, shoving him off playfully. Sorgo brushed the specks of dirt off his pants and changed behind the boar skin. She giggled as he winked and she curled up on the bear pelt.
"What if Tegan finds out what we've done?"She whispered to Sorgo in the morning. He chuckled."You mean become mates?"He asked. She shook her head, her hair glittering with sparkles. "About how we kissed for four minutes long...."She said. Sorgo scoffed."Nobody would tell Tegan that." Aurora looked doubtful as her head poked out from behind the boar skin. He growled at the thought of someone telling him that. "If he does, he will know why."He said. Aurora walked over, brushing her hair. Sorgo took the brush and slowly brushed her hair, smiling."You're going to tell him we're dating?"She asked, fiddling with her hair pin. He hesitated, the brush stopping as well."Of course! Govena' might as well know."He answered, mimicking his British accent. Aurora giggled and passed him the pin. Sorgo pinned up her hair, kissing her and smiled."You are beautiful. So beautiful I could just die!"He teased. She smiled and walked out of the den. Ylves raised an eyebrow, shoving them into the portal. Aurora caught Oren's muttering. Sorgo landed onto his feet, while Aurora flew through the air."I got her!"A familiar voice yelled. She fell into Tegan's arms. She blushed then pulled herself towards Sorgo. The elf had a perplexed scent coming off of him. Sorgo wrapped his arms around her into a comforting hug."Are you okay baby?"He asked softly. Tegan no longer smelled confused, but more rageful and sad. She smiled and kissed him lightly, hesitating."Yeah, I'm fine. Don't you worry about me, worry about finding me a nickname so you don't call me baby again."She replied, chuckling. He nodded and walked to his locker. Tegan stopped her before she could get within two feet of it."Baby? The kisses? What's happening?"He growled. Sorgo noticed it, out of the corner of his eye. He walked over, snarling. Tegan smelled of fear. The werewolf seized him by the shoulders, slamming him into the lockers."You're jealous. Aren't you?"He asked, his pupils forming the slits of a dragon's. Tegan snorted."Why would I?"He said. Sorgo slammed him harder, pinning him against the largely dented lockers."You like Aurora don't you? I can smell the jealousy, but it's hard to pick out from all that fear."He sneered. Tegan blushed."Oooh, embarrassment! Just feeding me more and more with those negative moods. Well, she's my girlfriend now, deal with it."Sorgo sneered. He let him go, walking over to Aurora. "I can't believe I have to see him in homeroom."He muttered. Aurora crossed her arms, not looking at him."What?" She growled."After what you did to Tegan you think I would be happy to look at you? I thought you were going to be subtle and tell him at lunch." He smelled of guilt."Sorry, wolves tend to get protective of their mates. You know that."Sorgo apologized. She glanced at him, sighing. Aurora gave him a kiss on the cheek and looked forward."I forgive you. But don't do it again."
Missus Canvas glared at Sorgo as he came in. The two sat by each other again."Now class, today we will have a free paint. I will give you canvasses and paints with paintbrushes of all sizes. You may paint OR sketch anything you like."She announced. She snapped her fingers and the desks disappeared. The students were sitting on nothing but stools. The canvas appeared in front of Aurora. The paints set in the little slot with differed sizes of paintbrushes. She took a pencil and slowly sketched. Aurora sketched a picture of two wolves nuzzling each other. She signed it and smiled at how professional she sketched. Her picture felt empty suddenly. She took a small paintbrush and dipped it in green. She mixed it with a drop of pink and blue, making it emerald. The color mixing worked differently here. She colored in the male's eyes. She cleaned the brush and then dipped it in white. Aurora mixed it into the emerald green, making it leaf green. She colored in the female's eyes. Aurora left it at that. Sorgo looked over, smiling."Is that us?"He asked. She snorted."Noooooo.....maybe." Tegan muttered and kept on painting.'Sorry about Sorgo earlier. I thought he would tell you subtly. I guess not. What are you painting?' He sighed, looking at his canvas. He kind of giggled but turned it around. A lifelike painting of FlashStorm from the perspective of him following Aerodite as she composed the sonic boom.'Love it. I know Aerodite thinks her butt looks too big though. Flash will love it too.' He flashed his perfect smile then signed the painting."All right class, I trust you're done!" Sorgo nodded eagerly. "I would like you all to come up and present to us all your paintings or sketches." The paintings of every single person seemed like they spent fourteen years in art school. Dragons attacking acid hounds. Hellhounds chasing a fire buck. Sorgo went up. His painting was them both in wolf form. He was standing over her cowered body protectively as he wore silver armor and a sword in his mouth. His sword was against a scythe that had no owner, as it trailed off the canvas. /Urvek/."I know that is you Sorgo but who is the female?"Missus Canvas asked.'Don't you dare!'She messaged him. Aurora picked up the paints and quickly but swiftly to where it seemed she never rushed and colored in the wolves. "The person has decided to stay anonymous."He answered.
