ajax's P.O.V.

     "I punched her," I say to my brother still in shock of the fact. "I punched Kira."

     "You did well. You did what was necessary." Chase says, his eyes void of emotion. His eyes avert my gaze.

     "You're not supposed to go around punching people, especially when they are not in their right minds." I know I'm just making up excuses. I did what I was taught. Even if I didn't want to do it, I did do the right thing.

     "I don't care what you learned in that little human school of yours, but we aren't human, we're wolfs. It's how we were raised. We weren't raised human like your friend in there. So keep your feelings for her in check, and do what you know is right. Remember she's not your mate." He says hitting his punching bag. He hasn't stopped working out all day. He's scared. I know my brother, he does this whenever he's scared and wants to avoid his problems. "After what you told me she did today, I realized she's more dangerous and powerful than we thought."

     "Feelings? I don't have feelings for Kira." Chase rolls his eyes, not believing a word I say. "I don't," I say more stern this time. "And what if I never find my mate? Should I just be alone and miserable my whole life? There have been so many people who have never even found their mate."

He walks over to the desk filled with piles of books.

     "I'm not telling you to me miserable and grumpy your whole life. I'm just telling you not to get too attached, I need to know that you will put her down if necessary." I nod my head. "Good, now can we get back to business. We have to find out what's wrong with her." He says motioning over to Kira with his head.

     "Alright." We open up books passed down centuries throughout our family. We go through hundreds of books about werewolves, witches, vampires, zombies, banshees, kanimas, succubus, demons and a whole lot more. Anything about anything supernatural could be found in these books.

Hours passed before we find the answer, Kira passed out cold the whole time from the neutralizer we gave her so she wouldn't wake up before we found an answer. She's too dangerous right now 

     "Look here," I say pointing to a small book no one seemed to notice before. "

It's a small brown leather notebook. Like something you would write down notes in or keep a journal in. I open the book and look inside. It's a hunter's book. I recognize it. It was my father's. While in a war with hunters, he, not much older than I am now, stole the book. It was thought to have been lost in war but, I had no idea my own family had it all along.

I look through the pages looking to find the answer when I finally find the section about wolves. I graze each page to see what could be affecting her when I finally find it. I look up at my brother confused who grabs the books out of my hands to read it himself.

     "She's a luna wolf?" He says in shock. "There is no way that this human made girl is a luna wolf."

     "I thought they were just a myth," I say still confused.

     "They aren't, Luna wolves are one of the most powerful wolves know. They are born with werewolf DNA but because their power is so strong they never turn until bitten or scratched by an alpha wolf. Imagine if you had all that power manifesting inside of you, just building up. Then suddenly it was all finally released. If we don't contain her who knows what will happen." Chase says looking at Kira with new eyes.

     "We need to tell her." I say. "She won't cooperate if we do it against her will." I know Kira. She'll just be all the more scared and will fight even harder than she already is.

     "And she won't cooperate if she knows we have to chain her up." I look at my brother. What he's saying is true. But I can't shake the feeling that is we don't tell her it'll be worse.

I look at Chase with pleading eyes. I can't challenge him or talk back. He may be my brother but he's also the alpha, it would be disrespectful in front of the others.

     Chase sees me looking at him. He interprets and sees I think telling her is best. "It's better to tell her with a chance she'll cooperate than to not tell her and there be no chance at all." He looks around at everyone, almost everyone agreeing completely and couple thinking otherwise. "That's my final decision," He says loudly and sternly to put the others in place. "As alpha."

I slowly nod my head at him to say thank you and he nods back. He signals for me to go towards Kira in the now shut room to tell her the news myself. I walk over and open the door.

     Kira is sitting down against the wall. She woke up from being knocked out a couple minutes ago but is still a little out of it. Both her arms and feet are chained to the wall. There's a small bruise forming from where I punched her. "Kira?" I say quietly walking over to her. She stirs a little, I think she's sleeping.

     "Zach, I swear if you do not leave my room in less than 5 seconds I will beat the crap out of you." She goes back to sleep and goes quiet. I chuckle a little at her response. Was she like this before she was scratched?

