A Miraculous surprise and first day of School
Brianna was making her way back home with her box of sweets in her hands. She was very happy that she made a new friend. "Wow, I'm not in school yet and I already made a new friend! I can't wait to see Marinette again! What a day!" Brianna said happily and excitedly. Just as she was close to her home, she saw an older man in front of her house, carrying two grocery bags, he can't carry them, he was holding a cane, so Brianna went over to help him. "Excuse me, sir. Do you need some help? I can carry those for you." Brianna said kindly. "That's really nice of you." He smiled. Brianna smiled back and started carrying his bags, they both walked to his house. That took long enough to reached there, Brianna put them beside the door, he thanked her and went inside.
Brianna smiled and walked straight back home. Brianna arrives at home where her parents are in the living room. "Hey Brianna, how was your walk?" Jacob asked his daughter. "Great! I'm not in school yet, and I already made a new friend." Brianna said as she places the box on the table. "You did? That's great sweetie!" "Her name is Marinette. She's so sweet and nice. And she lives in a bakery with her parents. And look." Brianna opens the box to reveal the eclairs and Macarons she ordered. "Honey, they look delicious." Kathleen said as they all grabbed an eclair and ate it. "Hmmm and taste delicious too." Jacob said after swallowing. "Marinette also goes to the same school I'm going. I can't wait to see her again!" Brianna said excitedly. "I'm sure you will sweetheart." Jacob smile.
After they finish eating, Kathleen took the box of desserts to the kitchen, Brianna walks up to her bedroom and set her bag on her side table next on her bed, then she notices a small box on her bed. "Huh? What's this?" She asks herself as she sat down to reach over and grab the box and sat down on her bed, "I don't remember bringing this with me from New York." She opened the box to see a black velvet ribbon necklace with a white full moon pendant as a grey light shining appeared blinding her. Brianna yelped as she dropped the box in surprise. When the light stopped shinning, Brianna noticed a small creature. "Hi!"
Brianna stared at it, eyes widened in shock and confusion. "Ah!" Brianna yelped as she fell off of her bed and landed on her back, "Ow..." The creature float above her, asking in concern, "Are you okay?" Brianna sat up as she rubs her back, trying to rub the pain away. "Guh... Yeah, I'm ok." Brianna looks back at the creature and asked, "Uhh... who or, what are you?" Brianna raised on finger, gently poking the small creature which makes it giggled adorably. Brianna took a good closer look at the creature and realized it was a small black, white and grey wolf since it has a wolf tail, wolf like ears, cute pale-yellow eyes and it must be a female wolf. "My name is Loona, and I'm your kwami." The creature introduce herself, "I'll explain everything to you."
Loona explained everything to Brianna about an evil supervillain named Hawkmoth, who used the butterfly miraculous for evil by turning the butterflies called akumas to akumatized normal people into super villains from their negative emotions, "So, let me get this straight; this is like a superhero thing?" Loona nodded, "I have to stop this Hawkmoth guy and get the butterfly miraculous away from him and he'll be defeated?" "That's right," Loona said, "You've been chosen! I can grant you superpowers. The Miraculous is the necklace, right there!" She pointed that box on the floor.
Brianna saw the necklace inside the small box, the black velvet ribbon stayed the same with the only difference is that the white full moon pendant changed into a yellow circle pendant. Brianna picked up the necklace as she stood up back to her feet, "Wow..." "Put it on!" Brianna did as Loona said as she took the necklace out of the box, puts it around her neck and look back at the small kwami. "In order to transform, all you have to do is say, "Loona, Let's Hunt!" and to change back to your normal self, just say, "Hunt's Over". This is also a secret, you cannot tell your family, your friends or anyone else about this or me."
"Okay, I understand!" Brianna agrees, "Just one question." "Yes?" Loona asked, "Will I have to fight Hawkmoth and his akumatized villains alone?" Brianna asked curiously, "No. You'll have partners to help you out, so you don't have to worry about fighting his army all by yourself." Loona reassures her. "Ok. That makes me feel a little better." Brianna said, feeling relieved that she won't have to become a lone wolf, "Now that's out of the way, do you have anything to eat? I'm hungry." Loona asked, "Sure. What do you like to eat?" Brianna asked the kwami, "I love to eat strawberries." Loona said, "OK. I'll be right back." Brianna said as she walks out of her room and towards the kitchen. A few minutes later, Brianna came back with a bowl of fresh strawberries all washed and placed it on her bed. Loona flew towards the bowel, lick her lips in hunger and began to eat them.
