Bryan, Alex, and Maina were walking through the Shrine ruins, Maina and Alex looking around in wonder. Bryan glanced back at the two, humming a bit. The two continued looking around in wonder, having never seen anything like it.

"You two enjoying the view?" Mania and Alex nodded as they looked at him.

"Yeah. It's nothing like what it is in my world. It's much more lively." Alex nodded in agreement with Mania, Bryan smiling a bit.

"Well there's a lot more to see. Not only is there monsters but there's also endemic life." Mania blinked while Alex tilted his head a bit.

"What's endemic life?" Bryan hummed, grinning a bit.

"I'm glad you asked bee boy." Alex huffed a bit while Mania giggled.

"Endemic life are creatures, not monsters, that can be found in the wild. Some endemic life have abilities such as giving hunters boosts like increasing their strength. Others have abilities that can aid hunters in fights. For example, Firebeetles, Mudbeetles, Thunderbeetles, and Snowbeetles, can blight monsters when a hunter throws them at a monster." Mania and Alex blinked.

"That's... nice?" Bryan sighed at Mania.

"Let's just get a move on, you'll see what I'm talking about later." Alex and Mania nodded as the three started walking again.

The three of them continued walking until Alex yelped. The other two quickly turned around, Bryan drawing his weapons before they blinked when they saw that Alex had slipped in a puddle. Alex groaned a bit as Mania helped him up, Bryan getting close to the pile and sniffing it.

"Why was that puddle so slippery? Are puddles normally that slippery?" Mania shrugged as Bryan's eyed narrowed.

"That's because this is bubble foam, not water." Alex and Mania looked at Bryan.

"Bubblefoam?" Bryan nodded.

"Bubblefoam. It's something that can only be collected from a certain monster called a Mizutsune. And this puddle seems to be fresh." Alex and Mania looked at eachother before looking at Bryan, Mania speaking with a bit of worry in her tone.

"Is that a bad thing?" Bryan hummed.

"It depends. If it's a female then no, since they're just about always passive. The males on the other hand become extremly violent when it's mating season, which is right around the corner. And that means it could be aggressive." Alex and Mania looked at eachother nervously as Bryan smiled.

"Anyways, let's get going." Mania opened her mouth to respond but Bryan was already walking off, instead sighing as she and Alex followed.

The three continued walking, Bryan covered in a few small cuts from protecting the two from some Jagras. Bryan was pointing out things to them, wether they were endemic life or gathering points, where they could gather materials for things such as weapons or healing items.

"Alex, the plant gathering points are important for you because you can get ambrosia or jelly from them, and those feed your kinsects." Alex looked down at the large bug on his arm and smiled, the bug buzzing a bit.

"There is a difference between ambrosia and jelly. There are multiple types of ambrosia and they effect your kinsect's element, which can change the colour of it and cause it to deal some extra damage to monsters when you have your kinsect collect energy from it, although it won't be able to do much damage." Alex nodded a bit as Mania called out from nearby.

"What's this thing?!" Bryan and Alex looked over, Bryan's eyes widening when he saw what she was asking about.

"Mania! Get away fro-" Bryan got cut off by the bird letting out a loud noise, his eyes widening as he paled.

"We need to go. Now!" Mania and Alex looked confused.

"How come?" Bryan grabbed Alex's arm, quickly going over to Mania.

"That was a Wailnard! It's cry is gonna lure every large monster in the area to use! Including that Mizutsune!" Mania and Alex's eyes widened as Bryan grabbed Mania.

Bryan dragged them towards a nearby cliff before letting go, using a wirebug to get onto the top of the cliff. Alex and Maina followed, them taking longer since they didn't know how to properly use the wirebugs yet. Once they got to the top of the cliff, they looked down at where they originally were.

Down at the bottom of the cliff, the Mizutsune arrived, looking around as a Raithian flew down and landed infront of it, both of the creatures letting out a roar. The Raithian shot a fireball at the Mizutsune, the Mizutsune dodging before starting to attack the Raithian.

Bryan, Alex, and Manis watched the two monsters fight before Bryan sighed.

"Let's get going now. And don't touch anything that I don't tell you too." Mania and Alex nodded, Mania looking a bit down.

Bryan nodded and started to walk off, Mania and Alex following. The three of them continued to walk, unaware that they were being watched.
