A Sweet Dream or a Beautiful Nightmare
"Ashlynn?" I hear my name from behind me. I turn around on my heel my eyes meeting those memorable navy blues. I look around finding myself in the dimly lit alley, my back against the brick. Why am I here again? I look back at Nickolas.
"Why are we back out here again?" I ask noticing his intense stare on me as my whole body reacted flushing with heat. I put my palms on my cheeks. I'm blushing. All it took was his look, his navy blue sea heating up my skin. Why the hell am I acting as if I am a middle school girl?
He stands in front of me, his hands moving up to my own that still lay on my cheeks. My breath hitches as he leans in keeping his sights on my now changed eyes.
"You know someone could get lost in that frozen winter." he says quietly. He must be talking about my eyes. Right?
I try to pry my hands away from his only for his grip to tighten. "I'm not going to hurt you Ash," He says as he leans in next to my ear his whisper warming my being even more so, " I wouldn't dream of it."
I pull my head away and look at him knowing the look of a confused and torn girl were etched in my facial expression.
"Nickolas--" I start but I was cut off short with the feel of his lips on mine, the urgency in it, how he dropped my hands and cupped my face, moving my wild hair away. I subconsciously had grabbed onto his leather jacket pulling him against me until I was pushed up against the wall. Every movement was frantic, impulsively heated., his lips starting to run a trail down my arching neck.

I shoot up in my seat, heaving in deep breaths.
"You okay, Ash?" Donovan's amused voice comes from beside me. Knowing my face was still heated, I looked out of the back seat window as I answer,
"Yeah, just a dream." I say nonchalantly, moving my hair behind my ear I find my eyes peeking over at the driver's seat where Nickolas sits his foot on the gas petal. I look up at the rear view mirror finding those eyes on me. I narrow my eyes at him accusingly only getting a small smile in return. I look away absolutely disgusted with myself. Been in his presence for not even two whole days, and I'm having dreams a young hormonal teen has.
"Where are we going, pretty boy?" I ask as I look at the passing town.
"Tennessee. There's a witch there. Because hybrid witches can't open portals." he says and my eyes shoot to him.
"Why would need one?" I ask disbelief in my voice.
"To visit our beloved homeland." he answers as he looks ahead. I sit up from my relaxed position.
"To go there is a death wish for me, Nickolas, might as well kill me right now." I reply heatedly.
"So she speaks my name." he says chuckling, "But remember I am the only one who can kill you."
"They will lock me up forever, they will drain me of the blood that keeps me going, they wont feed me, I'll go dormant. Might as well be dead." I snap out.
"You won't be taken, even if you deserve it, I won't let them, at least, not until my sister is back and healthy." he says.
"You sure we can't just drop her off there?" Liz asks from the passenger seat. With a flick of my finger her shirt is on fire and she's screaming curses at me I didn't even know existed. I put it out as I laugh my ass off.
I smile at Donovan's disapproving look, "Oh she deserved it."
"You little--" Liz started her eyes blazing, Nickolas throws his jacket at her as he says,
"Calm it, spit fire."
"Well that's a funny pun. " I say my fangs appearing in my next smile.
"Watch it hybrid." Elizabeth retorts. I put my hands up in mock surrender,
"Oh yes ma'am, wouldn't want to cross you, " I reply caustically. Nickolas chuckles making my smile wider. This might be fun after all.