Once Loona finished all of the strawberries, she gave out a cute little burp and said, "Excuse me." Brianna giggled and grabbed the bowel and went to the kitchen to wash the bowel. She came back into her room; she went to her walk though closet and changed into her pajamas.
Brianna walked back out, letting her hair down, brushed her hair, putting her hair in a braid to sleep on, went under her covers, and grab a sleep mask. She padded her pillow for Loona to sleep on. Loona smiles and landed on the pillow and got comfortable as Brianna puts on her sleep mask. "I think you and I are going to get along just fine." Brianna said before she fell asleep with Loona.
It's Monday morning and Brianna was up and early to get dressed, she was brushing her hair after she got it out of its braid and took a bath, once she's done, Brianna put her hair in its usual high ponytail, she then puts in her ChapStick Classic Lip Balm Strawberry. After she's done, Brianna looked around her desk mirror table to find one more item to finish her look.
Loona floats to Brianna and ask, "What are you looking for?" "My eyelash curler. I got it before I moved here." Brianna said, Loona float towards her small bag, went inside and took out an eyelash curler,
and float back to Brianna and said while holding it, "Like this one?" Brianna turns to her kwami's direction and smile in relief as she said, grabbing the eyelash curler from Loona, "That's the one. Thanks Loona." Brianna curled her eyelashes and put on her mascara. Once she made sure it's an even coated and curled them again, she grabs her small bag and her school backpack and put them on.
She turned and said, "Let's go, Loona. Don't want to be late." Brianna opens her small bag, letting her kwami to get in along with her eyelash curler, mascara, and lip balm, she walked out of her bedroom. Brianna quickly went to the kitchen and taking out from the fridge is a bag of fresh and washed strawberries for her kwami. She puts them in her bag as well, and then grab a chocolate chip granola bar and ate it as she walks out of her house and saw a semi-large limousine waiting for her just below the steps of her home.
Brianna sometimes forgot her parents hired a driver to take her to school, since she sometimes often walks to school like she did back in New York. Her parents may have spoil her, but not enough to be cruel and selfish. The driver open the door and Brianna stepped in as she said good morning to him as he said it back. He shut the door and went to up front to drive her to her new school. Once they reached to Collège Françoise Dupont, the driver came out and open the door for Brianna as she got out and said to the driver with a smile, "Thanks for the ride." The driver nodded and Brianna walked up the stairs and entered the building.
She noticed that the inside was a courtyard and that the classrooms were on the sides of the building, upstairs and downstairs. Brianna also noticed that all the students are going to their classes, meaning class is starting soon. Brianna used a school map that she got from her dad and made her way to the principal office. It was there that she met Mr. Damocles, the headmaster of the school. He was a chubby, old man with a big mustache and beard. He was very kind to his new transfer student as he gave her directions to all her classroom and who her teachers were for each subject.
"Right now, you're in Literature with Caline Bustier." He stated while look at her schedule. "Here is a map of the classes I told you about and their teachers. And this paper," he started as he handed her another sheet, "is your schedule. Caline will begin class any moment for first period. So, if you hurry, you won't miss much." "Thank you." Brianna said as she shook Mr. Damocles's hand. With that she took her leave and headed for class. She followed her map to a class not too far from his office. She put her hand on the door and froze for a second. She could hear laughter from inside the classroom and butterflies flew around her stomach.
"Well?" Brianna looks down to see Loona peeking out and look at her. "What are you waiting for?" "That's the thing, Loona. I'm nervous." "You'll be fine. Just be yourself. And before you know it, you'll make lots of new friends." Loona encourages her owner. Brianna smiled at her kwami and look back at the door as Loona went back into the small bag. Loona's right, this was it. Brianna took a deep breath and opened the door. Brianna stepped inside the classroom and the laughter stopped. All eyes were on her, making Brianna more nervous than ever. Brianna quickly scanned the room and after looking over many unfamiliar faces, she finally spotted the one person she had prayed would be here: Marinette.
A smile overcame her face as the pigtailed girl waved at her. Brianna waved back and let go of the breath she was holding. "Ah! You must be the new student. Please, come in." Brianna looked up at who was speaking and saw a beautiful, young teacher with pale skin and dark red hair that was tied up in a bun. She approached the woman and got a light smile from both the woman's lips and green eyes, "You must be Brianna." The brunette nodded, unable to find her words just yet. "Perfect," she turns towards the class, her voice louder than before so everyone could hear. "Class! As I told you, we have a new student transferring in with us today from New York. Her name is Brianna--uh... sweetie, what's your last name?"