Aurora smiled at Sorgo as she walked to the front of the class." Oh, so the female was you?"The teacher asked. She nodded happily, not afraid."You two are dating?"She then asked. Both Sorgo and Aurora nodded at the same time."Okay.....on the other hand or in her case paw, this painting is absolutely stunning! The detail, the eyes that just look at each other. You can feel the love these two give each other. That mood there might be an exaggeration of what they feel but I'm saying is you can feel their emotions. As if the animals themselves are alive." Missus Canvas caught a glimpse of sulking Tegan."Come on up grumpy Tegan. Let me see it!"She encouraged. He trudged to the front and showed it. "Interesting.... What is happening here?"She said. Tegan smiled, the color returning to his grey face."This is FlashStorm, my pegasus. In my painting, this is my point of view from the sky. The alicorn is Aerodite, Aurora's and she is teaching her how to do a sonic boom. The circle cloud is the sound catching up I believe."He explained. Aurora clapped, the others followed. Sorgo clapped, but it was forced. Hatred exchanged among the two teens. The bell rang."Take your paintings!"She yelled. Aurora teleported her picture to Aerodite's stall. She ran the entire way, Sorgo just following at her heels. Aerodite kicked softly at her stall door. Her purple eyes tugged at Aurora's conscious. She gritted her teeth and raised her hand to the mare's face, showing a sign of needed patience. Mister Toredor trotted in on Primal. He nickered at Aerodite, who neighed at him as if he was like any other horse in the stable. He snorted and looked forward."Class, today we will go into the pasture with our horses! Just develop a good bond with them."He said. Everyone mounted. Tegan trotted over, Flash Storm rearing."Into the pasture we go."He said. She smiled and the class galloped into the pasture. She got off of Aerodite, smiling."So, let's be lazy together."Aurora said. Aerodite nodded and laid down, flicking her tail. Aurora slowly sat herself down and laid down on her back. She suddenly heard neighing. They both raised their heads. Flash Storm came over, Tegan trailing behind. Flash began to prance in a circle around Aerodite. Kite slammed down with a screaming Norin on her back. She raised her wings like the hood of a cobra. Aerodite glanced at Aurora and got up, rearing and slamming her hooves together. The sound of the golden hooves rammed against each other sounded like thunder during an epic lightning storm. She bared her teeth and glared at the pegasus. On the other gender side, Primal was going against Flash. Mister Toredor had trouble controlling his own alicorn and pegasi. Tegan ran over, staring at the scenes."What's happening?"He asked. Norin screamed from the mare's back,"Kite likes Flash! She's jealous! Now get me down." Aurora looked at Tegan and smiled weakly.
