Chapter Thirteen: Burn

The night air had greeted me, as I walk through the streets, as I needed to clear my head. A black trench coat wrapped around myself as it was chilly, but the walk would do me some good. Noshiko was in a hospital and Kira went to stay with her just in case anyone attacks her. I couldn't blame her as she does right, family is all we have...

I had wondered aimlessly, not truly knowing where I was heading, but as my eyes focused on the floor now. I had noticed the white lines that were painted on the floor. I also noticed my necklace dimming, as it had just been activated. I lift my gaze from the floor and I was in a parking lot, which I had no clue why. I look up to see a car burning in the distance like a good few meters away. I frown as I focused more on a car, and it was a police one... Then my stomach dropped as it had dawned on me...

Parrish...

I vamp-sped over to the car, as it was still burning hot. "Suctus Incendia," I chant as I waved my hand over the burning car, and the fires dimmed until there was no flames produced. A strong smell of burnt rubber and other materials had entered my nostrils, but I could hear a a heart beat within the car. It was impossible for anyone to survive that. I took a few steps forward to the window that was burnt to a crisp, but out of no where Parrish emerges from the seat - well what was left of it. All his clothing burnt off by the flames, and dark soot all over him.

"Parrish?!" I exclaimed as I have no idea how he survived that. I pressed my hand on the door handle, but quickly reclined back as I let out a little yelp. As the door was still hot... I waved my hand out too it, and it swung open, but it broke off it's hinges and fell to the floor. Parrish stumbles out of the car, his body wasn't burnt at all, he was covered in black soot, head to toe... I lowered my eyes down to his private area, as I was taking a chance with this. However, when my gaze reached the area, he had boxer-briefs on. How disappointing...

"Where is he?" Parrish had asked, his tone was dark and rough, as it's a new side to him. Plus it made me snap my head back up to meet his gaze, but I don't know who he was on about right now.

"Who?" I had asked as I cock an eyebrow up at him.

"Haigh," he had replied, but I have no idea who Haigh was, but clearly Parrish knew him, so that's a plus. But the expression on his face was a well known one. Rage... But before I could talk him out of it, he began to walk away from the car. I turn around as my eyes followed him, but they had dipped down to stare at his butt, which was a good shape. Shame them boxer-briefs were on. I shook my head slightly, as I pushed the temptations out of my head for now, as I matched his pace...

"Where are you going?" I had asked, as I walked beside him, but he didn't turn to look at me, as he was a man on a mission.

"To the police station," he replies with a blunt answer, but I couldn't talk him down from this. So, the best option is to go with him, make sure he doesn't kill this Haigh person...

..................................

We had walked in silence for a bit. I might have dipped my eyes down to view the front part of his package- let's say, I wasn't disappointed on what I saw... But we had finally reached the Police station, as I felt like a dog on heat. I so need to get laid...

Parrish went in first as he push open the double doors, as I followed behind him. He walked barefoot into the station, as I couldn't do much to stop him. I followed him through another door that was too the left, as the station was empty. Parrish was in the room first, then I came in. I see him staring at someone and I cast my gaze to the desk that held a man on it. Haigh...

Haigh had noticed someone out of the corner of his eye and turns to see what it was. His expression was priceless, as it dropped and he turned white. "Holy..." He realised who it was and went for his gun, but Parrish runs at him as Haigh stands from the chair he was on. He tried to aim his gun at Parrish but they fought for the gun. Suddenly, two gun shots were fired as a window was smashed. I can hear Parrish use all his anger on Haigh, but he spins him around and they both fall to the floor.

Just then, the Sheriff's door opened to reveal the Sheriff aiming his gun at Parrish, as he has no idea what was happening. "Hey. Hey!" He tries to break up the fighting between the two. Parrish makes a fist and strikes Haigh across the face, making the gun in his hand shoot, as a painful grunt comes from the Sheriff and a womanly scream. I rushed over to him as he holds his shoulder, as fresh blood entered my nostrils. I helped him to the ground, as I see Lydia and Stiles in the office. Stiles came over quickly as he held his Dad's shoulder. As I hear punching sounds coming from behind me...

I spin around standing to my feet as Parrish pulls back his fist for another punch. "Parrish!" I raised my voice high, as I spoke his name, but he had suddenly stopped his punching, his fist was in the air, as his eyes met mine. "Enough," I spoke more softly this time around, but still held a demanding tone. He began to lower his fist and relax, as he breaths a bit heavily...

Parrish was on the dead pool, but being burnt alive should be a no return...

The real question is... What is he?

.......................................

