Chapter Four: Party
I stayed put at the Hospital, as I watched from outside. Police were all over the scene, I had heard that the kid who I fought with, had been killed. Well murdered. We all know Scott wasn't the one who killed him, so it was someone else. As the helicopter circled the roof top of the hospital, I could hear the Sheriff talking to his men. I look up from the ground to the roof, I looked around me to make sure no one would see. I stare back up to the roof, and bent my legs slightly and used all my strength to leap up into the sky and land on the edge of the roof. It had happened in a blink of an eye.
I see the deputies leaving the roof, as Parrish was the last one to go. I took my gaze to the boy's body, his shirt was bloody as he lays on his stomach. I took a few steps forward and knelt down to examine the body.
"Uh, I guess you've been there long enough to hear that we need to be quick about this," the Sheriff states, as I know he wasn't talking to me because I have a cloaking spell on. I stood back up and faced behind me to see Derek, looking straight at me, but in truth he was staring through me. "Scott said he called himself a wendigo," my eyes lit up as I've heard of them before.
"Cannibalistic shape-shifters. But I haven't heard of them in Beacon Hills for a long time... Must have been well-hidden," Derek's strong voice states over the whirling sound of the helicopter. But Derek looks up from the body, and looks around him, sensing something. "How many people did Scott say were up here?" Derek states, his back to me, as he looks out.
"Just Sean and the axe murderer, who apparently has no mouth," Sheriff states as he moved a bit, as Derek went to the edge of the roof, peering down. "You wouldn't know anything about that, would you?" The Sheriff had asked Derek, but he was a little busy, processing things.
"There was someone else," Derek had said, his head railing up. "Someone young. And male," Derek had announced to the Sheriff, as I frown at him, as I was still invisible.
"You can smell his fear?" Sheriff had asked, as it was a normal question to ask about. Derek turns his gaze to face the sheriff, his eyes looking up at him.
"And his blood," he states in a tone that was clear, kind of hot as well. But Derek seemed to sniff the air once again, as he was smelling something else now. "Is someone still up here?" Derek had asked, as he shot his gaze back to the Sheriff.
"No. There's only us two," he replied as he frowns at Derek, but he didn't believe it. He continued to sniff the air as he was so determined to find the source. I smirked as he took a few steps forward as he was getting closer to me. I quickly vamp-sped to the edge of the roof, where he stood moments ago, as he continued to sniff around near the Sheriff.
"Looking for me?" I had asked smugly, as I uncloaked myself, as both of them shot around, the Sheriff pulling his gun free and Derek, getting his claws out, as he growls lowly.
"This is a crime scene. What are you doing here?" Sheriff states to me, as his gun was aimed right at me, and by the expression on his face he was ready to shoot.
"Well, I was feeding on one of the Doctors and saw police come in, so I thought, why not check it out," I gave them a wicked smirk, as I held my hands behind my back, as I was enjoying tormenting them.
"And the Doctor?" Derek had asked strongly, as I cast my gaze to his.
"Dead," I replied off the bat, as it didn't effect me like it did the Sheriff and him. "You can find him in the basement," Derek had pulled a disgust face at me as he wasn't pleased. "We're the apex predator Derek. Get used to more bodies showing up, drained of blood," I chuckled to myself as I thought of more blood and the bodies piling up.
"You're right. You're not the Alice I know..." Derek had began, as his eyes were full of hatred for this new me. "You're a Monster," the words Derek had spoken, had hit my core, I began to feel something, but I wasn't ready to give it so easily. I shook my head as I suppressed the emotion of guilt...
"You want a monster?" I cocked my eyebrows up at him. "Look in a mirror," I was strong headed about my response, I turned around to face over the side of the roof. I lent down and wiped my fingers over the blood that was on the ground. I took a deep sniff of it and licked my finger, tasting the blood. Something hit me, like who ever the blood belonged too, it was changing.
"What are you doing?" Derek had asked strongly, but before I gave him an answer, I swapped my finger over the blood again just collecting a bit of it, before I jumped down off the roof and fell fast, but I landed on my feet without anything broken, and went into vamp-speed and ran away from the hospital...
....................................
The small amount of blood that I collected from the roof, had provided me with information, blood does wonder when you're a Witch. I had found out that the blood on the roof belonged to a boy named Liam, he was a freshmen in the school and I've been listening in all day on his conversations with people from the comfort of my own home. Kira had invited the little wolf to Lydia's lake house for a party, which was a cover for them to get him there because it was a full-moon tonight.
I had followed in my brand new BMW car - which, of course, I compelled for - behind Kira and Liam, just far enough for them not to be able to see me. As I came close to the Lake house, I see Kira and Liam pull in, and get out of the car. I turned of my headlights and entered the drive-way, pulling up next to Kira's car. I open my door, and exited the car, my heels clicked against the stone floor. I hear the conversation going inside, as I began to walk closer to the door, my heels clicked on the stone floor, but things were getting heated inside.
