The Honeymoon
Kai'sa stood at the alter. Her heart was racing and she could feel her hands getting sweaty as you held them in your own.
You were finally getting married. After nearly 10 years together.
How did this come to be?
Freshmen Year
Kai'sa: Huh? You want to ask me out? Okay.
Sophomore Year
Kai'sa: No one will notice if we just sneak away for a bit. Come on, I want some alone time with you.
Junior Year
Kai'sa: Do you really think I should pursue this dance thing? I mean, I'll be more busy than usual.
Senior Year
Kai'sa: You're taking me to prom, right? I mean, you are my boyfriend and everything.
First Year of College
Kai'sa: Look at my man going to college. You're going to do great, babe. I just know it.
Second Year of College
Kai'sa: It's not okay! I'm going to miss your birthday if I go! I don't care if it's a big opportunity.
Third Year of College
Kai'sa: Aw, that baby is so cute. I bet ours will be cuter, though. Too bad we aren't married.
Final Year of College
Kai'sa: Look at this. A honeymoon deal for a pretty fancy suite. Too bad we aren't on our honeymoon. We have to get married first.
9 Years Into The Relationship
Kai'sa: I got this offer to join a group. Like, a legit group. Ahri and Evelynn are in it.......do you think I'm good enough?
10 Years Into The Relationship
Kai'sa: Man, I'm pretty loaded now. And your job seems to be doing good, too. I guess we're both two very financially stable adults who live together and have been dating for 10 years who still aren't....
Y/N: Fine! Let's get married!
Present Day
Oh yeah.
Even though Kai'sa was nervous as all hell, she was also beyond excited.
She stood across from the man she loved.
And you stood across from her.
In truth, you had been planning to propose for a while. But when it finally came time to do it, you got too scared and didn't. Then you go and blurted it out like that.
Smooth.
But it worked.
And now you were about to get married to the most beautiful girl in the whole entire world.
Fuck them other bitches.
Ahri: I might cry.
Oh. Those were the cool bitches.
Jinx: It took them long enough.
Okay, so there were still cool bitches. But you got the best one.
You also should stop saying bitches.
Pastor: Do you, Y/N L/N, take Kai'sa to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and to hold, in sickness and in health, til death do you part?
Y/N: I do.
Okay. Your part was done. Easy.
Pastor: And do you, Kai'sa Burns, take Y/N L/N to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to hold, in sickness and in health, til death do you part?
Kai'sa: Yes. I mean, I do.
Easy.
Pastor: Then, in the power invested in me, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.
You smiled as you lifted her veil. Her face was fully revealed which only made you smile more. You leaned down as she reached up, and your lips met.
Your name is Y/N L/N.
And you were now the husband of Kai'sa L/N.
Everyone in attendance cheered for the two of you, but you didn't even acknowledge them. You were focused on the love of your life.
You've been waiting 10 years for this moment.
You were going to make every second count.
Ezreal: That's my boy!
And to think, he made a bet with Jinx that you two would only last a month.
Jinx said you wouldn't make it past third period.
Kayn didn't even know you two were dating until the third month.
You and Kai'sa separated and smiled at each other. The rings on your hands shined in the sunlight.
Y/N: I love you.
Kai'sa smiled even wider.
Kai'sa: I love you too, husband.
The
Husband
You were asleep by the time the sun came up. The bed was way to soft for you to even want to leave it.
You swore it was made from a cloud.
Still, the sunlight shining through the window of the suite had bitchslapped you awake with its holy glow.
So you groaned and opened your eyes enough to wish for the sun to blow up.
You were 25, sure, but you still liked to sleep in sometimes.
You felt something move and you looked down. Your....wife, wow, was still asleep in your arms. Your hands were together, your ring visible while hers was on her free hand, and her hair was spread out between the two of you.
The white blankets covered her body, though everything from her shoulders up was exposed. Just from the feeling of her skin against your chest you knew she wore nothing underneath.
Neither did you.
Your honeymoon was already off to a great start. After the reception, you both left to the resort where you had an entire floor to yourself.
Not because you paid for it, but because the owner of the resort was a huge KDA fan and insisted.
Of course you weren't going to say no.
Still, none of that even mattered.
What mattered to you was this woman who was peacefully sleeping beside you.
Your wife.
You still recalled meeting her when she first transfered to your high school. She was new, but she was already popular among your peers.
She had traveled the world with her father and thus she knew many things. From languages to culture. And, of course, she was very pretty.
But you weren't all that interested in her at first. Far from it, actually.
You felt like she was just a show off.
But after being forced to work on a project together, you ended up learning more about her.
Kai'sa: Hm?
You snapped out of your thoughts as Kai'sa began to stir awake. She opened her eyes as you watched.
It was only in moments like this where you could see her this way.
Kai'sa looked at her hand holding yours and smiled when she spotted your ring. She gently squeezed your hand, and you squeezed back.
Y/N: Morning.
Kai'sa felt you kiss her head. She then moved so that she was even closer to you.
Kai'sa: Good morning, husband.
She got butterflies everything she said that.
The two of you had been dating since freshman year of highschool. 10 years later, you were married. What a crazy thing to look back on.
Y/N: You hungry?
Kai'sa shook her head.
