During the final years of the Renaissance. And before the start of the Industrial Revolution. It was believed that a race of vampires lived in this world. The most famous of which is Count Dracula. It was rumored that he had a harem of beautiful women from all over the world. Many of whom fell prey to his devious charm. Having enough of his blood sucking spree. A group of men banded together and called themselves "Sentinels". Their goal is to kill every vampire that strikes fear in the hearts of many people.

And the ultimate prize is killing the legendary vampire himself. Many have tried. But never succeeded. Until two different vampire slayers found a way to kill him. The slayers from Russia made silver crosses that suppresses the powers of the vampires. While the slayers from Japan made katanas of pure silver. Although the wooden stake was a must for every slayer back then.

The two groups figured that it takes proper timing to stab a vampire's heart with the stake. So what they did was put the silver crosses on every vampire first. Then they would stab them in the heart. After doing that they will expose the blood suckers to sunlight. But not by removing the crosses first from their necks. Although they have managed to kill Dracula and his minions. A Japanese vampire was able escape from their deadly clutches.

He was Akihiro Kousaka. A Japanese businessman who was on the verge of being bankrupt. He decides to go to Transylvania in the hopes of getting an investor. In the end, he fell prey to one of Dracula's mistresses. After becoming a vampire. His business suddenly became strong again. It is said that he was back in Japan while the "Sentinels" was attacking Dracula. And he has kept a low profile and managed to keep his thirst for blood under control.

The industrial revolution came and go. The world experienced two wars after that. Peace reigned throughout the planet. Many of the Sentinels have gone on hiatus. However reports of vampire sightings awakened them from their long hiatus. And many of the reports are coming from Japan. While the ones reported sighted in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, North America, and South America have been captured and killed.

The ones in Japan were the hardest to find. Especially the one that got away from them Akihiro Kousaka. Rumors has it that he fell in love with a beautiful woman. And they married in Hiroshima. And that they have five kids. All of which are boys. The rumors turned out to be true. They were always sighted in Hokkaido and Okinawa. However, they possess two traits that are not present in other vampires.

They're not allergic to garlic. And are immune to ordinary water. But they are allergic to bell peppers. They're clan grew all across the country. And each member of the family has minions of their own. The elder Kousaka couple died after being ambushed by members of the Kira clan. A prominent clan who are renowned in Japan as a family of slayers.

Their Russian counterparts are the Ayase clan. Unlike their Japanese counterparts. They're more brutal and sadistic. Although both slayers are busy hunting down and killing vampires. The Kousaka clan has been their most elusive target. Even though the clan head and his wife have been killed already.

They managed to avoid capture. And dodged every ambush tried on them. And this frustrates not only both famous slayers. But other vampire slayer groups all over the world. Some think that they might have migrated to a place where they are not easily recognized. Others suspect that they could have gone to uninhabited islands.

The truth is that they are still in Japan. And they live in underground cities where the sun can't reach them. All of them are waiting for the one vampire who will lead them to victory over the slayers. But the question is. Who and when will that vampire come? Only time will tell. For now they must do everything that they can to avoid getting killed.

Modern day Japan, the 31st of July. Three days before the birthday of a ginger haired girl.

Some where in a suburban area of Akihabara. Specifically in a two story building with a sign in between the first and second floor. The sign says "Homura" and a couple are currently discussing about their eldest daughter. She will turn 18 on the 3rd of August. And this is when a female member of the Kousaka clan becomes a vampire. And this is something that the woman is afraid of.

????: What do we now?

????: We have to accept the fact that she's going to be one of us when she turns 18.

????: I'm scared for our children.

????: Me too. But that's the path they will be taking soon.

????: Amuro, How will she take it? Plus she's in love with a girl from the Kira clan. Yukiho is in love with the youngest daughter of the Ayase clan. And Honoka is friends with the eldest daughter. We both know that their families are members of the Sentinels.

No student has ever formed a new school idol group that will represent Otonokizaka. And this is because they fear of being compared to Muse. The last school idol group that represented Otonokizaka High School was the tandem of Yukiho Kousaka and Alisa Ayase. After that, no school idol group was formed again.
