"And then she hung up. Ah got outta there before she saw me".

Applejack sighed and adjusted the dead deer on her shoulder, her hunting gear in the other hand. It was their dinner for that night. They had just gotten back to their world a few hours ago and needed some dinner.

Twilight and Pinkie looked at eachother.

"Woah. That's strange", Twilight said.

"Yeah", Pinkie said waving to a few townspeople. The girls were currently back in their own world.

"You know", Twilight said. "It's been a few days since we were last here".

The girls looked around the village. They noticed that not that many people were outside. The people that were, they were acting different. The adults kept their children close. The kids weren't running around like usual.

"What's goin on with everyone??", Applejack asked.

"I'm not sure", Twilight said. "But-".

The three suddenly stopped and gasped.

The village library were in ruins. Twilight stood there in horror.

"W-What??".

"Hey!", they heard someone call.

They turned around and saw one of the library keepers, also the smartest man in the village,walking over to them. His name was Dame Neutron . The man had short feathery brown hair. His big brown eyes were focused at the task at hand. He was a scientist in the village as well.

"What happened to the library??", Twilight asked him.

Dame raised an eyebrow.

"You girls were certainly gone for quite some time", he said. "But totally understandable. You will not believe what happened a few days ago while you were gone".

The girls looked at eachother.

"A creature attacked the city".

The girls were shocked. A creature??.

"Well that explains why everyone is actin' all strange. What did it look like??", Applejack asked.

Dame thought a moment.

"Hmm. Well.... it had wings. It looked like a small dragon".

Applejack's eyes widened. It must be the same creature from the forbidden forest. But how??".

"It rampaged the village, destroyed a few buildings. Some folks say that they saw it come out of a portal. But the creature dissappeared after being fought off. It headed back in the direction it came from".

"Thanks".

The man nodded. "I must be going. Be careful girls. Don't want anything to happen to you".

Applejack smiled. The man was always watching out for them nowadays. "Don't worry. We can handle ourselves. But thanks fir the heads up".

The man gave a nod and went on his way. Applejack turned to the two other girls.

"Okay. What do ya'll think it was??. Ah think it was the creature from Avalen".

"It has to be", Twilight said, bringing her hand up to her chin, in thought.

"It had wings. Just like the creature Rainbow fought".

"Do you think it'll stay in this world??", Pinkie asked quietly, lookimg around.

Twilight shook her head. "No. Dame said that it went back the way it came. Which means it probably went back to the portal".

Twilight began to pace.

"What I don't understand is why it came here??. And why attack this village. There's millions and millions of other places to attack. So why here??".

Applejack placed her hands on her hips.

"Maybe because it's the closest one ta the portal. It's the first one the creature saw an it attacked".

"How did it even know about the portal??. How did it get it open without Rainbow's one of the royal family's necklaces to open it??".

There were so many questions yet so many possible answers. Things weren't making sense anymore.

"Ah swear", Applejack said. "Nothin is normal round here anymore".

Pinkie Pie turned and looked at the blonde hunter.

"You mean going to another world, battling a dragon and sneaking into a place that's actually called the forbidden forest and rescuing a fairy princess from an evil power crazed fairy vent on ruling said world and then become best friends with said princess and now having fairy friends and the king and queen of the fairy world is normal??".

Applejack smiled. "Well, no. But you know what ah meant".

The girls laughed. Applejack looked back at the rubble that was once a library.

"C'mon girls", she said. "Let's go back to mah house an get this here ready fir dinner".

The girls headed back to the house. They spent the afternoon preparing and roasting the deer over a fire. Pinkie made a stew to go with it.

Once it was done, their.stachs were growling. The steamy meal smelled delicious. The hungry hunters served themselves and ate outside.

Applejack smiled. "It is amazin. Great job on the stew Pinkie".

"Yeah", Twilight said smiling. "It tastes great".

Pinkie beamed at the compliment. She stuffed her face with meat. Ripping off a chunk with her teeth, she looked at Applejack. Applejack had a sad look on her face.

Pink frowned. "What's wrong Applejack??".

Applejack sat up straight and lol ed at her. She sighed.

"Ah just can't stop thinkin bout Rainbow Dash. It's driving me crazy. She's not herself and ah don't know what ta do. If this continues then the whole kingdom will start ta hate er and that won't be good".

"Applejack", Twilight said. "We told you not to worry about that. You'll talk to her after the festival tomorrow. You'll figure this all out. We know you will".

Applejack smiled. "Thanks".

The girls continued to eat their dinner. The sun was still high. So after they finished, they decided to walk around the village.

The girls went to different shops. They went to the blacksmith. The man showed them some new hunting gear they got. The girls enoyed testing them out in the field.

"This is so cool", Pinkie said. Swinging her sword, she cut into a nearby tree.

"Pinkie", Twilight scolded.

Pinkie smiled sheepishly and yanked her sword out. She walked over to Applejack.

"So where so we go-".

Suddenly a sound was heard. Twilight recognized that sound. They heard screams of fright. People were running. The girls looked at eachother. Applejack, Twilight, and Pinkie nodded. They set off in the direction of the sound, weapons in hand.

People ran past them, screaming in fear. The girls heard the sound getting closer. The three teens came to the center of the town. They skidded to a stop. Their eyes widened but they weren't surprised.

"It's back", Applejack said. She sighed and placed a hand to her temple. "Why am ah not surprised??".
