Chapter Six: Game
A new day had begun and I dressed for the occasion which was school. I had to go, just to continue to fit in, I couldn't stop going, my perfect grade will go down. About half-a-day had gone, I sway my hips down the hallway of the school, my hair waving side to side as I walked, male eyes cast to meet my alluring self.
As I walk down the stairs, my hearing had picked up low growling sound coming from the boys locker room, and then a clanking of metal hitting the floor. I came to the boys locker room door, just in time to see Liam charge at Derek, but he was quick and grabbed him by the neck and slams him to the back of the lockers, as he bares his teeth and yellow glowing eyes.
Liam tries to break free of Derek's hold, but he snarls at him. "Liam," Scott's voice emitted from the room, as Liam turns to look at him, and his eyes dimmed and his breathing was heavy.
"You're right. He is angry," Derek states, as he sounded pleased of such, before letting go of his neck, and Liam landed on his feet, but hunched over for a moment, before going back to his normal upright position.
"This one's yours," Scott states as he holds out a lacrosse stick to him before throwing it at Liam and he catches it in his hands. Liam cocked his gaze to Derek for a moment, his expression angry, but the school bell rang. Derek looked up and around the locker room. "Get to class, Liam," Scott states to his beta, as he took his gaze to Scott before taking his darkly gaze back to Derek before wondering pass Scott and getting his gear.
"What are you smiling about?" Scott had announced as I took my gaze to Derek to see him smiling.
"You're gonna be good at this," he states, his smile dimmed but it was still clear as day on his face. Something in my belly began to do flutter like I had something flying around inside.
"Are you kidding? I am totally unprepared. Remember how you said you could teach me a few things? I think, right now I could use a full-on training manual," Scott had said, clearly stressed about the situation.
"I'll tell you one thing. That anger he's got? It'll make him strong," Derek had said, as it was true. Liam will all the anger built up with make him stronger.
"And dangerous," Scott replied as he was right about that too.
"Very," Derek his one word wonder to Scott, as I just wanted to scoff at that comment, but I remained quite. Scott sighs and sits on the bench in the locker room.
"This was supposed to be the semester I could focus on school again," Scott began, as Derek looks to him with a sad expression before going over and sitting on the bench with him, as I stared at their backs. "But Kate's back. And I've got a Beta. And there's a dead pool. Alice dropped a bomb on us, and then turned off her emotions because we didn't see her pain," Scott stresses to Derek as he looks to him.
"Alice wasn't your fault. She wasn't any of ours," Derek began his soft and meaningful. "And if all our names are on that list, then that's what we should be focused on," Scott nods his head to Derek's comment, as he agrees. "Do you think Lydia can get that second key?"
"She's working on it," was Scott's only reply as she didn't know how to control it yet, and it was just a feeling she cents. But this dead pool included me and I might not fear getting killed, but I don't wished to be killed just yet. So, I believe a deal breaker will need to be stated.
My heels clicked against the floor as Scott and Derek shot their heads around, meeting my eyes, but I held my hands up slightly as I came to a halt in the locker room, as they both rose from the bench.
"I'm not here threaten you," I began as Derek scoffed at my comment, but I was willing to let it go. I lowered my hands, as I looked between them both. "The dead pool includes us all, and if you want to survive, you'll need my help," I gave them the offer, as Scott processed my offer.
"Help? You threatened to kill Lydia and her family. Let's not forget you took a bite out of me. Said you were going to leave more bodies!" Derek states, as he took a few steps forward, his eyes burning into me.
"That's all in the past, and things change. That's when I wasn't on a hit-list," I had stated back to Derek, as I have him a glare. "I'm a survivor. So take the deal or not. I'll even go as far to give you until tonight to decide," I flashed them both a quick smile as it was a mocking one. But my eyes landed on Scott, as I could see on his face that he was giving it a really good thought. "Take the deal Scott, you know you need me," I gave him the advice, but he wasn't going to talk to me, as I threatened Lydia.
I turned on my heels and headed for the door, feeling Derek and Scott's gaze on me as I left, as this was a one time deal, that I will give my services to them. If they don't take it then they are stupid...
......................
School had finished and I was behaved in all my classes, but I did take a bite out of one of the hot lacrosse players, I think he had brown hair. Oh well, but his blood tasted so good and so warm, but I couldn't kill him. He had a game to play, so I healed him up and sent him on his way, though he forgot all about me.
I sit on a bleachers, as my eyes gazed the field, as I a hot player who was on the opposite team, getting dressed. Look at the body, quite sexy isn't he. I smirk to myself as he places a shirt over his body, which was literally a God's body, why would anyone want to cover it up. But the two teams began to get ready and soon enough they were ready to go.
