Chapter Twelve: Visual Confirmation

After our chat in the morgue, we had all went our separate ways. Melissa and Noshiko went out of the hospital to check if they could spot someone they didn't know. Stiles had went to help Argent within contacting the Benefactor. I had scoped the hospital to see if I could find anything out of the ordinary. But found nothing. I wasted about twenty minutes checking each floor, but it was worth it.

I came to the room where Kira, Liam and Stiles where, the three laptops were set up and giving them a live-feed of the hospital cameras. "So, now we just wait?" I had asked, as I came further into the room, my eyes on them.

"Yeah," Stiles replied as we couldn't do much, and I completely feel useless right now. But we all waited for something to happen, I paced around the room, as there wasn't anything to do. My dress flapped around as I was pacing a bit too fast.

"Is that suppose to look like that?" Liam had asked, gaining my attention as I went over, and peered over Kira's shoulder, seeing that the bottom right hand camera was fizzing for a moment before it says 'No Signal'.

"No, it's not," I replied to Liam, as this wasn't good. It could be just a fault and it went off, or it could be worse.

"Where is that?" Kira had asked, as she stares at the screen.

"The roof. Someone's gonna have to check it out," Stiles states to us.

"I'll go," Kira had said, before I could say I was going. She was fully capable of defending herself and she's good with a sword.

"Whoa, whoa. This might not just be a malfunction," Stiles had said to her, warning her about the danger that might present itself on the roof.

"That's why I'm bringing this," Kira had pulled her sword out for a moment, showing up before shoving it back into a red material to cover it from praying eyes.

"I'm coming with," Liam had said, as he followed Kira out of the door as she could use some backup and he wanted to get out of the room to do something, besides wait.

"Okay. And you're both coming right back. Immediately," Stiles said loud enough for them to hear, but they had vanished down the hallway by then. He took a soft small sigh. "Kids," he found it funny, but they might be kids but they can defend themselves. One's got claws and the other got a sword, they'll do just fine.

"Wait until you have them," I had joked at Stiles, making him crack a smile, as I wanted to lighten up the mood. But we watched the cameras on the screens for a moment, seeing if we could find anything odd.

Minutes passed, and suddenly the lights in the room flickered and the cameras went dead, as we had lost power to the whole building. "That's not good," I remarked as we had no eyes on the hospital.

"Let's go," Stiles states to me, as he took me by the wrist for a brief moment and pulled me a long to the door. We entered the hallway and the lights were flickering the same. When you have no power in the hospital them something is attacking...

Stiles went down the hallway and I followed him, we came to the stairs and took them straight down to the B floor. We came into the corridor, and headed down to the morgue, we entered for a brief moment, but we notice Argent walk by. We exited, but Chris sharply turns and points his gun at us as he drew it. Stiles held his hands up slightly as I gave Chris a really look.

"The power's out in the whole building. I lost all the cameras," Stiles states to Chris as our plan had gone tits up, basically.

"Stay with Scott. Text me if you see or hear anything," Chris had replied, as he brought his watch out which read 18 minutes to go, until we have to bring him back. Chris began to turn but he points into the room, making us go in as he walks away.

Stiles and I stood in front of Scott's closed table, which they roll you out on and all we could do was wait... About 24 minutes went by, but who was counting, well me of course, I don't want Scott to die. Stiles was pacing in front of me as he held the phone to his ear. "Come on, come on. Answer the phone. Answer the phone, Argent, come on," Stiles stresses out as he continues to pace, as I hear the ringing tone of the phone. "Come on, Argent, answer the phone. Why aren't you not answering the phone?" Stiles was stressing to the max right now.

Suddenly, out of no where the doors to the morgue shot open, as we whipped our heads around to see Argent on the floor, as he looked like he was thrown. "Stiles, Alice, run!" He states through a grunting sound. "Get out of here," he went on as he crawled closer to us, but who was he running from. Just them, the doors to the morgue opened once again, to reveal no other than, Kate Argent.

"Oh hell no," I had said, as Stiles eyes went wide as I could see them out of the corner of my eye. Chris had manged to stand to his fee, as Kate looked at us, but I stood in front of Scott's door, protectively, as Stiles stood in front of me, protectively. Chris had manged to stand to his feet, using a metal table near by.

"Get out of the way, Stiles. I'm taking the body," Kate had said, as she just stares at Stiles.

"Why? Visual confirmation?" Stiles had asked the important question, as he thinks that Kate was the Benefactor...

"Don't worry, handsome. I'm not the Benefactor," she states as she takes a few step closer to us.

"Then what do you want with the body?" Chris had asked his sister, as she must want the body for something.

