You're working for the Queen? I bet they don't pay you much
We set up the camp after walking for another 15 minutes or so bacause Liam was paranoid. "Don't worry little brother, they won't find us", Olivia told Liam while ruffling his hair. "Stop that", Liam said angrily but pushed Olivia away playfully. I started missing Phoebe. Annoying as she was, I wish I spent more time with her. Unfortunately, I was the only smart one who bought a tent. But on the good side, the tent was so big, all three of us ended fitting in. As soon as I got into the tent, I passed out from exhaustion.
Alas, I was back into the darkness. I hated this place. And I seriously need to bring a flashlight. I heard voices. At first I thought it was those stupid whispers again. Then I walked closer the the source of the sound. I tried not knocking over stuff while I was at it. I started to hear clearly. Sound like one was shouting. The voice, that whisper like voice. It only belong to one demon. Masoumeh Tavakoli. Then I heard a second voice. I couldn't tell who it belong to. But their voice was steady. "Fool! How could you let one puny teenager get away from you", she shouted. Ouch. I'm not puny. I'm right over here, you know. Oh wait, you don't. "My apologies, your Highness", said the voice. "She was this close. You could've taken her from the camp and bought her to me. What purpose do you even serve", Masoumeh continued to yell. "Don't worry my Queen. I have a back up plan. It is bound to work", the voice reassured the Queen. I stepped a bit closer. "And how are you so confident", the Queen demanded. "Because-", the voice changed. It sounded as if it was cracking. "I'll corner her emotionally". That voice. That annoying, whiny voice. It only belong to one person. Stephanie Cohen.
I woke up. Liam was already asleep. Olivia was still up. "Why are you up", she asked. "Nightmare", I responded quietly. "Ah", as if that explained everything. "What was it about". I told her the dream. "Oh no", she said. "We-", she said, still thinking of what to say. Then she sighed. "Go to sleep. I'll keep watch for now. You on the other hand need all the energy you can get", she said. I didn't notice she was holding her dagger. It glinted in the moonlight. Actually, her skin sparkled. I wish I had her skin. Olivia was just perfect. And so was her brother. In their own way. But I on the other hand, was a clumsy oaf who can't even control the weather at will. I still haven't discovered the powers I have but I'll need to use them to defeat the Queen. Tomorrow, I had to try to discover more about myself. While there's still time. I breathed in the cold air and thought about Dad. He used to love camping. I touched the pocket knife in my jacket pocket. I felt it on my finger tips. I had to have hope no matter what. Then I fell to sleep again.
