Little david was only 7 years old.

He had no place to call home or someone to hold him close.

Little david was hungry

So sighting the big bowl of Garri in the nearby shop tantalized his already raging appetite.

Little david had no money

But he couldn't wait for too long.
Finally, Food was calling!

Little david discreetly went into the shop and hastily took a handful of Garri.

The shopkeeper's scream startled him so he ran away.

Only that "Away" wasn't far enough
Sooner, he was caught.

Little david didn't even have a chance to eat the garri when he grabbed and beaten by an angry mob.

No one wants to know why a little boy would steal.

Where are his parents?

Where is he from?

Who cares??

He's a thief and needs to be punished!

Little david managed to get away as he sat down crying profusely.

Not only does he have pangs of hunger to tend to now even bloody wounds!

He looked around for a saviour... even towards heaven.

For a while, he thought he was finally safe until he felt a heavy tyre put around his small neck.

Oh God!

He begged with tears in his eyes

As kerosene was poured on him as if he is been given a bath.

He didnt have time to think or cry out again when the match was lit and thrown on him....

Oh Little David!

Some will say, Serves him right!

Oh little David!

What a plight!
Now a burnt out figure dumped by the roadside.

What happened to mercy?

Is little David not of the deserving?

Oh little David!

Who will remember him?

Who will pray for him?

May God forgive you little david.

May God forgive us all!

I had to write this.
When I heard the news,I had to write something.
We all know stealing is not good,
But not showing mercy especially to such a little boy is way worse..
Jungle justice is not a way out at all.
Am sure there were parents among the mob.

Even God forgives us for the worst of our sins and HE urged us to show mercy to HIS creation in order to attain HIS Mercy...
