"Um.... what?" I ask confused and frankly, quite shocked.

     "You heard me." Chase says, a serious expression on his face.

     Ajax pulls Chase aside while I stay frozen in place. "I thought we decided we weren't going to ask so soon, or quite to bluntly may I add." Ajax says quietly.

Hmm.. that's pretty ironic for the king of bluntness to say.

     "After what I saw out there I couldn't." Chase says pointing outside. His finger quickly lands in my direction. "She is more than I imagined."

     Ajax looks at his brother, annoyance clearly written on his face. "She's not ready for this, this life, this world. Look at her."

I can just see it. They must think I'm so pathetic. I've been standing here looking like a dumbfound fool for the past 5 minutes. No wonder Ajax thinks I'm not ready.

     "I think you're forgetting that even though I'm your brother I'm also your Alpha so you will do as I say." Chase says sternly. "Whatever damage you think I did is already done. Now it's down to her."

The brothers walk back over to me. Chase has his arms crossed anticipation and seriousness on his face.

Ajax is mimicking his movement with his arms crossed but a whole different expression is on his face. Anger and annoyance.

I get back up looking back and forth between both brothers. I look at Ajax in the eyes before turning to Chase.

     "Yes. I will join your pack."
