That night Aliza was allowed to sleep on the couch while You, Sans, and Papyrus (naturally) took the rooms. For whatever reason your mind was on a certain erased Skeleton while you and Sans got ready for bed. Perhaps it was due to the sudden feeling of being watched, maybe it was because you wished he could meet his grand baby. "Sans, what do you think Gaster would have thought of him?" You asked as you slipped a pajama shirt over the hardly visible baby bump. Sans paused as he dropped his hoodie on the floor. He turned to face you with a serious look in his eyes. "my father would have loved them with every bit of his soul. he would cherish this child the way he cherished us. he would have been happy for us and excited by the thought of a future 'scientist' on the way." A smile crept along your features. "How do you know if they'll want to be a scientist or not? Maybe they'll want to be a dancer or a teacher, or a lawyer." Sans huffed good-naturedly. "i get it, i get it. i was just saying what i think he would say." You laughed as Sans pulled you onto the bed and nuzzled into your body.

When you woke up, you simply thought that you hadn't adjusted to the dimness of the Underground. You tried to feel for Sans, but he wasn't there. Nothing was there. "Sans?" You called, but your voice seemed to be swallowed by the darkness. "Sans?!" You tried again, more frantic. "Sans, Papyrus!" This time you got a response, but not from the two you were hoping for. "Relax, young one, this is but a dream." You spun around to see... a blob with a head. The head was more like a white blob with cracks... on either side of his skull. "D-Dr. Gaster..?" Those cracks, you recognized them even if he was a melted mess nowadays. He chuckled quietly. "Indeed. I must say, it is nice to see you alive and well, young one, I've been watching over you since you jumped. I was worried for you at first, but you'd done very well in saving our kind. I must say, your design of the Imprint was quite flawless, I don't think I could've done better myself." Oh stars, he really had been watching.

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

"What happened to you anyway? Why do you look like... that? No offense of course!" You panicked a little. Gaster merely laughed. "None taken, [Y/N]. I guess you could say I had a bit of an accident. I fell into the C.O.R.E when there was a problem. Not to long after, the human before you jumped, fell and started a mercilessly torture in which I couldn't stop." Gaster sighed lowly, upset. "I had to watch helplessly as my son's and people fell into famine and dispare... I truly wish I'd been able to help before Undyne.." You felt for Gaster. "But, things got better!" You encouraged. "If you can suddenly reach me that means the C.O.R.E is working, right? And Sans is doing great now, Undyne won't be a problem!" Gaster smiled again. "Yes, you are correct. I must congratulate you on your relationship, it's been a very long time coming." Gaster chuckled, "And I must congratulate you on something else as well." His eyelights had wandered down to your stomach. "A fresh young, scientist in the making." You scoffed. "Stars dammit, Sans was right!"

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

Gaster's happy mood shifted into something more serious, catching you off guard. "What's up, doc?" You questioned. (Not dissimilar to Buggs Bunny). "About Undyne... she is furious about what Sans has done and she IS coming. You must warn my son's if you are you are going to keep yourself and my grandchild safe from harm. There's no doubt that they can rally the entirety of Snowdin to protect you. It's your best chance." You bit your lip. "Could they stop someone like her, especially being half starved?"
"She is just as hungry, and they know what you've done for them, Human of Snowdin. They will do anything in their power to keep you safe, even if it means going against their Queen." Gaster stated seriously. "Besides," Gaster summoned a hand which pointed its phalange up in a matter of fact position. "you still have magic in your reserves, as does Papyrus. Sans is undead. You couldn't have anyone stronger on your side." The hand grabbed your shoulder in a comforting manner. "You should be waking up soon, thank you for all that you've done, [Y/N], and please tell my son's I love them.."

Your eyes fluttered open, only for you to flinch back and cover them, groaning. "Saaaans, turn off the... light?" They had power? The power was working? "Yaaay!" You'd been in the dark so long that it took forever for your eyes to adjust. "morning, sugar. how you feeling?" You looked confused. "Good, why..?" Sans frowned a little as he wiped away a tear. "were doing a lot of that in your sleep. you wouldn't wake up though, no matter how hard i tried." You were? "Oh, uh, I don't know if you'll believe me or not..." He hummed, plopping beside you and wrapping an arm around your neck. "I saw your dad last night? I mean, it could've just been a really weird dream, but he was all melted and had a lot to say." Sans regarded you with grim curiosity. "like what?"
"Oh, um, he said he'd been watching, and was upset he couldn't help with what happened, he was happy that I ended it though, and fixed the C.O.R.E with the Imprint. He thought it was cool. He was happy for us, and excited about the baby. Then he warned me that Undyne was coming and that we should rally Snowdin to fight her." You could see the gears turning in Sans mind. "huh... anything else?"
"He said he loves you."