'Aerodite, can you manage to get Norin off of Kite safely?' The alicorn slightly moved, Kite following her every movement.'Well, if she keeps following me, I can't slip him onto my back but I can use my magic to do it. I can't guarantee his safety at the moment but just let me process this more and I think then I can make sure he gets down safely.'The mare intelligently responded. Tegan looked at Aurora's confused face."What?" She smiled."Don't worry Norin! Aerodite can get you down!" She yelled. He smiled sarcastically and glared at the ground. Aerodite quickly flew a half circle to get to Norin. Before his fingertips could touch the soft mane of the alicorn, the envious pegasus neighed and flew sideways, Norin's arms flailing. Aerodite snorted and shook her mane. Her horn glowed purple, everyone staring. The males were still in their vicious fight, blood splattered on the battleground and stained coats. Shaken breathes and weak shrieks. The guards tried to split them apart, but each one became fatally injured. A glowing and sparkling purple light outlined Norin as he began to float. Her mane separated, like a graceful woman sinking to the bottom as her hair branched out under the influence of the thick liquid. Norin curled up a little, fearing the unusual magic he was now experiencing. Aurora watched in pride. Suddenly, Aerodite's mane became tangled and bedhead. She shrieked with pain, her horn becoming studded with dark crystals. They didn't stop growing until you couldn't see the beautiful alicorn as nothing but a mere statue made out of ominous black crystals. She fell to the ground with a hard thud. Kite swooped to catch Norin, nudging Aerodite. A hint of decay traveled on the wind."Urvek!"Aurora screeched. She ran into Tegan's arms, blushing as he held her close.'Sorgo!!! Urvek is here, he froze Aerodite!' You could here his panting seconds after she began. The wolf padded towards her, smiling. He frowned at the sight of the statue alicorn. Primal and Flash trotted over, blood stained coats. They sniffed Aerodite, ears going against their head as Sorgo's followed."It's a sign. He'll be here soon. For someone else."He said solemnly. His eyes full of fear, Sorgo trudged towards the school, glancing at Norin. She pulled out the alicorn journal, glancing at the crystal statue. She quickly wrote it down, everything. The look, texture, smell. Mister Toredor examined Aerodite's statue.
Kelden read the journal entry, shaken. He walked over to the crystal statue, running his hand across the back. He looked into the frozen mare's eyes."Fear. I read fear and confusion. Hidden hatred and sadness. He knows how to make a scene and a sign."He said. Tegan glanced at his father then looked back at Flash Storm as he bathed him. Primal stared at Aerodite's frozen form, as shaken as Kelden. Mister Toredor reached his hand out to pat the alicorn's neck, but the stallion pulled away. Aurora went over to startled Norin."What happened to Aerodite? She started shrieking in pain while she was trying to save me from the jealous drama queen."He said, looking at Kite. She nickered at Flash, who responded with an angry neigh. Belven ran over as fast as he could. Floreli, Yendur, Uretes, and Kiltani took their time to arrive. Primal caught a glimpse of the Elder and galloped over. He flapped his wings frantically, nodding at Aerodite."Yes, yes. I'm very aware Primal, I've come to investigate. Don't you worry a bit about Aerodite, she will be okay."He said. They locked stares, a spark suddenly going off in the gap of space between them. Belven blinked, then slowly walked over to the frozen alicorn. He waved a hand over it, the inside lighting up. The skeletal, respiratory, muscular, vascular, and waste systems were visible suddenly. Belven leaned in to see the heart. It beat slowly, the lungs worked as well. He placed his hand in front of her snout, near her nose. "Slow inhales, quick exhales. She's still alive."He announced. Everyone sighed with relief. Belven glanced at Aurora and walked over. He examined her face and arms."You are okay, correct?"He asked. She slowly nodded, catching a glimpse of Sorgo snarling. She mouthed the words "stop it" and then smiled as if everything was okay and she did not just talk to a jealous werewolf behind his back at the moment. Belven looked back at Sorgo and grunted, running his fingers through his red hair. "What was happening before she got frozen?"He then asked, paying no mind to Sorgo."Well, Flash Storm was showing off for Aerodite and Kite got jealous."Norin chuckled nervously and shot a dead glare at the mare."They started to fight. Flash and Primal were fighting as well, you can tell it was violent. While Aerodite was trying to save Norin, she used her magic. I noticed everyone looking. Then her horn glowed black and dark crystals studded it. That's when she got frozen." Belven nodded, looking to the sky. He saw a shadow zip past. He glanced at a hellhound by a guard's side. It whimpered and stared at the sky, growling at times and the fire engulfing the spine turned red. Belven shot towards Primal."Urvek! Tegan, Norin, mount right now! We're going after the vampire."He ordered. Primal gave one strong flap and shot into the sky. Aurora glanced at Sorgo, who nodded. She shifted, not caring about the uniform. Wings, not cloud formed, appeared. A bright white color, the tips of each feather a purplish pink. Her fur changed, total white. Her new white coat had streaks of purple and pink. A large feather earring hung from her right ear. It was light gray, tipped with red. Aurora's old leafy green eyes turned a beautiful light blue. She seemed like a tribal angel wolf. She flew behind them, catching up to Primal. "Urvek is just up ahead. For an old vampire, he sure can fly."Belven howled over the rushing winds. Aurora snorted and gave a strong flap. To help her go faster, she imagined herself as Aerodite, the beautiful now frozen alicorn. Anger swelled deep in her heart as well. The vampire appeared in front of her."Wow, you look a lot like a Musketeer. Much less intimidating honestly."She sneered. His searing hot red eyes spoke in demonic languages to her innocent soul. "Ah, I have finally located the hybrid after all these years."He said in a Spain accent. Urvek reached out a deathly pale hand towards her. She snarled and snapped at it. He gave a psychotic smile and ran a finger down the curve of the scythe. He twisted around in his hands and glanced at her, his red eyes more frightening than the rest of his appearance."I'm not afraid of you. Do you understand me? I will make you pay for what you did to Aerodite."She snarled. Aurora glared at him as he burst out with an evil laugh. He looked dead serious at the she wolf."And you silly child, I shall make you pay for your attitude towards me. After this, I think you will understand that I don't play with my food. Your actions will result in consequences that will eat away at you bit by bit. Then, by the time you see me once more, I can take you down like you were nothing but ashes lying on the ground. You and your weak self. You make me sick!"He growled. He quickly clenched his hand into a fist and disappeared.
