For a few moments we stared in silence, tense and too worried to dare move a muscle. After a minute or two, we both slowly relaxed.
"Dusk, what are you doing here?" She spoke, finally breaking the silence.
"It's a long story...." I replied, shrugging a little.
"I've got time" her eyes burned into my mind. I sighed, giving into her. After around half an hour or so, I had finished explaining while he had sat in silence, taking it all in.
"So, why are you here?" I asked her.
"....I don't want to talk about it right now....hey, is that the jacket I gave you when we were seven?" She asked, quickly changing the subject.
Confused, I nodded.
"You still have that old thing?" She looked confused.
"Of course I do" was my simple reply.
"Oh...hey, why don't we form a small alliance? Try and stand up for the other fauni here. What do you say?" She proposed, holding out her hand.
I thought for a moment before shaking her hand.
"Sure, why not?"
After a few more minutes of talking, we finally parted ways. As I walked, my ears twitched, hearing a squeak nearby. Turning a corner, I saw a rabbit Faunus around my age, maybe a little older, being bullied by the male I had puked on earlier.
"C-Cardin, please s-stop!" She begged, squeaking in pain as he yanked her ear. He smirked.
"I've heard rabbit feet are lucky...wonder if it's the same for rabbit fauni..." Grinning, he tugged on her foot, causing the rabbit girl to squeak and cry in fear.
Blood boiling, my vision turned dark red. Sprinting over, I punched Cardin in the jaw, making him drop the rabbit Faunus who squeaked as she fell. As I did this, my cap fell off, revealing my ears.
Cardin glared.
"You...your the idiot that puked on me earlier. If I had known if you were a filthy Faunus, I would've put you down" he growled, rubbing his jaw.
"I'd like to see you try..." I replied, a smirk plastered on my face, making him growl. He rushed towards me, ready to attack. Charging forwards, I reached down and punched him low down, making him squeak in pain and collapse.
Smirk becoming an insane grin, I kicked him in the stomach, my vision blood red. When I finally had clear vision, I looks down at Cardin.
He lay, curled in a snivelling ball, begging me to stop. One of his eyes was swollen shut, blood trickled from his nose and lip. His right arm was snapped in half, a little bone visible. It appeared I had also broken his ankles.
"You're no Faunus...you're a monster!" He shouted whilst crawling away towards the nurse. I flinched a little as he spoke.
Kneeling down, I held a hand out to the rabbit Faunus.
"Are you ok?" I asked. Instead of answering and taking my hand so I could help her up, she quickly scrabbled away, from me.
Ears drooping, i pushed my hands into my pockets and stood, tail sagged to the floor. As I walked, looking at the floor, people backed away from me, causing a few salt filled tears to roll down my cheeks.
So much for first impressions....