Y/N: Good. I don't want to get up.
Kai'sa: I don't either, but I need to pee.
You pretended to groan before you lifted your arm. Kai'sa rolled over so that she was now facing you. She reached up and kissed you properly.
The two of you stayed that way for a little while longer before she pulled away.
Kai'sa: Okay. Now I'm going to the bathroom.
Y/N: Alright.
She got out of bed and headed for the bathroom. You sat up as well and looked around the room. This was just where the bed was. You were kinda scared to see just how big this whole place was.
You were really just focused on Kai'sa last night.
Still, it was pretty cool of Ahri and Evelynn to get you guys this place for your honeymoon.
You ran a hand through your hair, which was most definitely messier than usual, before you looked down at yourself. You then scanned the floor.
Y/N: Where's our clothes?
You looked around some more before you heard the toilet flush. You heard Kai'sa wash her hands before the door opened and she stepped out. You watched as she leaned against the door frame with a devious smile.
Kai'sa: I don't know if you've seen the shower yet, but it's pretty nice. Wanna come help me use it?
You slowly began to smirk as you got out of bed. You made your way over to her and leaned down to kiss her. As you did, you both walked back into the bathroom where you closed the door.
-------------
You groaned as you stared at the laptop screen. Your boss had asked you to check something out regarding a new edit. Of course, he said if you couldn't and wanted to enjoy your honeymoon, he could find someone else.
You trusted no one else with your projects.
No one.
So you decided to check it out while you waited for Kai'sa down by the pool. It was actually surprisingly very empty despite this place being so well known.
No idea why, either. It was so clean and big that you honestly just wanted to jump right in.
Kai'sa: What's that?
You didn't look up as you watched the new edited video. Kai'sa took a seat next to you which made you look.
Your heart started to race when you saw what she was wearing.
You quickly looked back at your laptop.
Y/N: Just, some new, thing, for work, it'll be just, uh, just a second.
You mentally scolded yourself to get it together. You finished looking at the video but realized you had missed most of it due to your mind wondering off.
You restarted the 3 minute video and watched it again. However, you instead found a pair of arms wrapping around you from behind.
Kai'sa: Work? You're beautiful wife wears something like this for you and you won't even look at me?
You felt her chest squeeze against your back. Your cheeks warmed up as you tried to watched the video.
Kai'sa then leaned closer and whispered.
Kai'sa: Am I not beautiful, lover?
You closed your laptop and turned your head enough you pull her down for a kiss.
------------
Y/N: Man, this looks delicious.
You and Kai'sa both lounged around your suite with the bathrobes you had found in the bathroom. Thanks to room service, you were able to order breakfast to be delivered right to you.
Your French Toast looked so good and her waffle with fruit looked satisfying.
You were seriously in heaven right now.
Some movie she had found was playing on the TV while the two of you ate peacefully on the couch.
Kai'sa: You know, growing up, I always thought honeymoons were so boring. I get it now.
Y/N: Same here. My parents never even had a honeymoon.
Kai'sa: A lot of people I know went off to the islands or to Paris or something like that. I prefer this.
Y/N: Me too. Why spend a lot of money to go somewhere when I got all I could ever want here?
Kai'sa: Exactly.
--------------
Y/N: Has it already been a week?
Kai'sa nodded as she looked at her phone. You were packing your things as your honeymoon came to a close. It didn't feel like a week. Felt more like three days.
If that.
Then again, the two of you mostly ate, slept, "slept", and lounged around.
This has been the longest you've ever been unproductive.
It felt good.
Kai'sa: Now to go back to our lives.
Y/N: Yep.
The two of you stood there in silence for a moment.
Y/N: I can get another day or two off and we can take the coastal route back home.
Kai'sa: Sounds like a plan. I'll let the girls know.
---------------
Y/N: We're home~
Kai'sa opened the door since your hands were full. And by full, I mean you were carrying Kai'sa into the house bridal style.
You were now home. The same home you had been living in since the second year of college. It was rough to keep it with you going to school and Kai'sa constantly traveling, but you both managed to make it work.
And now, this was your home.
Kai'sa: I can't wait to take a shower and catch up on my shows.
Y/N: And I have to get ready for work tomorrow. Thank God I get to work from home. Thank you internet!
You set Kai'sa down and you both looked back at the car.
Y/N: We should get our stuff first.
Kai'sa: Agreed.
You both walked back outside.
-----------
Kai'sa: So, I had some time to really think about the new choreography for the next video. I think I got it now.
Y/N: Really?
You were both sitting on the living room floor eating takeout while the TV played an old black and white show.
Kai'sa: Yep. I'll show it to you once I got it figured out.
Y/N: You mean when you know it's actually humanly possible?
Kai'sa nodded as she plopped another piece of orange chicken into her mouth.
While the honeymoon was over and you were now home, you still felt like you were at the resort. Not in the terms of your house being fancy or big, but because you were still with Kai'sa.
Eating like this was nothing new. But it also never got old.
Even after 10 years.
And maybe it won't after another 10 years. Or the 10 years after that.
You didn't know for sure. But you did know one thing.
You loved this woman.
And she loved you.
Funny how this would normally be the moment where the story ends, huh?
Not this story.
Not this time.