Howling from the ground was as loud as a screeching banshee. It sounded extremely familiar."Sorgo!!"Aurora howled in fear. She dive bombed, not feeling the fire that had formed around her. His cries made her ears deaf. She landed, debris flying everywhere. Aurora looked at his face, the only remaining part."No! Hold on, I can free you!"She cried out. He smiled weakly and a single tear went down his cheek. It never reached the ground, as it was frozen along with his body. Sorgo's beautiful emerald green eyes sparkled one last time."Save the kingdoms."He whispered. His last words engraved themselves in her mind. She threw herself across his statue and cried. Tegan patted the she wolf's back."It's okay. Let it out."He said softly. Belven landed, speechless. Aurora got off of his statue and looked towards the sky. She took in a deep breath, letting out a long and mournful howl. The Aurora Borealis appeared, it's colors faint. One area of the sky turned night. The stars swirled together, flashing into place as a new constellation. A werewolf howling, facing the direction of the moon directly."He's not dead."Norin rudely interrupted. Kite bucked him off and raised a hoof towards his face threatening. She slowly stopped howling. Her beautiful fresh water blue eyes were bloodshot. Aurora trudged to the stables. Everyone's jaws dropped, watching the faint Northern Lights fade away. She began trembling as she noticed Tegan heading towards her' Is it possible to have a sad slash?'She quickly asked Belven. He looked at her, nodding. Then he raised his hands in a questioning gesture.'Because I'm about to have one right now!' He glanced at Tegan, taking off towards him. 'FLASH! TEGAN!' Aurora began to float, her wings locked and not moving. Flash Storm gave out a loud neigh and galloped for Tegan. The shocked elf made no attempt to get out of the way whatsoever. The pegasus rammed him out of the way, swinging his body farther away from Aurora. "Who isn't afraid to get hurt? In order to prevent brain damage during mood slashes, the pain must be inflicted on someone."Belven yelled. Norin stepped forward."After all, I've done things she should hurt me for."He said. The smell of depression and guilt came off of her like a freshly made incense. Her eyes glowed white, her wings unlocked and spread widely. Aurora was no longer in control, as her conscious had been blinded by uncontrolled grief and sadness. Vines from trees nearby wrapped themselves around her legs. Like a whip, she slashed at Norin. Retractable thorns appeared on the ends of each vine. He turned his back to her, wincing at every slash that made old gashes deeper and deeper. He was now Jesus Christ, who sacrificed himself for the well being of others around him. So nobody innocent would have to pay a death price for something someone else has done.
