How it started.
The world used to be a simple place. Where everyone would hangout with each other, friends would go to the mall, laughing, enjoying life. Everyone knew everything about each other.
Until it all change...
------ ( 3 years before the huge change)
"Kyle why the hell are you so fast?" A young lady said as she was out of breath.
"Maybe because I'm in the track team, or your just really slow" Kyle said back as he chuckled. Mary caught her breath and stood straight.
"What ever. I bet I would have won if I knew the course." Mary said as she crossed her arms, trying to make up an excuse for losing.
Kyle stepped to the side and waved his arm slowly towards the track, showing that it was just a plain oval.
"Oh shut up." Mary said as she giggled. Kyle looked up and saw that it was starting to get dark. "We should get home. Don't want your parents yelling at me again." Kyle said as he walked over to his bag.
Mary smiled. "Sorry about that by the way. I cleared it up and told them it was my fault. They ask me to let you know that they apologise."
"I accept, but we really should get going." Kyle put the bag on his shoulder and started walking with Mary.
"It's not that dark. The sun is just setting. It's really pretty if you take the time to look at it." Mary explained.
Kyle rolled his eyes. "Who has time for that any more? Everyone is on their phones and computers that there is no real use to go outside any more." He explained.
"True, but it's still nice to see things that nature provides." Mary grabbed her phone and pressed record.
"Let's ask the others." She looks at the phone. "Ok everyone, what do you think? Is the earth flat or round? JK jk. Do you think people should get out more and take time off away from computers and such or should they-"
Mary stopped as she noticed that kyle was looking up.
Mary continued to record as she asked him. "What's up?" Laughing a bit at her own joke. "There is someone on the buildings... I thought they where looking down at us.." Mary pointed the camera up. She didn't see anything.
"Must have been your imagination." She explained.
"Yeah I guess so." Kyle agreed both of them had no idea of the creature behind them. Mary turned to the side, not seeing the man who was behind kyle.
Kyle turned and ran into the man face first into his chest. "Oh I'm sorry. I didn't mean to- !!" The man, clearly ignoring mary, pinned Kyle to the wall and covered his mouth.
Mary turned and caught the guy on camera. She gasped and set her things down along with the camera. It still recording.
"Get the hell away from him!" She demanded as the guy continued to ignore her. She turned to grab an old board from the ground and went to hit the guy.
The guy, suddenly jumped and he was now on the roof of a four story building. The sound of a scream filled the area for a second until it was cut off. Mary looked for a way to get up on the building but before she could, she saw the body of her friend fall back to the ground.
She screamed and ran to her friend. His head was bleeding and he had deep holes in his neck. She quickly grabbed her phone stopped the recording, that she thought was over, and called the police.
"Your going to be ok.. I promise." Mary said as she placed Kyle's head on her lap. She told the police everything she knew.
Kyle was sent to the hospital and was brought back to recovery. He talked about a man with blood red eyes, sharp white fangs, and strength beyond compare to a human.
Mary was sent home after telling the police what happened. Unfortunately they didn't believe her one bit. She showed them the video that was taken and they changed their minds.
After the attack, Mary uploaded the video to help Kyle get some awareness. Not knowing it would go viral and getting comments from people, claiming the guy was.. "a vampire".