"I feel like I'm surrounded by a bunch of psychotic nutjobs. You guys are out of your freaking minds," Liam's voice began to raise as the effects of the moon was getting to him. "I don't know how you did that eye thing and I don't care. I'm walking out of the door right now! And if any of you try to stop me, I swear to God!" Liam's voice was raised as he was angry, I waved my hand out to the door, and it shot open, making everyone in the room jolt around to face the door. I see Kira and Liam look at me, I shot my gaze to Liam, and stared at him intently as he began to scream in pain, and thrust his hands into his hair as the pain was too much.
"Alice stop!" Scott yells over Liam screaming, as they rushed towards him. My stare began to soften as his screams died down.
"Hello guys," I smirked to myself, as Liam was knelt to the floor as that was too much for him. I leaned against the door frame outside the house, as I wasn't invited in. "Lydia, how about an invite inside," I spoke as I titled my head slightly, looking at her.
"We're not letting you in," Scott had said strongly as he came to stand in front of me, but inside the house, being protected.
"The way I see it you have two options. First option you invite me in, because I just saved you from you're little problem," I had said as I cocked my eyebrows up for a moment. "Or option two, I kill Lydia and her parents to gain access to this lovely house," I had looked around the house, my eyes casting over Lydia who held fear in her expression.
"Come in," she had said quickly as it was out of fear. I smiled sweetly, as I stepped one foot over the threshold and into the house.
"Wasn't so hard was it?" I had said passing Scott and the rest, the door was shut. As I looked around, wasn't really much of a party after all, but it's gonna get busy real soon.
"What do you want?" Malia had asked, as I cock my head to her, as she began to strain as the moon was effecting her too.
"There's a party here," I replied with a smug expression on my face just as headlights came through the windows, and chatter began to emerge outside. I smiled to myself as I vamp-sped out of the room and upstairs out of the way for the time being...
*********
Awhile later, the party came into full swing, students dancing and drinking, music blaring out. I walk through a crowd of students, as I couldn't see Scott, Kira, Stiles or Malia, so I can course a little chaos. I scope the area looking for a potential candidate to be my human blood bag for a night, but with each passing student, their blood wouldn't taste right. I scoped the room for Lydia as I couldn't find her, but I sensed her out, she went upstairs, so that's where I went.
I went upstairs of the lake house, I stare at the end of the hallway to see a door open, as no one was around, I vamp-sped down and into the room. To see Kira and Lydia, but Lydia was staring at a wall as a recorded was playing, but no music came from it.
"Hearing the dead, sweetie?" I had said aloud, making Kira spin around, as she looked frightened.
"The key," Lydia states, as I frown as I had no idea what they were on about. I was out of the loop of course. "The key to break the code," bitch, I was totally out of the loop.
"Can someone fill me in," I asked, as I took my gaze to Kira but it flicked between the two girls. But they didn't speak to me, as they was more important.
"I need my laptop. It's on the kitchen counter," Lydia states, but a bargain came to mind.
"If I get the laptop, will you tell me what's going on?" I had asked Lydia, her eyes connecting to mine, but she read my expression carefully, as her face lit up slightly, like she saw the old me peering through. She nodded her head at me, and before she could say anything else, I had vamp-sped down stairs, grabbing the laptop of the counter, and speeding back upstairs, and stood in my place.
"Here," I had said, as it only took me like ten seconds to get the laptop. Lydia grabs the laptop and moves back to where the recorded player was, she places it down and opens the laptop.
Suddenly, the screen lit up and words that were scrambled up and you couldn't make it out. I step forward, coming to stand behind Lydia as she pressed a few keys and a box came up at the bottom of the screen, asking for a keyword. She slowly began to tap on the keys to create the keyword, and the keyword was. Allison...
Once she hit enter, the coding began to move and names began to appear on the screen. And once the beeping had stopped, 13 names had appeared on the screen. My eyes travelled down the list, as I spot the name of people I knew. My eyes stopped at Derek's name, but the one under it held my name... Alice Harper and there was a number besides my name: Thirty (30)
"What is this?" Kira had asked, as she clearly had no idea on what it was, but I could have a good guess on what it was.
"It's a list of supernaturals in Beacon Hills... It's a dead pool... And we're all on it," Lydia had said, her tone was serious.
"I don't know about you two, but I'm not afraid to get my hands bloody," I had spoken, my tone dark, as Kira and Lydia had turned to face me. I only gave them a smirk, before vamp-speeding out of the room and out of the house...
No one is going to kill me...

A/N
The image above I have changed Scott, Lydia, Derek and Kira's worth to half they were suppose to be, and I added Alice to the list with her worth. Also, I have done it on the other two lists of names, half their worth as well. I didn't want to add more money for this, so I stuck with 117 and just cut some people's worth down to fit in for my main character.
