Death's Dance

Sans glowered at Aliza as his grip on his axe tightened, making the wood creak. He'd had his doubts with you, but seeing the brat back, now he knew. You couldn't reset. You were weak. Vulnerable. Important. You were the key to fixing this hellhole known as the Underground with the knowledge you possessed. And Aliza? They were the threat that he was going to keep you far from. Yes, Sans had been skeptical of Papyrus ramblings about you saving the Underground and he still was to an extent, but he far preferred you over the child turned snack. Speaking of... Sans positioned himself and lined up his shot, throwing the axe so it hit Aliza in the back. The human screamed as she collapsed forward. Sans sauntered after her with a predatory grin as she tried in vain to escape. He pressed a foot firmly into their shoulders and pulled the axe out, staining more snow in her blood. She made a choking sound. "S-Sans... w-why.. I-I thought..." His eye flashed as he lined his axe over the base of her neck. "see you next save, brat." The axe swung down, effectively separating her head from her body.

Aliza had to take a minute after coming back. Sans was aggressive and always has been but this... this was different. Sans was a wait until his prey comes to him predator, he never actively sought out to kill her before though. Now was completely different. Sans- she froze, feeling the anger radiating from behind her. She didn't have to look to know it was Sans. She was dead again in seconds. This was COMPLETELY different. Something happened while she took her reprieve. Something that was making Sans worse than usual. She shot up and started running. Aliza knew it was pointless, but she needed to find it, whatever it was. And where was Papyrus anyway? She should have seen him by now, right? "human..." Aliza heard Sans all but growl, making her run faster. The axe barely missed her as Sans threw it again. It missed, luckily as she moved a little more to the right to avoid it- and screamed as a bear trap snapped around her leg. Sans. Never. Misses. He walked over, chuckling as he picked up his weapon. "i'm enjoying this, how about you?"

His eye followed the kid as she made another attempt at escaping the inevitable. He knew he was going to have to stop this eventually. She could still make a good meal, as long as she was kept alive for as long as possible. He hated the idea of the brat meeting the other human though. The lies she could tell the human. But... then yet, the human had spoke of places and people she shouldn't know of. She HAD been down here before. That's one of the reasons he'd thought the human had replaced the brat as the resetter. Surely he'd remember her like he remembered the brat... right? His hand reached to the hole in his head. Maybe not. He could never remember the brats name, though it's not like he bothered to try. He'd just kill her a couple more times. Papyrus was probably getting worried... and hungry. With a huff, Sans started to pursue the brat yet again as his phalanges tapped along the surface of the axe's handle.

Sans dragged Aliza through the snow. Just like promised, after a couple more times of hunting her he tortured her a bit, broke her arms and legs so she couldn't escape. After awhile, she passed out from the pain. He figured, no, he knew the human would want to see the brat before she became food. Apologize to them, whatever else humans do when they know one of their kind is about to die, so he tried to keep the physical damage to a minimum. He didn't need the human getting to scared of him if they'd be traveling to the C.O.R.E together. He stopped at the door of the shed, digging through his pockets for the key before unlocking the shed and unceremoniously tossing the brat in. He didn't bother locking it back up. The brat couldn't escape and other monsters knew better than to go near their prey. And if the human did try and help them escape... he'd find them and punish them. He went to the house and walked in, taking notice of the human watching him from the couch and hearing Pap in the kitchen. He ignored the human for now in favor of reporting to Papyrus that dinner was served.

You weren't sure if Sans caught it or it escaped. There was only one way to find out for sure. You pulled your coat tighter around your frame and exited the house, immediately heading to the shed you'd been kept in. The door was unlocked, the child inside, unconscious. You could just take her and run. You looked at the door and then at the small frame of the child. "H-elp.. h-help me..." It seemed she was conscious after all. You approached her and crouched down. "I'm here... what hurts..?" She whimpered. "H-he broke m-my arms... and my legs... it hurts." You flinched. "I know, I'm sorry. I wish I could help, but I don't know how.." There was a moment of silence. "Y-you're a human..?" You nodded before realizing that it was stupidly dark and she probably couldn't see. "Yes I am."
"You have to go! You have to get out of here! He's crazy! They are crazy!" She sputtered. You immediately felt defensive. "They are hungry, kid. You don't know them. The real them. Sans is my best friend and I won't tolerate you speaking about either of them that way." You hissed. "Y-you're just like them..." You stood up and turned. "I'm not." You said as you left them there. Sans was leaning against the shed, waiting. He looked... surprised.