"I wish I could tell you," Kate had said, still coming towards us. But Chris makes a bold move and charges at her, ready to hit, but she blocks his attack, but he draws a second gun out and points it under her chin, ready to fire if need be. "I always forget you carry two," she replies smugly as she found it annoying. Kate narrowed her eyes at Stiles and I, but she tries to take a step forward.

"Back off!" Chris raised his voice at her.

"You sure you can pull the trigger fast enough?" She had teased him, as she was testing his willingness to pull the trigger.

"I don't want to,"

"You're not going to kill me," Kate replied to him as she knew that family meant everything to him.

"I'm not going to let you take his body," Chris raised his voice more this time around as he was serious.

"Even if you want his body. You can't have it," I began as Kate cocked her head towards me, her eyes burning with rage. "The door is sealed with a spell and no one can open it besides me," I had lied through my teeth, but my tone was so convincing. Her eyes went to me and listened in onto my heart but it beat normally.

"Listen to me, Kate," Chris had began as he was trying to reach his sister. "We have a plan,"

"And if killing Scott was part of it, you're worse than me," Kate replied as she was trying to make him feel guilty about it.

"He's telling the truth. We're trying to get to the Benefactor," Stiles had pipped up.

"If you didn't notice, you're on that list too," Chris had said to her, hoping she would see reason to this.

"That's why I'm here," her voice was raised ever so slightly.

"Then back off and let us do what we planned," Chris had raised his voice once again, but silence filled the air, as Kate and him was gazing at one another, but she lifts his arm up to see the watch and the timer on it which was counting down. "Take the Berserkers, and go. Kate, please," Chris's voice was soft this time around as he didn't want to hurt her. "We have a plan," Chris pleaded with his Sister as her eyes flickered between him and us.

After a moment to think, she let's go of Chris and walks away, taking her friends with her. As we have only a few minutes to wake him up. Within minutes of Kate leaving, Kira had entered the morgue as he eyes went to us but then to Scott who was still inside.

"When did you have time to spell the door shut?" Stiles had asked, as I gave him a look, as it gave him all the information he needed. "You didn't," he went on as he now knew I had lied to Kate.

I chuckled slightly, as I waved my hand out to the door as it swung open and the table Scott's body was on, magically came out by itself. "When you live as long as I have. You get good at lying," I had replied, as Kira came over, and wasted no time in placing her hand over Scott's heart, using her power to restart it.

As the electricity pulsed through Scott's body, we watch with anticipation. Suddenly, he yells as he wakes up, looking around. He took a few deep breaths, as we all sighed, relief that he was still alive. Kira and Scott kiss as she was most happy to see him alive right now.

"What happened? Did it work?" Scott had asked, as they finished kissing and he remembered why he went under. But we remained silent as Scott looks at us all. The door to the morgue opens to reveal Liam, who looked kind of pale and like he had some news... But I had a feeling it wasn't good news...

"What?" Kira had asked.

"It's your mother... She's hurt," Liam states and by his tone it was bad. Maybe my magic could help with her wound.

"I'll see if I can help," I had said to the group, but I didn't let them reply as I had vamp-sped out of the morgue pass Liam, and up a level. I quake to a stop, to see Melissa and Noshiko on the floor, blood poured from her wound on her stomach. I rushed over as Melissa had caught sight of me, as she looked relieved.

"Help me get her to stand," she had said, as I came to kneel down beside of her. My stockings was knelt in Noshiko's blood, as I felt the blood soak through them and onto my knee caps.

"I can stop the bleeding," I state to them as Noshiko looked weak. "I need you to lift your hand off the wound," I spoke to Melissa as she nodded her head, as she wasn't going to question my method. Blood pulsed from her wound. "This will hurt," I had said to Noshiko who just nods. I pressed my palms over the wound, as she grunts in pain. I began to chant a healing spell under my breath, as my necklace began to glow dimly. Healing spells take at lot of magical energy, and using the necklace would give me enough too heal her. I could feel my magic working, as I could feel the blood begin to stop flowing from the wound. I mumbled the last part of the spell, as I looked up from my blood stained hands, as Melissa had looked into my eyes. I could feel them glow their purple colour, like I was one of the werewolves...

"You're eyes," Melissa had spoken, as I blinked for a moment and the glow had vanished and my eyes returned to normal. But I didn't answer her back, as I lift my hands from Noshiko wound, which was now no existent...

I smiled to myself, as Melissa looked down to see that there was no wound nor scar, just wet blood. "She'll be fine, but weak. I would keep her in a hospital to make sure," I had spoken to Melissa, as she nods her head at me. But I look down to my hands to see wet blood, and flashes off people that I killed and how much I drank came flooding my mind...

I stared at the blood on my hands, as guilt and remorse had flooded my heart...