Oh, her last name. The name that always caught everyone's interest or attention. Well, she might as well get it out. "Lockwood. Brianna Lockwood." "Lockwood?" The sound came from a girl with blonde ponytail sitting in the front of the class. Her eyes seemed to light up at the name, "As in the daughter of Jacob and Kathleen Lockwood?" "The one and only." Brianna said with a small shy smile, "No way!" The girl shouted, rising from her seat. "Chloe, please sit back down," the teacher ordered in a calm voice. "This is not the time to be socializing. You may talk with Brianna on your break." Brianna gave a small soft smile at her new teacher for saving her from talking to someone she doesn't even know.
"Now," the teacher started back up as she went to her desk and started digging around the drawers, "I should have a few homework papers in here for you to catch up on, Brianna, so you can catch up with us from this past week and... where are those darn papers?" Bustier closed the drawer she was in and opened another, rummaging around. And then another. Brianna stood awkwardly in front of the classroom as the teacher looked for her papers. She made eye contact with Marinette, and she gave her a thumbs up which calmed her down a little more. She looked just below Marinette and saw the most handsome boy she'd ever saw. He has a pair of handsome green eyes with blonde hair and dressed stylish.
He was looking right at her. Brianna realized that she was still making eye contact with him after at least ten seconds and her face started heating up. She could have sworn she felt her heart was racing. The boy waved at her. It was a small wave, but he added a smile with it. Her heart jumped a bit at the sight, but then she swallowed her nerves and return the gesture. "Shoot, I must have forgot to make copies." The teacher's voice pulled Brianna out of her thoughts as she closed the last drawer. "I will go make some more copies now. It shouldn't take more than a couple minutes. Talk amongst yourselves for now." And with that she left the room.
As soon as the door closed, Marinette got up from her seat and walked towards Brianna. "Brianna! I still can't believe your parents are THE Jacob and Kathleen Lockwood! I admire their work!" "Thanks. One of the reasons I came here not just to see Paris, but also my parents caught other fashion designers' attention here and are working with them, I think one of them is Gabriel Agreste." Brianna said, trying to remember one of the fashion designers her parents told her about, unknowingly the same boy she saw earlier looked at her in surprise.
Before Marinette could say anything else, she was interrupted by Chloe. The blonde pushed Marinette out of the way, making the bluenette stumble sideways and caught the brunette by surprise. Luckily Marinette caught herself before hitting the floor. "Brianna! Oh my gosh! I can't believe you're our new student! Finally! Someone with some fashion sense around here! And I love your outfit!" Chloe complimented Brianna's clothing as Brianna look at her outfit before back at Chloe. "Uh, thanks?" "You MUST come over today after school and see the clothes I got from your mother's fashion line!" She grabbed Brianna's hands in hers as she hopped up and down excitedly. "You and I are going to be best friends!"
"What about me?" A girl with glasses and orange hair asked, true shock written on her face. "Gosh, Sabrina, stop being so clingy," Chloe angrily stated as she let go of Brianna's hands and turned towards the girl. "You know just as well as I do that Brianna can get me some really good deals on her parents' fashion line and even sneak peaks! Or maybe even into one of their shows! So, if you want any of that yourself, you better zip it!" Brianna was surprised at how quickly Sabrina's face changed from sad to excited. Whether she meant it or not, this Sabrina girl acted as if nothing was wrong and completely agreed with Chloe. Chloe turned back to Brianna, "So, how about it? Want to come over?" "In your dreams, Chloe." Marinette said, arms crossed, and eyes narrowed. "Brianna wouldn't stoop down as low as hanging out with you." "What was that?" Chloe asked, teeth gritted.
"You heard me," Marinette stated as she walked over to Brianna, putting an arm around her shoulder. "Brianna isn't a mean person so she doesn't fit your criteria as a 'friend'," The bluenette made sure to air quote the word 'friend'. "And what? You think she'd be friends with a loser like you?" "Actually," said a girl with dark, reddish-brown and wavy hair, glasses and a beauty mark on her forehead, "If you haven't already noticed, Marinette and Brianna had already called each other by their names before ever introducing themselves. Therefore, they already knew each other before this class started."