     "Kira, It's me. Ajax." She seems to jump at the sound of my name but tries not to show it. One eye opens and looks at my face. A sudden hatred fills up over her, her eyes glisten, remembering all of what happened today.

     She quickly stands to her feet and tries to attack me. "I'm gonna kill you!" She says. "You stopped me! That bitch deserved to die!" She growls, hatred in her voice.

     What could have she done that was so bad? I know the full moon is affecting her, but this seems like something deeper. Something personal. I better not ask unless I want that fury unleashed on me. "You can kill her later," I say wanting to push the topic aside. "But right now there's something I have to tell you."

Kira looks at me with disinterest but I decide to continue anyway.

     "You aren't exactly a– normal, wolf per-say." I start off.

     "Is any werewolf normal? Because as far as I know none of this is normal! I never asked for this. I never got to choose if I wanted this life. And I for sure didn't get the privilege to learn all of this as a child like you and your little wolf pals in the other room." She practically spits out.

     "I know you didn't get to choose this but neither did any of us. The majority of us were born into it, just like you. So don't tell me it's a privilege. I spent my childhood in the woods learning to hunt and fight, not play board games and make friends."

     She looks at me. Thinking of nothing to say back while she processes what I said. "What did you say?" She says looking at me intensely now. "You said that the majority were born into it -- like me."

     "That's what I wanted to talk to you about," I say backing up with my head down. I explain everything to her while she sits never moving or looking at me directly, absorbing every word. Her eyes seem cold, void of emotion. Until I see a single tear fall down her cheek.

     "Are y- are you crying?" I ask. Just moments ago she was the iciest bitch in town and now she's crying. I don't know whether to trust her or not. Regardless of my doubt, I make my way towards her. Her head is embezzled between her knees and I can hear her quiet sobs. I crouch down to comfort her, "Kira? Are you ok?" I think she's actually crying.

     She shakes her head. "I've been lied to my whole life." I sit down next to her and give her a side hug. I know I should be distancing myself, but I can't help it right now. She needs me.

     Kira looks up at me, reality hitting her all at once. "Did I really do all that?" She says quietly. I nod my head slowly. "Yeah." I say. She quickly gets up to her feet, horror in her eyes.

     "Get away from me." She says quietly and unsure.

     "What?" I say walking toward her.

     "Get away from me." She says loudly and sternly this time. She puts her hands up to stop me from getting any closer. "Get away!" She yells. She hugs herself and backs up. "I'm a monster." She whispers. "A monster." She backs up into a corner to shield herself from me.

     I walk towards her. I can't let her think of herself like that, she's not a monster. "You're not a monster Kira." I grab both her upper arms and try to look at her face but she refuses, looking down at the floor.

     "Back up! Leave me alone! I just want to be alone!" She yells, tears falling from her eyes. I try to calm her down but she ends up fighting me, pushing me away. She hits my chest lightly with her fists, she's so hysterical that she can't even summon the strength to hurt me. "Just go away!" She yells very loudly this time.

     I hear the door open and my brother comes in to see what's happening. He runs over to us and pulls me back from her. Kira slides down the wall and continues to cry. "Just leave me alone." She says quietly. My brother leads me out of the room back to where we originally were.

     "Look, just give her her time. She wants to be left alone." Chase says grabbing both my shoulders.

     "I can't just leave her there crying. I have to help her." I try to make my way back towards the room but Chase stops me.

     "The best thing you can do for her right now is giving her her space." He says. "C'mon, the full moon is in a couple hours and we need to get everything ready. We don't know how unpredictable she's going to be or how she's going to be affected." I follow Chase out of the room. He's right, we need to get ready before she hurts herself or someone else.

My brother and I head to another territory we have nearby. It's been ages since we've needed to chain anyone up on the full moon so we don't keep it nearby. It's only a 20-minute car ride so It won't take long.

     We are at the house still looking for the chains when my brother gets a call. "Mmhmm. Yeah." He goes silent for a minute and looks at me with wide eyes. "Gather everyone, we're on our way." He says then hangs up the phone. "Let's go." He says grabbing his jacket and heading out the door.

     I follow him out and get into the car. "Why are we going? We didn't even find the chains." I say in protest.

     "Kira's escaped."