Lydia, Scott, Parrish and I, stood in Derek's loft with of course Derek, as I had asked for his help and Lydia had filled in Scott what had happened. Derek takes Parrish's hands in his as he looks at his palms before turning his hands over to view his nails, which was still there. Parrish cocks his gaze to me, as we just watch Derek examining his hands. Derek's cocked his eyes to Parrish for a moment before looking back down at his hands and turning them over again... We were all in suspense here, waiting for Derek's verdict.

"He covered you in gasoline?" Derek had asked, as the smell still lingered on him. Though he was cleaned and dressed, I could still smell it on him. Derek let go of Parrish's hands and he dropped them by his side.

"It's the hair and nails, isn't it?" Lydia had pipped up, going to give us her knowledge on the subject of being burnt alive. "The parts of the body that are essentially dead,"

"Well, they should be gone," Derek had replied, never the less he should be bones.

"I was set on fire. All of me should be gone," Parrish had said, as he was now a bit calmer than before, he had thought about the situation some more.

"Not if you're like us," Scott had pipped in from the left of me as, we had a little circle going on.

"Like you?" Parrish had asked, he had no clue of the supernatural world, nor does he know what he is.

"I don't think he's like us," Derek went on as he wasn't a werewolf for sure. Derek, Scott and Lydia's eyes all went to me, thinking he was like me.

"No. He's not like me. I would have been killed in that fire. My kind don't like the heat," I had replied to them, as they looked away as we still wasn't closer to find out what he was.

"Then what is he?" Lydia had asked, as she gaze at Parrish, we all did in truth.

"Sorry, but I have no idea," Derek had replied, I imagine this was out of his league.

"But you knew about Jackson and Kira," Scott retorted back as he did know about them but doesn't make him all knowing.

"This is a little out of my experience," Derek had said to the group with no idea on what Parrish was. "There might be something in the bestiary. Did you try Argent?" Derek had suggested the idea to Scott.

"I don't know where he is," Scott replied as the whereabouts of Chris was unknown right now.

"Ok, hold on. What's a bestiary?" Parrish had asked, his eyes flickering between us all. "Actually, that's not even my first question. Just.." His voice was low as his gaze was on the floor. "Just tell me one thing,"he railed his head back up. "Are all of you like Lydia? Are you all psychic?"  I bit my bottom lip to stop myself from laughing, as Parrish's eyes went to the three of us.

"Psychic?" Derek had asked, disbelieving Parrish's comment right now.

"Not exactly," Scott added to the conversation, as I look towards him, raising an eyebrow.

"Ok. Then what are you?" Parrish asks, his gaze going between Scott, Derek and I. Scott wasn't sure to tell him, so he looks over to Derek for guidance in this. Derek only cocks his eyebrows up at Scott, and they spoke. Saying 'wouldn't hurt telling him', so Scott turns back to Parrish and closed his eyes for a moment, before reopening them to reveal his glowing red eyes. Scott stares at Parrish for a moment, before blinking once again and his eyes turned to normal, as you could tell he was impressed.

"For me, I'm just called a Witch," I had said to Parrish, making him frown in confusion. He just looks dumbfounded and really confused, but he was kind of cute when he looked clueless...

*******

Sometime had passed, Scott had tried to give Parrish a brief low-down on the supernatural creatures in Beacon Hills, and what we all were. Parrish was on the couch as the cogs in his head were turning, processing the information Scott had given him.

"What's a Kanima?" Parrish asks. I sigh in defeat as he wasn't really grasping the point here. Lydia and I share a look as it was the one we both know. Derek was standing around with his arms crossed over his chest.

"We'll get back to that," Scott had said while he went over to the couch and sat on the arm of it, facing Parrish. "Just know that everyone like us, everyone with some kind of supernatural ability is on the dead pool,"

"But I don't even know what I am," Parrish had replied as this was stressful of not knowing.

"I'm pretty sure they don't care," Derek had responded, making me cock my gaze to him as he wasn't helping.

"How many professional assassins are we talking about?" Parrish went on.

"We're starting to lose count," Lydia had pipped up, her gaze was on Parrish as we didn't know how many there were. But are they professionals or just normal people, testing their luck?

"Is it still professionals?" I had raised the question for them to ponder over.

"I don't think Haigh's ever tried anything like this...I think he was taking a chance," Parrish had told us. I think anyone who had a list can take a chance on us.

"That means anyone with the dead pool can take a chance," Derek had said to us as we all looked at him.

"But if Haigh had it, then who else does? How easy is ti to get this thing now?" Parrish had asked the million dollar question here. Derek and Scott make eye contact as we imagine it was pretty easy for anyone to get hold of this.

I think that it scared us the most. Anyone can try and take our lives now...