Kelden growled and looked around. He sent her a picture of Tegan and Belven. The vines paused, hesitating. He smiled. They went back to slashing. He looked at his son and knew what he had to do. He sent a picture of her kissing Tegan. The vines shriveled up and she fell to the ground. Tegan jumped off of Flash and wrapped his arms around Aurora's neck in a hugging gesture. Norin cringed on the ground, crying. Her light blue eyes turned red all of a sudden as she saw the blood. Kelden pinned her down, closing her snout. "Don't let her near blood in this form. It will corrupt her mind."He growled. Tegan nodded and picked up Norin. He handed him off the Belven."Hurry, get him to Belendize." He said. The Elder nodded and ran as fast as he could. Tegan pointed a finger at the blood, white fire shooting out. It wrapped around the blood, burning it into steam and then capturing the steam. He sighed as he glanced at Aurora. The fire became a solid glass ball. He tossed it around a little, then with all of his force, Tegan threw the glass ball into the deep forest behind the school. Aurora breathed heavily, her wings folded by her side were ruffled. Her fur bristled as she feared that she fatally injured her friend. She looked at the stall of the frozen alicorn. Taking out the painting, she glided over to Sorgo's statue. She placed it down. Aurora took the scented candles she took from her human home and placed a few some feet away from the painting and lit them. She then padded over to Aerodite's and placed the remaining ones. "This is now a shrine. They are not deceased. I'm afraid they will be if I do not get rid of Urvek and the dark kingdoms. My frozen loved ones shall be a reminder of what Urvek can do, so I practice my powers and spar so I can prevent others from having such a terrible and painful fate."She announced. Aurora nuzzled the cold neck of Sorgo's statue. She looked into his eyes and smiled weakly."I will save you."She said softly. His obsidian black eyes sparkled, responding to her soft words. She padded over to Aerodite again, carrying the brush in her mouth. She placed it in front of the mare' s hoof. "You too girl. I'll get you out as fast as I can." Tegan ran his fingers through his hair in a frustrated manner."Everything is happening so fast. Urvek must be getting rushed by his master. After all, bounty hunters are hired and they are told how long it must take to kill someone."He said, nibbling on his nails. She nipped his hand and he tore it away from his mouth. Aurora nodded and flicked her tail, looking towards the sky."I have to go home early because of my uniform but come over and we will talk about it."She said, glancing at the clock. The bell rang and the she wolf headed towards the elevator.
Juri and Pendan were in the elevator."So, where is Miss Nightmare heading to? Definitely not lunch."Pendan said, flashing a grin. She smiled and looked at Juri, who had scars and tattered wings."Oh gosh! What happened to you? I'll fix it." Aurora made water appear on the floor. Plucking a feather from her wings, she dipped the purplish pink tip in and mixed it, making the water turn light blue. She made it hover above his head."Get ready to be soaked."She warned. The angel nodded and braced himself for the cold. The small puddle fell on Juri, soaking him as if the puddle was a lake. Aurora blushed as she rubbed herself against his sides, her white fur becoming stained with blood and absorbing the excess water."Thanks, I feel better. What about the blood?"He asked. Her tail touched the blood, but it had become nothing but a mere marking on her fur. "Cool. At least it wasn't that bad or your entire coat would have been red instead of white."Juri smiled, petting her large head. Pendan grimaced and punched him in the ribs. She snarled and raised her hackles."Whatever. I thought you were brown, blond, black, and white. And your eyes were like a kind of leafy green." Aurora shrugged. "I believe I am in my angel form. I seem kind of tribal."She replied. He smiled then they arrived."What are you here for again?"She then asked. Juri went to the other side of her, glaring at the shifter. Pendan growled then looked forward."Me and Pendan got into a fight. It was stupid."He muttered."Stupid? Heh, you can say that when you end up in a grave!"He snarled, lunging forward. The large she wolf pinned him down, cracking the glass floor. She slashed a small scar on his left eye. "A trophy. For the most stupidest attempt to hurt someone while a wolf was there."She sneered. Pendan chuckled." It's not my fault that your sister is attracted to me. Not one bit. Let her be in love or at least have a crush! So the fight made no sense whatsoever."Juri snapped. Pendan, wiped a drop of blood trickling down his face and glared at the angel."She doesn't deserve an angel like you. Can't believe your ancestors were from heaven and not hell."He shot. Juri flexed his wings and clenched a hand into a fist."Turn into your tiny mouse and scamper away. You fear the tiniest sounds and are no stronger than a single ant. I'll call pest control myself!"He retorted. The angel had cornered the shifter, who was unable to make a comeback."All of this....over a crush?"Aurora snarled."If anyone should have hurt someone, it should have been me. I just went through something so extreme that I could have a hate slash on the both of you right now." Pendan crossed his arms and snorted."What could be worse than my sister having a crush on this guy?" She glared at the shifter, he ran his fingers through his hair and shrugged. His hazel eyes asked for forgiveness. She nodded and sat down, unable to explain such pain."Urvek came during Equestrian Flight class. He froze Aerodite....." A single sparkling tear made its way down her furry cheek."Then he froze Sorgo."Aurora choked out. She slid into a laying position and rested her head on her paws. Pendan put a hand on her shoulder."That is terrible."He whispered. Juri smacked the back of his head."There's more." She nodded and sniffled. "Then I had a sad slash on Norin. The gashes were so deep, Belven had to take him to Belendize. I was too shocked to treat him. I will make Urvek pay for what he did to my alicorn and my boyfriend." Pendan took his hand off quickly."You had a boyfriend? Wait, if he's frozen then that means your single."He said, smiling. She growled and got up.