"I...I...!" Chloe was struck in a rut, and she knew it. She growled and let out a big sigh that almost sounded like she was yelling, "Ugh!" This made Marinette laugh, "Thanks, Alya." "She can still choose me over you, though!" Chloe yelled, poking hard at Marinette. Marinette hit her hand away lightly, "As if!" "Ladies, please," this time it was the boy with blonde hair from earlier. He had a concerned look on his face as he came in between them. "This must be making Brianna feel uncomfortable." "Oh Adrien, sweetie pie!" Chloe gushed as she started clinging to his arm. Brianna saw Adrien's face twist into something unpleasant as he let her hug him. "You shouldn't step in between your girlfriend's fight with a loser like her. I can take her, no need to worry!"
"You're not his girlfriend!" Marinette was getting worked up. Brianna began to wonder if Marinette has a crush on him. "Tell her, Adrien! Tell her she's wrong!" Chloe had pleading eyes. He pulled his arm away from her, "Chloe, we're not dating. You have to stop lying." Brianna could see a look of anger in his eyes and a look of joy in Marinette's. That made Brianna smile. "Hi." The sound the blonde boy's voice took Brianna by surprise. He was standing in front of her with a hand stretched out. "I'm Adrien. It's nice to meet you."
She took his hand in hers and shook it, "Brianna. Nice to meet you too." It was then that the most embarrassing thing could have happened-- Brianna's stomach growled. Loud. "What was THAT?" Chloe asked, stunned by the sound. Brianna scratched the back of her head and laughed nervously, "Sorry about that. I didn't have time to eat any breakfast this morning. All I ate was a granola bar." "Here," Adrien walked to his desk and pulled out an apple from his bag. He walked back over and gave it to her, "I usually go home to eat lunch, but I decided to bring my own today. I may have packed a bit much, so you can have this if you'd like." Surprised, she took the apple and scanned it over. It looked very fresh and juicy. "Wow, thank you so much!" She gave him a smile, not noticing how much her beautiful smile caught him off guard, dusting his cheeks with pink. "Adrien!" Chloe whines, "Why didn't I get anything? I want an apple, too! Give me one!" "Sorry, Chloe, that's the only one I had."
The blonde ponytailed girl growled and turned to Brianna, extending an open hand to her. "That's okay, Brianna will give me hers!" "No way!" Marinette stepped in front of Brianna. "She hardly had any breakfast! You only want it because it was Adrien's!" "Oh, please, like that really matters. Brianna gives it to me." "Don't do it, Brianna." Marinette gave her a stern look. "Now." "Don't." Realizing Chloe's true nature and after treating her new friend and the others, Brianna said with eyes narrowed, "Sorry, Chloe. I hardly eaten anything today, so I'm not giving you this apple." And with that Brianna took a big bite of the delicious red snack and gives her a mischievous smirk as she ate it. "Yeah, you go Brianna!" This was said from another girl in the back. She wore a helmet that covered pink, medium length hair. "Yeah, show Chloe who's boss!" A boy this time with dark skin and glasses. "Don't let her push you around!" A jock-looking fellow this time. One by one, all the kids in classes cheered for Brianna for standing up to Chloe, something that they've struggled with in the past.
"Ugh!" Chloe yelled, stomping up to Brianna. "I retract that invite to my house! And my invitation to my friendship!" She then stomped back to her desk with an all too happy Sabrina waiting for her. Brianna rolled her eyes at her snobby behavior as Marinette put her hand on her back. "Don't worry. She wouldn't have made you her friend anyway, just her fashion slave." This earned a 'humpf!' from Chloe's direction. "Don't worry, I don't want to set an all-time record for drowning in the shallow end of the gene pool." Brianna said glaring at Chloe. Chloe looked confused, then got mad. "You think I'm shallow?!" "If you mean I can stand in a puddle fill of you and not get my feet wet, then yeah." Brianna smirked as the class chuckled. Chloe growled at her before turning away.
"Okay, class!" The teacher walked back in, a pile of papers in her arms, handing them to Brianna. "Return to your seats! Brianna, since we don't have any extra tables right now, please pick any seat." Brianna immediately chose to sit next to Marinette, putting her bluenette friend in the middle of her and the girl she came to know as Alya. She looked at Marinette with a big smile and her first friend returned it in a flash. The school year was already starting off as exciting and promising.
