*A few years later*
"Happy 12th birthday Ace!" Ruby said.

"Thanks sis" Ace said.

"Yes happy birthday Ace" Bailey said. Ace smiled in response. Ace had just turned 12 and was celebrating with his family and Bailey who came over that day to study with Ruby. His mother took the day off her busy business job to make sure Ace was happy on his birthday.

The family knew that ever since Ace started primary school he's had a tough time fitting in with the other kids. They would bully him mentally and socially and even sometimes physically. It was also around the time Ace realised what his sexuality was and he had attractions to some of the boys in his school. In school he was considered an outcast and a freak because he liked the same gender.

Ace had also found it hard to keep himself up during all of this punishment he was receiving but his family especially Ruby was helping him through it. Ace had made his wish and opened his presents smiling at them. He looked over at Bailey and Ruby and he could tell that Bailey had a crush on his sister. He chuckled softly. He suddenly saw that Ruby was coughing furiously and Bailey rushed her up to her room. While the parents were distracted Ace followed them wondering what was going on.

He saw the door was slightly opened and peeked through it and was shocked at what he saw. He saw Bailey pinned against the wall by Ruby and Ruby was drinking her blood. Bailey panted and was blushing as she let Ruby have as much as she needed. Ruby pulled away and Bailey passed out. Ruby held Bailey in her arms and cried softly.

"I don't want to do this anymore to you Bailey... I'm sorry" Ruby said. I knew it. Ruby does have problems with her hunger. How can I help her? Ace thought to himself and Ruby soon looked up and sensed someone watching her.

"Ace is that you?" Ruby asked. Ace revealed himself and Ruby quickly wiped her face in panic.

"I-It's not what it looks like I swear!" Ruby said.

"It's alright Ruby. I already knew" Ace said. Ruby was confused.

"I've known that you've had problems with your hunger ever since I was 5. You don't have to hide it from me" Ace said.

"Y-You don't understand Ace... I crave your blood. I crave it so badly that I've resorted to drinking my own blood and sometimes drinking Bailey's as well... I-I didn't want to hurt you... your my brother" Ruby said. Ace blinked and sighed and looked at Bailey.

"Hmmm she's still alive" Ace said.

"I know. I'm not trying to kill her. She said she'll be fine because she's a ghoul and can regain her blood when she goes out to hunt" Ruby said.

"I see" Ace said.

"You should probably go... I'll take care of her..." Ruby said. Ace nodded and went to his room. Ace sighed and laid down on his bed thinking to himself. So she craves my blood. Maybe I should let her have my blood even if she refuses. She's suffering because of her hunger and if I can help her this way then I will.

The next couple of days Ace's bullying in school got to a point where he couldn't take it anymore and was starting to lose his temper. It's bad enough that the new kid in his class was taken under his bullies wing and was now following in their footsteps. The bell rung for lunch and as he was getting his lunch his lunch was taken away from him from Mitchell, the new kid.

"What's on your sandwich huh loser? Hmmmm ham and cheese my favourite. Thanks for giving me my lunch" Mitchell said smirking.

"Give me my lunch back!" Ace said reaching for it. Mitchell laughed and chucked it to one of his friends.

"Go fetch mutt" Mitchell said.

"Yeah over here doggy!" Cindy said. Ace walked over to her and tried to grab his sandwich but then it was thrown to Ben and he went after Ben and then it was thrown back to Mitchell.

"Come on you little bitch hahaha!" Mitchell laughed. Ace growled and clenched his fists.

"What's the matter doggy? Can't take a joke?" Mitchell said. Mitchell widen his eyes when he saw a chair flying into his face and he fell to the floor. Ace grabbed the chair and dragged it to Mitchell. He raised it up and started bashing him with the chair to the point where the chair broke and some of its pieces stabbed into Mitchell. Mitchell shook and cried having his hands on his head. Ace panted and dropped the broken chair and looked down at Mitchell.

"Mitchell just shut the hell up! Ever since you've joined those kids into bullying me I've endured it for awhile. But I'm getting sick of that annoying voice of yours! The next time you decide to bully me I won't listen to any of your excuses or take any of your bull crap anymore! With that being said..." Ace stopped and grabbed his sandwich "Nice to meet you" Ace finished.

Ace walked out of the classroom giving off a very dangerous vibe that made the other bullies cower as they saw his intimating stare with his red glowing eyes. The teachers had called Ace's parents about the incident and took him home on suspension while the other boy went to the hospital.

"Why did you do that to him Ace?" Dylan asked.

"He was bullying me! He had it coming!" Ace said.

"You nearly killed the kid Ace. With a chair" Dylan said. Ace started tearing up in frustration.

"I'm sorry alright?! I lost my cool. I just couldn't take it anymore!" Ace said running to his room. Tracy sighed and looked at Dylan.

"Not gonna lie, even though what the kid did was wrong Ace isn't wrong. He had it coming" Tracy said. Dylan sighed.

"Yeah. It was self defence even if the school might not see it that way" Dylan said.

"Though I'm glad he took responsibility of his actions" Tracy said. Dylan nodded. Ruby has listened into their conversation and sighed going up to Ace's room to comfort him.

"It's okay Ace. Everything will be okay" Ruby said rubbing Ace's back. Ace cried in Ruby's shoulder.