All three entered Queen Wirwix' s office. The queen grimaced as she noticed Aurora, but she glared at the boys."What's wrong dear?"She asked, holding a hand up to Juri and Pendan. Her gaze focused on the wolf."I need to go home. Urvek froze Sorgo and an alicorn at Equestrian Flight class. And when I shifted to chase him down......" Queen Wirwix raised an eyebrow and Aurora leaned forward."I was wearing my uniform when I changed. I didn't go somewhere to take it off, I just shifted."She whispered into the principal's ear. She nodded and paused as her mouth formed words."I'll message your guardians." She merely said 'Expect a new and much more beautiful uniform in the morning.' Aurora smiled and sat down near a window that faced the side of the school which had the exit. She watched for Oren and Ylves. "Now boys. Shall we agree to never fight again?"She asked. They glanced at each other and looked back at Queen Wirwix."Yes ma'am." She smiled."Then I trust you two will have lots of fun cleaning Mister Gelkin's class ceiling. The stars should shine more brightly tomorrow." They groaned and looked at Aurora, who giggled at their punishment. Oren and Ylves arrived, their tails wagging frantically as they paced. She pushed a window that looked like a door. Aurora glided to her guardians, who nuzzled her and checked her quickly."Sorgo..."She said, her eyes watering. Ylves glanced at Oren, who licked her forehead and smiled faintly."It's okay. You'll save him. And I believe in you." The words filled her with warmth. It was so hot, she felt full of a thousand suns. His words were so encouraging and spirit lifting. Aurora walked in between them, and for the first time, an unusual feeling had been thrown on her like a blanket. They were family."Have you asked High Alpha Uretes about me yet?"She asked. Oren smiled and wagged his tail."He's working on us becoming your legal guardians. We wanted to fully adopt you but becoming your guardians was as far as Uretes would let us go." She leapt up with joy and pounced on Ylves. They let out barks of joy."Another question. It might disturb you but I must know."Aurora said solemnly, looking at them both. Ylves and Oren nodded."How come you two are mostly in wolf form? It's confusing." Aurora watched as their coats clearly lost color."When we become humans, that form is cursed. We constantly find orphaned pups in such form."Ylves said quietly. Oren's ears flattened."And each one dies. I can't bear such guilt on my shoulders once more."He added, shivering like he had lost his fur and was left in the cold, cold tundra. Aurora understood their disturbance well. "But I'm here. If you come across a pup, we could all take care of it." Oren looked off into the distance. He shakily exhaled and glanced at the two she wolves."Well, let's go home."He said. Ylves smiled and nodded, running through the tall grass. The large white male chuckled as he watched the female bound away."You know, I remember the day I met her. Such a stunning girl. We were on the 4th Layer. Her beautiful sandy yellow dress. The rattlesnake pin in her hair. Her long, weird but elegant blond, black, and silver hair. She always smelled like lilacs! And her captivating light green eyes. Nobody, not even her parents, had such dreamboat eyes like hers." Oren's dandelion yellow eyes become glassy as he watched his mate wag her tail as she waited at the end of the field. "I was sitting alone at lunch on the last day of school. I was surprisingly one of the people who never got a match. Apparently she was too. She came over and smiled. The words she said, they are so vivid in this memory while everything else is blurry. Ylves said,'On a day so celebrated, nobody should be left in the shadows of past fears, sorrow, anger, and grief.'"