"Hey, Liam! Think fast!" One of the boys yells to Liam, and throw the ball within his stick to him, but Liam had caught it in his hand. The whistle blows, as it was game time, our team began to run onto the pitch, and get in their positions.
Within minutes of the game being started, the other school had gotten a score from the guy, who I think is totally hot. Scott, Kira and Stiles had gathered together, and it looked like they were planning something, as they broke away from each other after a moment. Scott and the boy from earlier, came down to start the game again. I watched as I see their mouths talk, but I didn't listen in, but I did get the boy's name. Brett...
The whistle blows, and Brett grabs the ball in his stick and ran down the pitch. Scott shouts Liam's name to get the ball off of Brett, but as he tried, two other boys came in front and ran into him, the crowd around me gasp, as it was a shock. But the force had knocked him to the ground, and Brett had gotten the shot. I could hear Liam's heart beat pick up from here, and he was going to hit someone. He throws his helmet off and then his gloves, he runs to the two boys on the opposite team, but Scott and Stiles had stopped him before reaching them.
But Scott and Stiles had calmed him down, just as the whistle was blown. The game continued as it was really getting boring, I want someone to get hurt. Kira was benched because she didn't pass, but she did score for the team. But the game played on, I watch with excitement as I know something bad was going to happen.
Liam and Brett ran at each other with someone else running also, but they all collected into one, and I heard a sweet sound of bone breaking, but I had no idea who was it. The crowd exclaims in shock as it was a pretty back. The players tumbled to the floor, as Brett lays on his back as did Liam. The whistle was blown, and Liam screams out in pain. Ah, the scream of pain, just warms my cold heart.
Liam had stood to his feet as Scott helped him, but my gaze was on Brett, something didn't feel right, and I wouldn't be able to tell as I wasn't close to him. But people started to drag him off the pitch as he was hurt, and he was off in no time. Something didn't feel right to me, and I wasn't going to help, I wasn't going to do anything about it...
I stare back out onto the pitch as it was still sorting things out, but my leg began to shaking and go up and down, like it had a mind of it's own.
"Help, Alice," Allison's voice rang out in my mind, but I closed my eyes, as I was trying to block her echo out. "Alice, help," Her voice sounded harsh, as she wanted me to help. If it gets her stupid voice out of my head, then I will...
I snap open my eyes, and stood to my feet and passed my way through students and got off from the blenches. I headed inside of the school, and made my way down the stairs, but at the bottom step, I see one of the medics that helped Brett off pitch, on the ground, unconscious. I steadily go down the hallway, as I reach the door, I see a female student with a cord that was heating up around Brett's throat. I was kind of impressed...
"Harder, hun," I state aloud cockily, as she shot her head to me, as Brett did the same, his eyes in fear of death and pleading for help. But the girl's wire she used had dimmed it's burning colour, and released him from her grasp.
"Alice Harper," her eyes lit up, as she was looking at her prize. "Came to save the day?" She had asked smugly, as she turns to me.
"Bitch, please. I don't care if you kill him," I replied back to her, as my expression had no care in the word. But her face twisted in confusion, as she didn't understand my act, but it wasn't an act.
"You're a Witch, you're suppose to be in tune with Nature," she mocked me, really, mocking me is going to get her killed. "But you're bigger money than him, so," She states as she rushes towards me, but I dodged her attack, and came behind her, grabbing her nape, and throwing her to the side like she was a doll, she hits the lockers and lands on the ground.
"You think you can beat me?" I state my tone dark, I didn't think this really through and went with my vampire strength. But she began to chuckle to herself, before looking up at me.
"I just did," she replied, as her eyes flicked to my leg. I looked down to see a syringe looking dart lodged into my thigh, I grab hold of it, and pull it out. "Just a local anaesthetic," she states smugly, as she stands up. I began to feel the effects of the stuff that had entered my blood stream. I stumbled sideways hitting the locker, my mind began spin and I couldn't concentrate. My legs began to go jelly-o and I couldn't stand. "Night, night," she states as she held a smirk on her face. I turn to press my back against the lockers, as I began to slide down it, slowly.
"You're... Going... To regret this," my words were slurred and slow, but she caught on.
"Nah, I'll be Thirty Million up and you'll be dead," she whips the wire down, ready to straggle me to death, and cut my head off. But heavy footsteps came down the hallway, and she hid, my eyes began to slowly shut. As I reopen my eyes, my vision was blurred but I could make out that it was one of the players as the burgundy colour was eye popping...
But before I could process anything else, I fell under the anaesthetic...