Aurora smiled as the words played over in her head."I remember the exact words that Tegan said when I met him. It isn't that sweet but he talked to me. I was in the hall at my human school, feeling sick. I had already eaten but I hadn't had any blood recently. He suddenly came up when I was just staring at the floor. He asked,'What's wrong? Are you skipping?' But he did something sweet which led to sweet words. He let me use his jacket, which I still have. Then he said,'Wow, your eyes are....' I cut him off because I thought my eyes made no sense back then." Oren tilted his head and looked into her eyes."But they're fine! I don't see the problem."He said. She slightly snorted."If I had clothes, you would see why. In my human, I guess from my way elf, form my eyes are two different colors. Green and brown. But now green might be more bluish." Aurora flicked her tail and nodded at Ylves as they reached the edge of the field."Then he said,'I was going to say they're beautiful.' I believe those were his exact words." Oren smiled and licked Ylves' cheek as they walked to their territory. A pack stopped them in their track. The father glared at Oren. His fur was brown, grey face mask and tail. His mustard yellow eyes tried to attack Oren's sweet dandelion eyes. The mate, a silver wolf with black glittery markings and highlighter yellow eyes, glared at Ylves as well. Their children seemed much different. The son, a handsome male, was around 14. He was tan with a white brindle. His younger sister, probably 10, was painted tundra camo. Both of their eyes were a wonderful pickle green. The son stared at her with interest while the sister glared at both her brother and Aurora. /What is with this glaring and staring?/"Mr. Cruensen, what are you doing in Nutmore territory?"The father asked. Oren snarled."Just going back home with my daughter. No blood and gore needed Veran." Ylves smirked and flicked her tail at the mate."Yes, and I don't want to see Belinda's horrific face ever again. So don't bother me again or I'll tear that smile off your face."The suddenly aggressive female sneered. The daughter stood up for her mother."Well I don't want to see your daughter's demonic face ever in my life again so stay away from our borders." Oren bared his fangs, making her cower."I don't know about that Roquenelle. I find her quite attractive."The brother said with a crisp British accent, smiling. Aurora giggled, wagging her tail. Veran growled and rammed his son into a tree. "Wilkon, you are a failure in our eyes at all times. These are our enemies since the day time for us werewolves began. The Cruensen family is not to birth into our bloodline because of a mistake."He scolded. Wilkon cried out as his father's claws raked his stomach. 'This is so horrifying to only witness.' Aurora messaged Oren. He nodded.'It's much painful to experience. Do something about it, the good deed will help you later.'
Aurora began with a low growl. Veran paused, the torment ceased but left pain in its wake. Wilkon collapsed, crying. "Does this terrible child dare to growl at the noble Nutmore family?"Veran snarled. Aurora's eyes turned into a blood red, much like those of a dreadful vampire. Her fur suddenly seemed to be cloaked in the darkness of shadows with fear and hatred whisping around in the form of black wind which settled itself as horns upon her head. Her wings became black and leathery, coated in the dark red fires of the weak and innocent souls in the inferno. Veran was surprisingly not fazed. The fear kicked in once her fangs became black and curled. "Would you like to suffer as well as your son has under your power?"She asked, her voice deep and dark. The words seemed to tear him apart with daggers stained with blood from the hellhounds of Hades. "N-no. I do this only to kick this stupid bag of fur into his rightful place. This family has no place for screw ups. We are plain royalty for good Lupus's gracious sake!"Veran stuttered in response, his stubbornness still there. Aurora snorted and snarled."Well then, 'for good Lupus's gracious sake', May he forgive thy sin as I being in the form of Hades' Grim Reaper shall take thou's life."She sounded very old and ancient using thy and thou in context. Aurora lowered her head and a scythe came out. She picked it up in her mouth, smirking."See you in hell Veran Nutmore."She muttered. Oren snapped the scythe in half as he seized it. Aurora snorted and sat down."The family will be traumatized now. That will be enough child!"Ylves growled as Oren burned the weapon with the wings of fire mounted upon her back. Wilkon smelled of fear and thankful. "Thank you. My father I would have been able to reap my own but you have done a much better job striking fear into the hearts of my dreadful family. I thank you for such once more."He said. 'Look who sounds more proper now.'She messages Oren as she changed back. Aurora glared one last time at Roquenelle and stuck out a snake tongue. The sister shrieked and ran off.
